I am visiting from 5 hours away and ate here for the first time today (11/29/24). My friends spoke very highly of this establishment (both the food and staff) and I was eager to try it. I ordered a chicken gyro and asked if I could add cucumber. My server, Yana berated me in front of my friends and insisted I eat it as it came, insinuating that I should eat somewhere else. "You don't go out to a restaurant and try to change the menu." I felt very embarrassed. Ultimately, he added the cucumber but not before arguing with me for several minutes. My fiancé left and ate at Sicilian Oven across the street rather than watch the staff tear into me. I can not recommend this establishment, unfortunately. Perhaps Yana should consider an alternative career if he cannot serve guests. Very dissatisfied. read more

Decided to try this place for a late lunch and was craving a chicken gyro. It was mid afternoon so I wasn't concerned when I notice there were no customers. Ordered my gyro to take home. Didn't get the customary salad/rice sides but it still cost $18. Oh well, that's FL pricing. After a 5 min ride home, upon opening the container I noticed a big puddle of grease. But the gyro was wrapped in foil so I didn't think it would be that bad. The chicken was dry & overseasoned, and the tzatziki sauce was chalky. I took a second bite and decided it would be better to just toss it in the trash. Hours later I could still taste the seasonings. This is def not a re-do. read more

Just started working in the area and was walking to Publix and decided to stop in. I'm so glad I did. I just moved down here from NYC and this is one of the best places I've ordered from so far. I got the falafel pita with salad. I asked to swap the tzatziki with hummus. It was so good! The falafel was soft, thick, and warm A+ (also flavorful). The hummus was so good. It tasted and looked like it was made in house. Also, the wrap held together pretty nicely; I appreciated the packaging (both items were individually wrapped & placed in a styrofoam container). The falafel was so good that I have nothing else to say about it. Just "mmm" as I was experiencing the flavored layers . If you're vegan or trying to cut down on cheese I recommend the salad without feta. The salad was horiatiki, which is a traditionally chunky style of Greek salad. Would love more olives or capers next time, but it did not disappoint. Ultimately, this is going to be a great lunch spot for me at work. Good luck..!! ........................... The owner wants me to be more professional! Since you bring the word "PROFESSIONAL" up Let me say something then: 1. You are so professional! During COVID-19 you prepare the food without wearing facial mask. Opened food containers checking while talking to (I don't know) a go-worker or maybe go-owner or an employee . How safe? Please wear mask! 2. There was a table at the door blocking people to enter the restaurant and also to hand the food to whoever that come picking their order up. Whichever order was ready to pick up the owner will bring to that table. I were there for almost AN HOUR and a HALF SO I COULD SEE WHAT GOING ON in front of me. 3. The order that I was waiting for however the owner left it on the table inside the restaurant where he's usually using it for bagging food. I did see the bag around the time of 1 hour and 20 minutes of my time waiting but based on what I have seen for nearly 1:30 minutes I had to assume that the order wasn't mine or it wasn't ready. The owner shake his head very often. 4. I was sitting inside my car Until the other gentleman who was waiting for his order in front of the restaurant called me (At that moment its raining cats and dogs) immediately, I ran out to grab my order because my customer was waiting for her food too. Instead of thanking me for waiting, The owner said to me "the food was ready why you sat in the car? (go back and read number 2-3 why!) By the way I'm totally OKAY with the rain quite love it actually. 5. If you are so what is called "PROFESSIONAL" try not to make the face of a man who's going to have heart attack when a few people are waiting for food of your restaurant and the food weren't ready. Also, shaking your head over and over won't help the orders to finish faster. 6. You never know if Uber guys will become your customers or not. And we are helping you reach out customers as well. 7. Please let whoever that come pick up the order(s) at your restaurant know about how long do they have to wait don't just say it's not ready yet. So they will know what to do with their lives. 8. It's ok to write the name of the food on the containers so you know which bag to put them in. Open them again and again can cause contamination since you aren't wearing mask and talking none stop. The food here is okay -- not stellar -- but okay. The server was charming but that doesn't make up for the sparse surroundings. Not even any pita bread or an appetizer dip or anything. Tables are bare and remain that way. We had to ask for salt and pepper. We began with feta shrimp -- 4 shrimp topped with a sprinkle of feta and grape tomatoes cut in half. Tasty but not worth the price. For an entree we had their moussaka. This was the best item of the meal -- of what we had. A small square with all the usual layers (ground meat, potatoes, béchamel sauce etc.) but a hearty appetite would be hungry. For desert, we tried their galactoboureko. This was served lukewarm with a thin syrup. This is my husband's favorite greek desert and he orders it every Greek place we go. I took a bite and said "meh". Not worth the calories. With many other restaurants in the area, we probably won't be back for dinner. Thought the small portions and high prices in a undecorated setting just don't warrant a return. I visited a few times.The food is good, but not great. The atmosphere is fine, Servers friendly, & price fair. This is a solid restaurant, but for the right reason, as it works for a quick bite. I have gotten the Falafel Sandwich & like it. It isn't Kostas, but is worth a visit. I have not tried any of the full dinners, as they seem expensive. However, I have seen them & they look good. I will comment when I taste them. I am giving it 3/5 stars, but its hard to rate cause it depends on visit purpose. For a $9 Falafel Sandwich where you just care about a cheap good meal it is 4 stars, but wanting a great experience with service & fantastic food it is 3 stars. However, I have to go 3/5 as I can think of two other local Greek places within driving distance that are superior in almost every way. read more

Terrible experience!! I took a week to write this because I was so pissed off about my experience I wanted to chill before I wrote anything. At 4:00 PM I placed a Grub Hub order with Fetta Republic. The response was my 3 entree's ($50.00 for the food never mind the add ons) would be delivered at 5:45 -6:00. I ordered Octopus which, if you eat octopus, tastes really bad if it's served cold. At 6:30 I called to see what was going on with my order and I was told, rather curtly, that it was Mother's Day and I would get my order when they got to it. I need to make a serious point here. Given the state of the economy, and ESPECIALLY the state of the economy with restaurants I want to support my local businesses. I thought that given the size of the order, and the fact it included a dish that is not at all flavorful served cold, the person who answered the phone might have been a bit more collegial. But NO. When I called, again, at 7:00 I was rudely told that the just put my order, WITH 5 OTHERS, in a car with the only Grub Hub delivery person they had and it would be on its way. My home is about 20 minutes from Fetta Republic, if you go straight from one to the other, and now my dinner, which was supposed to be delivered at 5:45 would be the last on the list of 5 to be delivered at about 8:00PM. SO here's the deal. If you commit to deliver my meal at 5:45 and it won't make it until almost two hours later, and your attitude is that you're doing me a favor and that's reflected in the way you talk to a paying customer who's trying to keep you in business at a time when restaurants are dieting then guaranteed I'll A) never do business with you again and B) will roast your ass in every public forum the internet can find. Took my staff of 5 for lunch. Very disappointed in portions. $188 plus 37 dollar tip for 2 appetizers and 5 entrees. If the portions were bigger it would have been worth it. Example 1 scewer of beef about 3 ounces, souvlaki a liitle tomato cucumber salad and 10 fries for $15. It is a small cafe looking place that does not warrent that type of pricing. I haven't eaten at this place in a few years. And, after my review you'll see why I will never eat there again. First off, the food is WAY overpriced for what they give you. A chicken souvlaki platter is $23. That includes (1) skewer of cut up chicken, a small amount of salad on the same plate, and a choice or rice or potatoes. It comes with a small cup of tzatziki sauce and some cut up pita pieces. The chicken tasted okay bur seriously, $23? The regular Greek restaurant we go to offers (2) huge boneless breasts of chicken, a much larger plate of rice and a choice of sides for about $20 (much more chicken that offered at Feta Republic). The tomatoes in the salad were mealy too (probably not like that all the time but I couldn't eat them at all). The lamb Gyro was good. Very overstuffed with meat ($18) which is a bit higher than most places but had a lot more meat than most put in a Gyro. Tasted good. But, here's the part that really made me angry. When I got the bill, there is a fee plainly labeled "NON CASH ADJUSTMENT". First off, I didn't tell the waitress I wasn't paying cash. And, I wonder if they charge this to everyone cash or credit for that reason. Regardless, I think if they are going to charge a fee for using a credit card they should tell you this up front. It should be clearly labeled on the menu. If they would just raise the prices of the already overpriced food to include this fee instead of adding it as a separate fee on the check it wouldn't bother me as much. Florida is a state that doesn't allow surcharges for credit card use to be charged. There was some debate regarding this law a few years ago and I'm not sure if it's a grey area or still not legal in Florida. Regardless, I wouldn't recommend this place based on the overpriced food and the fact they charge a "non cash fee". The waitress was very nice and that's about the only good thing I can say about Feta Republic in Aventura, Florida. read more

What a great spot! Went last Saturday night for date night, and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the food, and a bit shocked it wasn't crazy busy. We got the spicy feta appetizer and horiatiki salad. For dinner, I had the lamb chops with potatoes, which were BANGIN, and my partner has the skirt steak with fries.
