This is my second review of this hotel. However, I have stayed here hundreds of times over the past several years traveling to AZ every other weekend, every month, and now every 3 months. This is where I stay when in the Phx area. I stay here because it is very convenient (I.e., bar in the lobby, restaurant on site is open after 4 or 5 PM, it is near many restaurants and stores, has a great gym, easy access to stairs as I like to get my steps in, upgraded rooms, there is apeloton bike in the gym, Nice pool and jacuzzi, familiar faces, etc.), always clean, front office staff are helpful, allservice is usually friendly, and we are diamond members so we get a few extra perks. I do have to say this time around, my husband and I booked 5 rooms for my sisters and their children. Apparently, the kids loved the signature cookies (that I am always bragging about) so they kept asking for cookies and a lady at the front office did make a comment to them which made them feel uncomfortable. However, overall, the service was great. I just would want the front office to let me know if they had concerns versus telling my nieces and nephews something as I was their host here. Luckily, my family did not take offense. However, it saddens me as I do not get to see my family often and I wanted to make sure everyone even the youngest one of my nieces and nephews felt welcome. read more

If you find yourself all the way out in Chandler, I can tell you with absolute certainty that this Doubletree location has FANTASTIC service. * ROOM UPGRADES * As Diamond members, I always wonder if we'll get upgrades at properties because they always vary with availability. However, I had digitally checked in to my standard room the night before and called the front desk just to see if it was possible. Ila was the person who helped us and got us upgraded to a suite! Thank you! * PARKING * It's complimentary parking here!! It's crazy that others in the area actually charge for these things but I'm glad to know that this property does not. * CHECK IN * We arrived onsite very late in the evening around 10 PM and Lisa got us our room keys. She is an absolute DOLL and I will forever thank her for introducing me to the REAL best Doubletree cookies: the ones that aren't in the warmers! Seriously. No diet was followed on this weekend because she was not afraid to let me come back for more!! * THE ROOM * The room itself is very clean and spacious. There is a dining area with a sleeper sofabed (I believe it is a queen size) at the first room along with a little nook that included a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Silver, gold, and Diamond members get 2 complimentary bottles of water during their stay and they were already in the room. Otherwise, it's $3/bottle. The coffee pods are made by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and they have English breakfast tea bags with creamer and sugar as well. The bathroom has a backlit mirror and a large walk-in shower with the most intense water pressure. Seriously, it was kind of crazy! The bedroom has a swivel tv, plenty of drawer space, a section with a desk and rolling chair, and nightstands on both ends equipped with lighting, charging ports and outlets affixed to the wall, and a mini iHome. We had a lovely pool view and I appreciated that it was empty. There's also a gorgeous fire pit area and we could see the fitness center from our room as well. * AMENITIES * I love a good fitness center but I love it even more when it's 24/7 and EMPTY! Nobody was ever seen inside when we were there which meant we had full reign over the area. They have dumbbells, cables, a peloton, bench, and a few treadmills. You won't get a serious workout in but it'll get the job done. They also have complimentary towels, sanitizing wipes, and sealed earphones that you can use for the machines. I also appreciated the filtered water station as I definitely used that during our stay. In the lobby, you'll also find a bar that we did not frequent during our visit. We did, however, make use of our daily dining credit at the market to buy Suntory vodka seltzers. They're not cheap, but when you use credits it's basically free. They do serve breakfast at this restaurant but we never woke up early enough to actually enjoy it. * OVERALL * This was a fantastic stay and while we're normally accustomed to Conrad/WA locations, I can confidently say that this was a truly 5/5 experience and one that I look forward to going back to. I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool was large and clean and the hot tub was nice and hot. They are also in a courtyard with palm trees that gives it a real resort vibe...no traffic noise, etc. Just palms blowing in the wind. I only had a glass of wine at the bar, but the bartender was very friendly and talkative. The breakfast was incredible. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. The breakfast burrito was large and very tasty. I would go back just for a plate of those potatoes. The staff here was also very friendly and helpful. All in all, this was a great stay. read more

Stayed here one night before flying back home. The check-in was quick and easy and there were cookies! The room was clean and spacious. Most of all it was quiet unlike the previous few nights at the other location. It is in a good location near several places to eat and shop, if you want to do that. Nice room, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. The small restaurant is both inefficient and overprice. We waited a half hour for our breakfast order before we were told our order didn't print out to the chef. We left for McDonald's. There were literally dozens of unsupervised teens, here for some sports competition, lounging on the hallway floors. They took over the pool...throwing balls, jumping and splashing. Again, no adult supervision. I spoke with one of the desk clerks re: my inability to use the pool or to use a chaise without being splashed. She said, "I'm sorry." That's it. read more

A Desert Oasis -- With Water the exact temp I want it... I Thought I Was Baptized Let me just say -- the DoubleTree in Chandler, AZ doesn't just meet expectations. It tucks them in, gives them a warm cookie (yes, the famous ones), and then exceeded them like it was on a mission from Hospitality Heaven. First of all, the staff? Incredibly kind and ridiculously attentive. I swear they have a sixth sense for guest comfort. I'd think about needing a towel, and poof -- someone's at the door with one, smiling like they've just completed their life's purpose. At one point I coughed and I think someone offered me herbal tea and a wellness check. I've stayed here MANY times over the past two years. They see come in, and smile... and eyeroll a bit, as my dad jokes get a bit much for them... Now... the water. Oh, the water. I don't know what Chandler magic they've piped into that plumbing, I showered in it and came out questioning if I'd just been spiritually reborn especially after the clean close shave I enjoyed. I honestly considered bottling it and selling it under the name "AquaTree." The room was clean and cozy, the cookies were warm and life-affirming, but that water... I'll be dreaming of it every time I drink from my sad tap at home. Thanks for the stay, DoubleTree. You didn't just give me a good night's sleep --you made me feel cared for! read more

I have been staying at the Homewood in Chandler while on work trips for the past ten years or so. That property was new when I started staying, but it is starting to show its age. Decided to give this new DoubleTree a shot a few visits ago and have been very happy with the property and staff. Quiet rooms, everything is clean and new. Has a small bar and restaurant in the lobby with big screens to watch games. Comfortable beds, pillows, and high quality sheets. This DoubleTree has become my new spot. The hotel is clean and very nice, as is the room. The location is convenient to I-10. Other than that they fall short. We went to the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast and coffee. It was market style with a Starbucks. In addition to being very expensive, it was the worst coffee I've had. We waited over 40 minutes for our breakfast. I inquired about it and the girl said "we're busy". 10 minutes layered she came out to say our order was "lost" due to the printer being out of paper. We left and went elsewhere, late for our appointment. My husband then wanted to spend a nice day at the pool while I visited family. No such luck! The pool was taken over by at least 15 young teens, playing ball in the pool, loud, splashing, no room for anyone in the pool or hot tub. They were a soccer team. There wad NO ADULT SUPERVISION. none. We went out later and returned and the boys were laying and sitting on the floor in the hallway by the pool, horsing around on the phones, playing videos, I had approximately 8 inches to walk though. Again no adult supervision. We decided to go to the pool last night to take a swim. No luck, the same boys had taken over the entire pool and pool area. My husband went to the desk, all they could say is, "we're sorry". We will never stay at this hotel. Management is very lax. I have to say they did refund us for the breakfast fiasco. read more

Don't stay here, loyalty means nothing to them. I've stayed here since they opened, always booking the 2 Room Deluxe Suite. I've stayed here so much, I always choose the same room on the 4th floor. I am Lifetime Diamond, that tells you I am loyal to Hilton. Last month they changed my room type to a handicapped room, I called and advised that I didn't book that room, and they should not have changed it. The employee on the phone responded "well they did". I told her to cancel my reservation then and she responded "thanks". She didn't cancel it, so I did, and booked at another property, which was great, and had it not been for this experience, I would have never tried that property. I contacted the Diamond desk about this experience, it's no surprise that management at this property just ignored it and never contacted me and it's now been 3 weeks. So disappointing. I will never stay here again. There are lots of options for Hilton properties around Phoenix, choose one of the other hundred, not this one. read more

It was way brighter than most hotels. You could tell it went thru a makeover within I'd guess the last 5 years. Even so they were painting and laying new carpet. Very clean. Friendly staff....good location right by the 10 highway. read more

I been staying at this hotel 6-7 times a year for the past 3ish years and the place is great, clean, nice location and great rooms. Over the past year my only complaints are that the hot water is not hot but what I would call lukewarm. I had a few business associates who also commented on this and was told during the last stay (4 weeks ago) that it was a boiler issue but it's still lukewarm at best and I believe it is more likely a cost saving issue. If needed I can swipe my credit card if the water will get hotter...just kidding but hard to shave with lukewarm water. I did leave the housekeeper a note asking for shampoo as there were two body wash and one conditioner in the shower but no shampoo but unfortunately that didn't happen either. Overall, still a great place to stay but please work on turning up the warm (hot) water 10 degrees more. Morning Update: This morning HOT water...yay. Unfortunately its after i had to shave with warm water and endured many cuts to my face :( Room Service never brought Shampoo last night, so had to wash my hair with body wash again. Late Afternoon: No Shampoo again (room service -2nd day) nor front desk so back to body wash so my hair should really be brittle :( I am starting to think this relationship is like a bad marriage and bound for separation which is unfortunate as I like this place, but deaf ears and caring are the same in a bad marriage as as bad hotel relationship. read more

First I'll start by saying we felt the overall place was clean, and smelled clean. The front desk staff of Amanda and Tammy outshined anyone else in that place. They were kind, professional, and always courteous. The rest of the staff however, not so much. There is a short blonde who works in housekeeping that pretty much hates the world. I tried to greet her in our hallway one day and was completely ignored, all while having a sour look on her face. Saw her the next day, same thing, as if I didn't exist. That's rude, and completely unprofessional. We wanted to swim in the pool which the water was really green, and smelled heavily of chlorine. The hot tub was really nice though. What ruined our relaxing experience though was the pool staff that were in the pump room talking out loud and cussing up a storm right in front of us while trying to fix something. Again, unprofessional! The breakfast/eating area is nice and well kept, and there's a microwave to use, but no plates. There's utensils and a few condiments out, but no plates, not even paper plates. C'mon Hilton, you can do better! The stupid plastic room keys quit working half the time, and in order to use the digital key you have to be a Hilton honors member, and have the app, which we did, but still. Lastly, the manager on duty was dressed like something out of an 80's music video, which was weird, and was stocking the grab and go snacks in front of the microwave. We were made to feel we were in his way as he completely ignored us, and didn't offer us plates, or any kind of assistance while we were discussing how we were gonna heat up our leftovers. Didn't even greet us. Unprofessional. Overall I'd say our stay was pretty good, and all stars Tammy and Amanda get all the credit. The rest of the staff, including the manager on duty maybe needs a lesson or two in hospitality! Not sure we'd stay there again, but it wouldn't be because of Amanda and Tammy, and if it's annoying that I keep mentioning these two individuals, it's because they deserve the recognition. read more

Not family friendly. Staff screamed at our kids the whole time. Don't offer to be part of a stay to play tournament if you don't want kids having fun. They were not rough housing, not breaking anything, just sitting around talking and told they had to go to their rooms. Also, you aren't allowed to bring in any of your own food and drink as a lady runs around all day telling you you have to eat it in your room. You can't eat it in the seating area, you can't eat it outside, or by the pool. The worst customer service we have ever experienced. read more

Great stay at this hotel, was just here this last weekend & everything was so clean even with all the construction going on. Tony was great at the bar, Saturday was super busy down there and he kept his cool the entire time. The downside was that Monday morning I called down to see if a late checkout was possible & was told the latest they could do was 11:30(30 minutes after check out) that seemed ridiculous. But regardless, rooms were quiet & never had an issue. Theres no kind of cleaning in the room hnless you call down and request it, so just keep that in mind if you like your room cleaned daily. read more

Nice, clean rooms. I wasn't able to find a sharps container in the public bathroom, the desk staff didn't know about one either so be careful here if you bring meds. That was unexpected. I stayed here at this property on a whim. First off, it is absolutely clear that they have done a deep renovation and the effort paid off!!! I had never visited the facility, I thought I would give it a whirl. What I found, this is a fantastic little jewel. The hotel proper is very clean the décor is upbeat modern and fresh and the staffers are nothing short of fantastic. I have been to plenty of hilton properties i have never seen staff being forced to remove bottle locks from each individual bottle then relatch them every shift. this says a lot about how much respect/ empathy the management has for its staff all around. read more

I stayed here in June 2022 with a group for work. I was greeted warmly by the front end staff and check in was smooth. They are known for their warm chocolate chip cookies, and you are also able to buy some to take home, or to enjoy as a night time snack. I liked the location and facilities at this property, it is close to the highway and business park, and minutes away from restaurants and services. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good, and temperature control despite the heatwave outside was fantastic. I rested well in the limited time I had to sleep and the blackout drapes were very well appreciated! Breakfast (hot and cold items, and items that could be taken for the road if needed, very thoughtful!) was served promptly at 6am and staff were friendly and helpful, and understanding when I had to charge to the room. I liked the snack and amenity bar for late night snacking. I also took in a morning swim during my stay, the pool had a lot of debris due to the trees next and around the pool, but the pool maintenance also showed up during my swim. I will definitely stay here again and have no issues in recommending to others. read more

2 days no turn down service. We asked for the trash to be picked up on the 1st of 2 days. The 2nd day, we left to get breakfast around 10 and specifically talked to the front desk rep about service. She said she would send someone right away. We return 3 hours later and still no service. I go downstairs to ask for service and she said she would send someone right away. I ask, now or in an hour per say? She said right now. We waited and no one for 30 minutes. Decided to hit the pool and gym to give them time. We'll see if they make it by the time we return. This week long stay started out well but just like when r/ships get comfy, the service turned to mediocrity. We're here for my son's football training and we will not be recommending this hotel to any other of our athlete families. read more

The pool area was great! It was never busy, loud or crowded. There is also an adult only pool area with a hot tub which was so nice. The service team was friendly and always present to serve drinks and brought ice water too. The only thing that I wish the hotel would improve is how noisy the lobby is. They hosted 2 separate conferences during my stay and the guests milling in the lobby bar just chattering was super loud. Loud enough that when we walked through we couldn't even hear each other speak. The acoustics are terrible and every voice carries. What is a hundred people sounds like a thousand people. Grabbed some lunch down the street (guess you'll have to check my profile for the details lol) and ended up at the bar in the lobby after a wedding rehearsal. Let me tell you about Nikol. Chandler's quickest on the sticks. Take a minute to google "drink masters" from Netflix. Google the showdown between Tao and Suzu and no idc about spoilers. She'd wipe the floor with them. I bought a Groupon to stay here, there was a mistake and I ended up having two reservations. I spoke to the manager when I was there, they informed me there was nothing they could do to reverse charges since it was prepaid. After I left I needed to get in touch with the manager for a email stating that only one of the reservations were used so I can get a refund from Groupon. I called multiple times and left messages nobody ever returned my call. Hilton is my preferred hotel when I travel, this is not the customer service I expect from this hotel. Since they got paid for two rooms they did not want to help me resolve my issue to get one of the rooms refunded. Overall the property is new and clean and my stay was nice minus the poor customer service. read more

As of Feb 2019 the place is is full renovate status. You enter through the side door and check in and go way down the hall to you room. The room itself is a fine refurbish, Very clean all new fixtures and everything works great. -------------------------------------------- As far as the overall the front is all blocked off and under construction, so we all will need reviews after the refurb. It should be excellent. Try it again later and please get later date reviews. All the earlier reviews are now about a place that is soon to be very different. read more

Have tried to get in contact them multiple times a day on 3 different days for the sales/event team to book a large event and get a block of rooms. Always get put on hold, ring once, and an automated messages saying "Please try again at a later time". Pretty ridiculous I can't even get anyone on the phone to book a room. MOLD!!! Came to the Phoenix area for a special event and noticed the outrageous hotel prices nearby (200-400 for basic hotels!). I found this hotel on Trivago and figured I would try it out. The photos showed clean vibrant rooms with everything you'd expect, but it was misleading!!! The staff was nice, but once we walked down the hallway to our room we noticed the cracks in the walls, chipped paint and a strange chemical scent. We thought it was due to cleaning. We took the elevator to our floor and the elevator sounded like it was grinding metal against metal. After the elevator got to our floor, the hallway still had a strange chemical smell. We enter our room and notice the ugly old carpet and upholstery. The sofa bed had some odd discoloration as if it were 30 years old. (probably is!) Next, we noticed the bathroom. It had a leaking bathtub with MOLD in the tub and on the shower curtain. The hotel was full so we couldn't get another room. Thankfully we were only in town overnight! The only thing that was nice where the TV's. Thats it. I will NEVER come here again!!! read more

What this review should really be talking about is how great their website photographer is. Based off of their pictures you would think that this would be a nice, clean, renovated hotel. But don't be fooled. Cleanliness was an issue. The wallpaper was tearing. The furniture was old and dirty. I could have looked past this if there wasn't hair in my bathtub when we checked in. Second day, they needed to repair a leak on our floor and turned the water off without warning. Would not have been a huge issue if I hadn't been in the middle of taking a shower. Poor WiFi. Only plus was a decent breakfast considering. The manager was responsive and accommodating when I asked for a free night. read more

Been staying here with my co-workers weekly for a few months now. Customer service is great. Lisa in the back office was very accommodating in setting us up with a corporate rate. Jeff at the front desk always hooks it up with water, toiletries I've forgotten to pack, and a replacement key for every time I lose mine. Remy is always helpful with the reservations process. Facilities are newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are bright and clean, bed is soft, covers warm, and air conditioning strong to battle the AZ heat. Housekeeping comes in to make the bed everyday. There's a nice gym and pool to use too. Hotel is never crowded and it's conveniently located just outside of Phoenix right off of the 10 fwy. read more

Last minute booking, did a Priceline deal for a 3 star (a doubletree or Hampton Inn is totally fine for me, generally) and I got this "hotel" instead I'm not quite sure how this qualifies as a 3 star, unless it's because they have BB&B toiletries, decent towels, and a decent bed...but if you're anything like me and prefer a comfortable, CLEAN, updated hotel - this is NOT the place for you! read more

I was skeptical booking this room because I'm used to staying at another property when I come out. This locations was one of few that still had rooms available due to a race weekend. Booked this room via third party. It used to be a Radisson and is going to be a doubletree in future according to front desk staff. The staff was nice but not super outgoing. Nobody mentioned breakfast in lobby, pool hours or anything else. Simply gave me a key and I was on my way. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have a clean room and unfriendly front desk than opposite. Room itself was decent. Clean. 4 towels for 4 guests which rarely happens at hotels. Beds were nice quality. White linens. WiFi was less than desirable- poor connection. Location is right by freeway. We didn't experience noise problems. Overall good hotel experience. If I can't stay at my normal place I would come here again. read more
