Not horrible but too Greecey (get it? greasy). I've eaten here twice. The first time I got the gyro. Not too bad. The meat was flavored nicely, but very heavy on the sauce. Also the pita tasted like oil. The fries were soggy and greasy too. Not a crispy one in the lot. Not good at all. The second time I got the falafel. Here I am reviewing another new 5 star restaurant by first time or from out of state reviewers. As Greek food lovers we've been waiting months for this place to open since it's minutes away from our house. It wasn't busy when we arrived, 2 tables with 2 people at each one. We ordered Saganaki as an appetizer and I ordered Chicken Souvlaki while my partner ordered the Chicken Gyro platter as our main course. The Saganaki (rather small for $9) came out by itself, when asked if it was served with pita the waitress said no but would get us some. I've never been served this without a side of pita. The cheese was very salty and lukewarm but better with the pita. Our meals came out on what appears to be larger appetizer plates. For $12.00 we both thought the portions were rather small. My Souvlaki had 3 chunks of chicken (a third to half chicken breast) and was raw inside. The waitress took it back and 10 minutes later bought me 2 lemon potato wedges since it was taking so long and my partner was almost done eating. We split one wedge and found it undercooked and bland. My partner had finished his meal by the time my plate finally arrived. Almost 2 hours later we both concluded the food was under seasoned, lukewarm and overpriced for portion size, and can't forget the potentially dangerous undercooked chicken they served me. I like the food here a lot. Their prasini salad is one of my favorite meals. For the most part everything is really flavorful. It is a little over priced for the amount of food you get and if you get meat added to the salad, it's always more dry than if you get the platter (which I don't understand). Also they have virtually no COVID safety restrictions and haven't through majority of the pandemic. The staff (including cooks) don't wear masks, which sketches me out. I ordered a beef pita with a side of Greek salad. I was shocked to see the cook who assembled the food was not wearing a mask nor gloves. I was told the Governor said it was optional. The Governor is not a health professional. Well, I think it's not optional if you are preparing food. When I got home , which is less than a mile away, the salad was warm. Well I was talked into trying this place by a coworker. The decor is nice. I am leaving review after 2nd visit there on July 27, 2020. The waitress was nice and expedited orders well. The cook greeted us upon arrival. We were the only ones there for about 10 minutes. After we placed our order the cook went to action. Kitchen is open so you can view. So I say to coworker "looks like he's preparing our gyros". Which are over priced at $12.99 with fries. After a few minutes 3rd party delivery drivers start coming in. I was wrong about getting our food quickly. Now there are 4 other tables with patrons. All which have placed there orders. 1 of those tables got there order before ours. So we waited about 15 minutes for our food. I didn't question why because I knew I wouldn't be coming back. Gyro meat was almost flavorless. Unlike another Greek restaurant in Pompano which I wanted to go. And gyro was small in comparison to other places. It was easily eaten mess free. Nothing fell out of it. Needless to say it was a disappointment as far as food goes. The fries were good. I will not be back. I will continue to support the $6.50 gyro lunch special that is good. read more

The kitchen is open to the dining room, so we saw the food prepared. Everything is clean, staff is friendly and efficient. Portions are generous. I had the Greek salad, called something else on the menu, (I forget now) topped with gyro meat. I asked for no onions, and they easily accommodated. My sister ordered the chicken pita wrap, with fries. Fries were seasoned well, and they cut a vent hole in the to go container so the fries stay crisp. I appreciate that extra detail. I ordered from Fetta Republic as it was available on Ubereats. I ordered quite a bit of food and the menu clearly stated that Fetta was more than happy to provide utensils if needed. Everything that I ordered needed utensils and I requested extra, I received zero. If a restaurant that offers food that you need utensils to eat with and they know you are staying in a hotel yet they do not provide anything but food, am I supposed to eat with my hands. A very simple request that a restaurant cannot fulfill?? I stay in Fort Lauderdale every month and I will never order from a restaurant that cannot follow very simple instructions. Pathetic. Update 10/5 The owner wrote a message to apologize for the screw up of which is much appreciated. I will keep my 1 star review and I will try Fetta Republic one more time during my next stay in Fort Lauderdale. If the issue happens again, the 1 star will stay and that will be it for me. I ordered from Feta Republic on uber eats, so my review is based on the food only. I ordered a "three dip" plate with eggplant, hummus and yogurt with dill; I also ordered a chicken kebab platter with rice and salad and a salmon dish with vegetables. The eggplant and the hummus dip were superb, the yogurt dip was ok, these dips were accompanied by warm pita bread. Both the chicken and the salmon had good flavor, however they were over cooked which made the meat hard. The rice and all the accompanying dishes including the salad were fresh and had good flavor. My friend told me about this place. She is a vegetarian but was craving a beef gyro. I came with her for support. There is plenty of parking outside and the place looks small but there is a lot of places to sit. We sat next to Dj equipment so I am guessing that there are nights where there is music playing. There is a lot of light when you walk in and that is a plus for me. There is one waitress for everyone but you would never notice because you're glass is always filled and your order is in front of you before you know it. My friend ordered the beef gyro and I ordered the chicken gyro. You have a choice of french fries or a Greek salad on the side. I can smell the delicious french fries all around us but we opted for the Greek side salad. It's cucumbers and tomatoes with feta on top. We also ordered the tiziki appetizer with warm pita. The tiziki was so thick and creamy, it was delicious. Thank goodness we had left over tiziki from the appetizer because our wrap did not come with enough. There was a glop in the front but nothing in the middle or end. You might want to order it with extra tiziki if you're like me. Hopefully there is no up charge. The meal was great and I can't wait to go back. We split the meal and app down the middle and it was $16.00 per person plus tip ofcourse, not bad! read more

I ordered my favorite dishes. Amazingly disappointing. The grilled octopus had no flavor at all, just oil. The Goyo platter had delicious fries but the lamb was hard ( over cooked) and charred. They closed 30 minutes early! My wife and I were very excited to see a new Greek restaurant in our neighborhood. We dropped by at 8:30 on a Sunday and saw on the door that they were open until 9:00. So we went in! But then the manager told us they had already put all the food away and he forgot to lock the door. He offered to make us a salad or dips. Seriously? It's not like we were getting there at 8:55. I've worked in many restaurants when I was young so I know that you have to clean up early if it's slow. But if a customer walks in, you get stuff back out and you cook! That's what restaurants do! It's crazy to think that they would turn away paying customers that show up 30 minutes before closing. There's a lot of competition out there and they should never pass up an opportunity to make a great first impression. read more

Have had mixed feelings about this small local restaurant for a while. Depending on the day you may run into the wife/owner which equals possibly the worst service you could get from a waitress. Her unfriendly attitude is unpleasant but her service is even worse. My elderly parents ordered food from them the other day on our recommendation. They were shocked to see that their cooks do not wear masks. I was too and stopped in to ask the owner why. I very nicely spoke to him privately. He rudely stated that masks are "bullshit" and he by law does not have to wear a mask nor do his cooks. Tonight I decided NEVER to eat food from there again.
