While on vacation, we decided to wait and watch the new release of Crime 101 at the brand-new Harkins Theatres - Goodyear in Goodyear. The reclining seats were so comfortable I actually fell asleep for the first 10 minutes -- and I never fall asleep during movies! Once I woke up, though, the film had me locked in. It was intense from start to finish and kept us on the edge of our seats the entire time. Of course, we couldn't leave without snacks. This is our go to theatre. Biggest screen in AZ is here as well. Nice, cozy and BIG recliners. We usually plan ahead and order tickets on the app- very easy and saves time. We came here on Thanksgiving evening after our family coming down the the stomach bug that was going around the valley... so we weren't prepared for a normal Thanksgiving meal etc... so we opted to dine out and attend a movie. It was actually sooo nice to relax and enjoy the holiday and not have to cook and clean all day. We saw the Moana 2 movie. Theatre was packed as well. Lines for concessions were long too. So if you plan to do that- arrive early. They had many cash register attendees, but they stay busy. This was the crappiest experience I ever had at Harkins in my 8 years of visiting the Goodyear location, I don't know if this is an ongoing situation or what. We went to the 5pm showing of Ballerina the surround sound system wasn't working in Theater 8, I brought it to the attention of female manager on duty and she literally said "Oh that's terrible" Um yes it is terrible, terrible that you didn't try to rectify the situation by making it right, or by even suggesting to have a sound tech check it out. Better policy, I missed the show due to me having to stay at work longer than expected and when I called instead of swapping the ticket to a later date I was unable to due to their policy. Got there a little early and so we attempted to go in and find our seats, got yelled at to "get out I am not finished cleaning". Yea sure okay...how dirty could it have been , especially since it was dead. While there, my son's friend couldn't find his wallet. So he called and nothing. We are weekly attendees during the kids summer movies and they never disappoint. Today we had someone throw my kids snacks in the trash when we went to the restroom. We suspect it was an overzealous employee but I digress. The fact is that when I took the issue to the concession stand they happily gave us replacement soda and candy for him. We brought in our own candy, a loss we were willing to take, but they still replaced it for us. I am so pleased with the incredible effort and consideration they handled the situation with that I will definitely be directing all of my moviegoing business to this exact location of Harkins. It's been a few years since hubby, and I have ventured out to see a movie, and Christmas day seemed like a perfect opportunity. We've been here years ago when it opened, and I'm glad to see much gas not changed. Ample parking, quick ticketing, nice employees. Large screen, clean theater. Clean bathrooms too! The only drawback was the concession stand. Long lines, but yes, it was Christmas. I think it was mostly hot dogs that slowed all the lines. I will start by saying the cleanliness of the theater was great and the friendliness of the young people who work there was outstanding. However, I have two issues that didn't sit well with me. The first problem is having to wait in a long line to get a popcorn refill. There really needs to be an expedited line for people who are strictly refilling popcorn so they don't miss their movie. My second issue is the lack of customer service from the manager on duty. He was clearly frustrated that the lines at the counter were in disarray. When I asked him if there was a way to refill my popcorn he said in a snippy voice,"No! You will wait in line if you want popcorn. ". Needless to say I didn't wait because I would have missed 15 minutes or more of the movie. I ended up getting my refill as I walked out of the theater. But the whole ordeal put a sour taste in my mouth. read more

I will keep this review short and sweet. Harkins is my favorite theater chain and Estrella Falls is my favorite location! Recently, I ventured to the other major chain because of a desirable show time. Boy was it a shocker. The place was absolutely filthy! The consession was out of ice and the bartender complained about how much he had to work, walked away from the bar ad left his customers standing there until they eventually left. Now Harkins... Always clean. There was one exception where our theater was in my opinion accidentally overlooked. I found the manager and informed him of the situation. He and about eight of his crew were in five minutes later and had the place spotless in another five. The consession has a good selection and always well stocked. The barenders have always been attentive and friendly, and it's not tip zone! Yes, all the comforts of home including the recliners! What else could one ask for! We don't venture off to the movie theatre often but a marvel movie warrants great sound. Haskins offered great reclining seats and was amazing clean. Don't be fooled by the reviews, we sure were. The line to get popcorn and drinks are always long. They do not have a line for refills nor did they have self service drink refills so there's always long lines before during and after to get refills. The cleanliness is not good, food and garbage were covering the floors behind the counter and then when we went to find our seats the theater we were in was never cleaned from last couple movies I'm guessing by the amount of garbage left on floor, cup holders and seats., Very disappointed and when I brought it to managements attention be didn't seem interested. It was so nice to see people "Back at the Movies" today, after Covid has practically closed down the industry. I enjoyed going to this movie theatre for a few reasons. First of all, the tickets were reasonably priced at $8.00 each ( I guess this was probably a matinee rate, but it still felt like a great price). The snack bar prices were also very good. The employees were all polite. There is also a bar inside the lobby area that we didn't utilize, but it's a great option. The restrooms were extremely clean, as well as the entire theatre. This is my first time here but it is my first time since Covid. It appears they are short staffed as the ticket box outside was closed and you had to buy from inside. The concession stand area was being deep cleaned, popcorn was fresh, and the condiment area was very clean as well as the restroom. Last weekend my mother, grandmother, and I went to see a movie. As we were trying to find our seats my grandmother tripped on one of the stairs and had a HORRIBLE and scary fall. The staff and manager were there in moments to lend a hand and make sure that everything was okay. They refilled and brought the drinks back to us that were spilled, gave her ice for her head/knee, and checked on us again right when the movie ended. I can't applaud and thank them all enough for their kindness and help. We were all very pleased with their customer service. The facility is clean and the chairs are extremely comfortable. Theaters are almost always too, Is the AC broken?! The last 3 times we've come, the concessions staff are rude, seem like their on drugs. A group of us went to see Wicked tonight. We were excited and had great seats in the middle of the theater. Unfortunately, the sound was less than optimal. It's as if they forgot to switch to surround sound after the previews. The sound only came from the front of the theater speakers. As much as we wanted to get up and say something, we did not want to miss any scenes. It really ruined it for me... after all, it is a musical. I guess I'll go to another theater to watch it as it was supposed to be viewed with sound overhead and behind us. read more

I currently rate this the same as I did 5 years ago. I do wanna add the reason why I prefer Harkins over AMC is the cost to value. The popcorn perks and loyalty cups are a great value alone, of course this is only if you go to the movies a couple times or more each month. However I notice the price for loyalty cup is slowly creeping up each year. Not only the cost of the cups it self but the cost of the refills as well. My other gripe is the Harkins mobile app. It suppose to be convenient to use. But in the past few months they have added ads each time you purchase tickets. Not one or two but multiple adds now adding additional step and making it less convenient. I understand the processing fee/convenient fee. But making us watch the ads and still charging the fee is ridiculous. Give us the option to skip ad or waive the fee if we choose to watch the ads. read more

We come to this movie theatre quite often but after this most recent visit we have to give compliments to Justin the manager we encountered. He kindly opened a movie theatre door for my boyfriend who was bringing all of our food in where my boyfriend seconds after dropped the fries sitting on top of the boxes of pizza he was carrying. We did not expect anything at all because we didn't think Justin saw and it was my boyfriend's fault but less than 5 minutes later Justin came into the theatre to let us know he had put in an order of fries for us and then brought them out. Never would we have expected such kindness but we are so appreciative and cannot get over how fantastic this employee is. Talk about going above and beyond and providing superior customer care. Went and saw John Wick 4, very nice theater With comfortable seating. The movie was WAY TOOOOO LOUD ! My ears were ringing for days.

I come to this theater often as it's the closest, and we genuinely do enjoy the theater here for the most part. It's clean, it's not too crowded and easy to buy tickets online. Seats inside are super spacious and comfortable, very clean. No complaints there and most of my favorable review is to this part. The part that brings my review down for them is because about 80% of the time, the concession stand is out of a lot of their popular items, and because the inefficiencies I've observed behind the stand that's frustrating. Most recently I observed the cashier walk back and forth hub and spoke to get one item at a time. Also one of the slushee machines was out of the wild cherry, and the cashier only looked at the one, came back and told us they were out, while the other machine on the other side was functioning fine. I think they need some work here and training, but with some fixes this place will be top notch and unstoppable. read more
