I came here for a quick overnight trip and I was looking for a hotel that had a walk able location to entertainment and restaurants, and this hotel fit the bill. It's right next to CityScape and the Footprint Arena. There was a boxing match going on the evening that I was there and the area was packed with people. The check in process was nice and easy. The girl was very friendly and informative, and I even got a welcome gift for my gold status and was offered a late checkout. The room itself was small, but comfortable and clean. The view was of a parking lot but it was just a one evening stay so it was fine. I wish I had more time to check out the other amenities but I will be sure to do so on my next trip. read more

We travel a lot and stay at either Marriotts or Hilton's. This one wasn't my favorite at all. Besides being right next to an abandoned building where there is homeless city sleeping on the ground, or in the sidewalk across from the hotel, I guess the area is "OK". The room wasn't the cleanest. The shower handle is lose so when you tried to keep it at a certain temp, it moves down so you end up nearly scalding yourself, figured this out after a couple of showers trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Shower door has awful design so you end up with swimming pool in the floor, hence a million towels needed. Used the iron, thank god I looked at the bottom, obviously has never been cleaned. Good thing I used a washcloth or my clothes would've been damaged. The simplest of cleaning behind the bathroom door would be nice, there was goo on the floor that goof off would take care of in a minute. The AC thermostat only allows for 65, but it feels much warmer than that in the room. They also only clean the room every other day, so what's the point if your there only 3 days, like they would clean it the day before we leave? Dumb! What happened to rooms getting serviced daily, you most certainly pay for it. The Ritual Bar on the 4th floor was a definite plus to this restaurant, service, food and drinks over the top, this I highly recommend. Overall, do I think I would stay there again, highly doubtful. read more

It was my first time in town and although it was a bit confusing navigating to the front of the building, when I called the front desk, I spoke with a woman named, "Bethany," and she was super helpful. Bethany later checked us in, and she was very friendly and polite. I was in town for the International Impact Book Awards, as an honoree in the romance category, and I'm so happy that the event was held at this hotel. It was the perfect distance from the airport, as well as the vibrant nightlife inside and outside of the hotel! I cannot express the level of comfort I had traveling alone knowing that I was in a pretty safe location. The room had a beautiful view of the mountains and the sunrise every morning was awesome! I had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it and will return the next time I'm in town! read more

**Late Review** One additional hotel for the books! My partner and I were celebrating a special occasion and decided to make a little trip to downtown Phoenix. It all so happened that there was a Cirque du Soleil show the same weekend! This Courtyard is within walking distance of the venue and is a great spot to stay if you have any shows in Arizona Financial Theatre. First off, there is a lot of construction in the area. We had to go around and make some detours to get to the front of the hotel. It took a bit longer, but with maps, you will make your way. Parking was a big downside as not much space. Your only options are to pay in the lot nearby or utilize the valet service provided. We got to the front and the front desk staff were super kind. Very welcoming and already made it feel like a great vacation to begin. We checked into our room and wow much cozier than I expected! Decently spacious for what it was, a great level of height, everything in the room was upkept, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows and bed have just the right amount of firmness, as well as a cushion for a great rest. What made our stay more memorable and intimate was how the staff went above and beyond for our celebration. I got in touch with the General Manager, Trent, at this location and they were able to accommodate us with a drink to our surprise! We checked in and voila a bottle was waiting to be popped open! This was such a generous gesture and made our stay even better. read more

Parking is a big joke and if you want to pay $45 a night for valet don't expect to get any help at all from the valet . Everyone was so rude - the valet, the front desk . I stayed here for 12 nights on a business trip in Oct. The rooms were nice and there were plenty of amenities. My biggest gripe with this location is the limited parking options. I was told upon arrival that I could either pay 30$ a day +5$ for every time i leave, or I could pay 43$ a day for valet service to which you have to wait up to 15 minutes for them to fetch your car for you. You would think for a higher end hotel they would cover the cost of the parking. Luckily for me, the company i work for covered the parking. The whole valet service isn't a luxury it is an inconvenience even if I didn't have to pay for it. read more

Hotel is clean, and employees are very nice. What ruined this hotel was their valet. Do not leave anything in your car (insignificant or not) that you don't want to gift to the Valets. We only stayed one night, and accidentally left our music player in the car. When we got it this morning, it was gone as was a rhinestone ring that goes around the starter button. When I asked the valet, he smiled and said "Our policy is that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items". The car was not broken into, has security system, so the only way to access it is with the key fob. We will never stay there again. read more

We just stayed at the Courtyard here recently while in town for the weekend. It's basically a Marriott hotel with the Courtyard rooms on the bottom half and the Residence Inn on the top half. Here's a couple of things we liked: Pros - Blocks away from Chase Field and the Arena as well as the Entertainment district so you have plenty of restaurants and bars nearby -Room was nice, comfy and clean -Front Desk was courteous -The Little Rituals Hotel Bar on the 4th floor is one of the best hotel bars I've ever been to. Great cocktails. Cons -Downtown is going through some major construction right now so the roads are blocked all over the place -The Valet is almost $40. Do what I did, there's a parking garage right behind the hotel where daily parking is only $12. -The Little Rituals bar is great, but each night we went it's reservations only and got in one night due to a cancellation. The other night, we put our name on the wait list and never heard back. Sometimes you just want to walk up to a hotel bar and grab a drink and relax. The bar is considered one of the top cocktail bars in Phoenix so locals also come here. Overall, due to the proximity to Chase Field, I would stay here again. read more

Came here impromptu to work since I'm virtual and my AC unexpectedly went out mid summer (UGH). I was here for 3 nights 2 days and had a wonderful stay! Kierston checked me in and helped me throughout my stay and was just amazing, very professional and kind. I absolutely appreciated her and hope she gets some mad recognition! She's great at her job :) The hotel was clean, had a lot of amenities I ended up utilizing, and is very conveniently located. On the 4th floor there is an indoor pool (love!!) and also houses Little Rituals on the right side. Hotel was not very deep but relaxing, and I loved that they had a shower next to the pool so you can immediately rinse the chlorine off. The toiletries they give you are Paul Mitchell which was surprising and I enjoyed it! I also asked for extra toiletries since I left my house so fast (forgot em) and they actually had razors, toothbrushes, and toothpaste which was a huuuge win for me! The room ended up working out for my job too and I would definitely come back here again, even when not in a state of personal emergency read more

Hotel is a combination of a Courtyard and Residence Inn, stayed in the Courtyard rooms. Entire hotel is very modern and clean. Rooms are very clean with lots of USB plugs and outlets. Beds are comfy, bathrooms spacious and clean. Love the reading lamps by the bed. Location was perfect. Within walking distance of many restaurants and Talking Stick Arena and Chase Field. Lobby has lots of seating including the typical bistro. My only complaint was the service at the bistro. For the morning rush they didn't seemed to be staffed adequately, waited about 15 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese. The person working the food preparation station was not organized and didn't work with any urgency even though the bistro was extremely busy. There is no parking garage, only valet for a fee but they have a great texting service so you can text to call for your car. Great service. read more

This is the 2nd time staying at this location but last time it was with the residence inn. I didn't realize that they were both in the same building. Rooms are perfect and clean. Bathroom was modern and the shower was amazing. Bed was comfortable but pillows could use an upgrade. We had a great view of the footprint arena. The location is perfect for a downtown adventure. Hotel didn't have clean drinking water other than the water fountain only on the 4th floor. In a world where we all carry a reusable water bottle, why not have a station for water? The water in the fountain was warm and not drinkable. They want you to buy a Dasani bottle instead. That's ridiculous. read more

The courtyard Marriott is located in the same building as the residence inn in downtown Phoenix. Fairly close to most downtown activities and a 15 min drive from the airport, not a bad base to explore town (though parking is a pain). The lobby area is nice (though a little bit of remodelling was going on in December), check-in is quick and efficient. Theres a tiny market that had toiletries, food, and drinks if you need them. What I did notice though is the Courtyard seemed to have lower floors then the Residence Inn as I never got above floor 10. Choose the Residence Inn for higher floors and better views. The rooms themselves are comfortable, with a small seating area, room for luggage, decent sized tv, comfortable beds, and dexently sized bathroom. As expected of new hotels, lots of your modern touches such as easily accesible power plugs, usb ports, reading lights, etc. Wi-Fi was good as well Best part of this property is the little rituals bar on the 4th floor. Definitely try it out. Worst part, elevators are overworked in the mornings. Budget extra time. Also, valet parking only, parking downtown is a major pain. read more

Booked a room ahead of time, got confirmation, etc. Upon checking in, we're told the we room we booked was "not available" and there is no good explanation as to why. It was available when we made our reservation, and now it's simply not, and there is nothing they can do because the hotel is completely full. Hotel is clean and in a good location. read more

The building's interior is clean and up to par as far as I can tell. The front desk staff member was nice, talkative, and offered me a bottle of water. Otherwise, I'm highly unimpressed. I'm an Arizona native so it's 100% my fault for selecting a hotel in the downtown area. Unless you're coming to the area for a game, there's really no point in staying downtown unless you don't mind running out of things to do within walking distance. Secondly, there's no place to park your vehicle while you check-in and it's Valet only for $20. There is a parking structure behind the hotel for $20. I wouldn't recommend unless you're in the area for a ball game or have an event nearby. read more

I love this hotel and the location is great if you are attending a Diamondbacks game, a Suns game or a concert. There are a lot of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. A Starbucks is located in the lobby and serves alcohol after 5pm. read more

The worst customer service experience I've ever received from any hotel, ever. I cannot urge you enough not to book here. A/C wouldn't work for my travel companions' rooms. Refrigerators weren't very cold (even at highest setting) and there are no freezers for nursing/pumping mothers to use. Hair was in my room's shower when I checked in. Hotel mismanaged my reservation then denied me a refund for a night they charged erroneously. Look at my reviews - there are hundreds- and I do not give out one stars lightly. One star because my check out was terrible. I stayed here for 2 nights and I chose valet service as well. During my checkout at 4 am I followed the instructions per the valet card and texted so someone can bring up my car and i waited half an hour only to find out that there is no valet service until 7am, and I was told by the guy Aron, that I need to go to the parking spot which was in the basement and get the car by myself!! Are you kidding me ? Terrible customer service and terrible amenities in this hotel. I am an elite member with bonvoy group and I can promise you that I will never stay at this hotel. Furthermore, there Air condition is terrible, I woke up few times at night because the air was not blowing cold even though the temperature was set to 65 degrees. We are here for my aunts birthday and I requested two rooms. Both were great, however I requested a king for my husband and I and the double for my aunt and mom. The desk associate assumed my husband and I needed two rooms since we are two men and gave us that. She did not tell us if even care when I showed dissatisfaction. Stayed here a few months back on a trip to Phoenix. Was one of the first to do so as well as the hotel had only been opened for only 2 weeks. Felt so honored...lol. But it is an awesome hotel, with great attendants and service. Of course very clean and well equipped with the latest modern technologies and also if you have a room high enough you can catch a very great view of the surrounding scenery. Not to mention Courtyard is located Downtown so it is walking distance from a lot of restaurants, Talking Stick Resort Arena and Chase Field. This hotel is a definite recommend if you plan on visiting the Downtown Phoenix area and is affordable as well (despite the 3 $$$) below the name of here...lol read more

This is right there with Hotel 6. Lights don't work nor do the outlets in the small rooms. No microwave. Very over priced with no amenities. Parking $30 and up. Over priced breakfast. Construction surrounds the hotel and the only wish is they are doing demolition and including this dump. I travel a lot and stay a wide variety of hotels and this place is definitely on the low end with very high prices. Refrigerator could have doubled as a microwave. read more

The hotel is really nice, Casey at the front is awesome. He is so helpful. We wanted to use an outdoor pool so they told us we could go next door to the Kimpton Palomar and use theirs. So, I was hoping to make my reservation here for my stay in November while in Arizona. I rather speak to a customer service agent rather than going through the website just so my questions could be answered. So I call them about few minutes ago. First, the customer service agent was unable to hear me, so I adjusted myself, and I didn't have the phone on speaker or anything. But she was able to hear me. At this point she had a tone in her voice as in it's an bother. I then ask "am I able to get a fee estimate over the phone for a reservation?" She then pauses for a few seconds and again with the attitude in her voice was a dragged out "suuuureeee" sadly. I declined the assistant due to her customer service just WASNT welcoming especially as a first time experience. I was really hoping to stay here. But the first impression was not great. read more

Very convenient location. Nice open lobby and great breakfast area (coffee place). Small booths are available, that have TVs for you to watch the news in the morning. Until downtown light rail construction is completed, don't stay here. Everything around here is completely torn up. Getting to the hotel is already a pain in the rear, but couple the construction with street closures from events at the convention center, and you might as well just stay out for the whole night. If this happens to you, there's one ridiculously convoluted path back to the hotel which is an obscene maze of detours. Then there's the parking situation. There's a garage for $20 a night, which isn't all that bad, but there's no in and out. It's $20, every time you enter and exit. You only get in and out privileges with the $38 valet service. They of course don't tell you this while booking. For all the inconvenience of just getting to and around the hotel, they do give you a free, yet insulting cup of coffee or $5 off of the valet service for one night during your stay. And because of all the construction, there's no street parking for blocks around. The rooms are fine. Beds are comfortable. All of the outlets near the beds or desks are so worn out, nothing you plug into them will work even if you manage to get them to stay in the outlet. The AC blower is ridiculously loud and, in our room at least, there wasn't really any temperature control. It's either arctic blast or nothing, no matter what you set the thermostat to. You're going to just have to turn it on and off manually to stay comfortable. It's Phoenix though right? I guess freezing in your room isn't so bad. If you decide to stay here, spare yourself the hassle and just Lyft, Uber or hoof it around town. It'll make the experience so much better. read more

This is a nice hotel in the middle of downtown Phoenix. They do charge for parking but my ride from the airport was around $20 after tip. Lots of places close by and it is a nice property. The workout facilites are excellent. It is a nice place to stay when you are in the Phoenix area. read more

1st off, the Valet service was excellent, when I 1st arrived I was so impressed that I thought I was in for a treat but I was so wrong. To begin with, I did not receive the room that was booked and told it was due to overbooking. My room was booked a couple of months in advance by my employer and I was here for a week due to training. The room was to include a full complimentary breakfast and access to the gym, laundry, pool, and hot tub. 1st morning I went to the front desk and asked where to go for the included breakfast. They asked what room I was in and told me I needed to purchase my own breakfast. When I said it was included in the room they hesitated but after an uncomfortable discussion, they acted like they were doing me a favor and had a clerk take me to the 2nd floor, she showed me where to enter then left. My card key would not allow me in so someone inside had to let me get in. The next morning, same situation. I was told they had to get "permission" from the GM to "allow" me in. I felt like I was a vagrant begging for food and this all took place in the lobby for all to witness. This happened again the 3rd morning with a different clerk telling me there are 2 sections to the hotel after asking me what room I was in, she indicated I was not in the section that allowed me in the breakfast room or any of the other amenities that I was supposed to have access to. My coworkers had the same experience of not being able to access any of the amenities. 4th and last morning, I just checked out without getting breakfast because I was tired of the humiliation of the last 3 mornings. The room was clean but it didn't even have a microwave in it, for someone that is there for a week that is not acceptable. I had to take my food and go to another floor to use the microwave and get ice. There was also NO bathroom vent or way to open a window to air out the room so the room started to smell like a locker room after a couple of showers. There was no room service due to Covid which was understandable but there was also no place close by to throw any trash away so I had to take my trash a couple of times a day to another floor to dispose of it. Thankfully I had some plastic bags with me because there were no liners in the tiny room trash cans. I have been to many different hotels and never experienced the poor service and attitude from the staff that I received at this hotel. My employer paid for the room but I had to experience this horrible stay. read more

Rocio was the manager on duty when I tried to check in. They informed me that the room would be ready in 30 mins, so I went back after 30 mins, but the room was not available. I went back after an hour cuz Rocio said it would be ready then, but nope. I have now been sitting in the lobby of this hotel for 2.5 hours and so my afternoon is gone. read more

The thermostats are motion censor. So when you are sleeping or not in the room it shuts off. When we came back to our room to cool off from the 100+ degree heat, it took an HOUR for the room to be comfortable. We woke up in the middle of the night numerous times because it was so hot. I am not used to 110 degree heat and this was the absolute worst 2 night stay of my life. I do not recommend if you want to have any sort of AC in your room. The refrigerator also didn't work even on the coolest setting. read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of night and it wasn't all that great. They only have one entrance to the hotel which is the main entrances to check in, I found that kinda odd. The breakfast was good I give them that. It's pricey and the customer service isn't all that great. read more

I booked this hotel for my last night in AZ to make sure I was close to the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful and very nicely updated. The location is great, but I was a little shocked about the price of parking. I guess I didn't do my homework since I didn't pay at any other hotel during my stay, but $32.00 seemed a bit pricy, without another option. Oh well, I paid the price and handed my keys to the valets (who were very nice). My room was lovely and I really liked the decor. The downside, the pool was small inside and the temp was very cold both inside and outside of the pool. Again, I should have done my homework since I love outdoor pools - my fault. There is no roof top access as well, which was a bit of a bummer. I wish the food service had longer hours as I missed breakfast by just a few minutes. Also, the elevators require swiping your key every time, from floor to floor, etc. I know it's for safety but when you are carrying luggage and bags, it's a bit of a pain. I must say I'm a little fussy when it comes to housekeeping and cleaners and hotels or motels but I must say this hotel was very clean very nice and friendly people not so happy about the parking but the valley made up for it so what I say stay yes can I say sometimes it could be a little costly on the weekend yes but all in all your pay what you get I am but the price is still a good deal it's also safe which is the main part of being away from home Hope this will help read more
