Ehab's amazing energy actually took our attention away from the pizzeria next door as we were arranging for seating there, and we don't regret one second!! I had the lamb gyro plate, my hubby and daughter in law had the Tangine (one had seafood and one had lamb), and my son had a smash burger (the kill joy- lol!) we all had baklava with ice cream to finish. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was superb. If you are in the Pampano Beach area, please do yourself a favor and try this sweet gem of a restaurant. I promise you'll be pleased!

I have known the owner of this restaurant for almost 17 years and have always ranted and raved about his food. today's visit after many years did not disappoint. his middle Eastern cuisine is to die for made with love. the best pressed falafel sandwich I've ever eaten dipped in all the amazing sides. made me smile today

Amazing service, will be coming back here. Got a coconut with piña colada in it and it was fantastic.

Our breakfast was a wonderful experience. Ambiance seating outside was a treat. Really enjoyed our French toast and omelette. The experience was enhanced by our server who was a delight and set the tone for the day ahead. No doubt we will return

    Chocolate and pistachio crepe

This place is a tiny, super casual, mom-and-pop, Middle Eastern place in the beach block of Pompano Beach. Abd El Salam is a great chef who will adjust the menu to meet your expectations. He made a chocolate and pistachio crepe for me!

We were in Pompano and decided to grab some lunch by the beach. We parked in the lot behind and walked along the strip of restaurants. We hadn't been here before so we decided to try it. It's a small place with several tables inside and more on the outside sidewalk. As the doors were open, it was nice that they had blowing fans inside to stay cool. My husband ordered a tuna salad pita wrap. He said it wasn't middle eastern, but that the tuna itself was pretty good. There was lettuce inside the thin wrap. Some well done french fries came as a side. The fries were good, too. I got their hummus topped with meat. I'd asked for lamb assuming it would be pieces of meat, but it was well cooked gyro slices. I liked the creamy hummus, but some of the meat was way over cooked. Their pita is the very paper thin kind which is not my favorite. The server (who also was the tout standing outside to entice people to try the place) was funny -- dancing a bit like a belly dancer to entertain us. He is Egyptian. The chef/owner (?) is Jordanian-American. The menu has sandwiches to entrees. Depending on what you order, you can find a reasonably priced meal. I'm glad we came to try this place. Now we know.

Cute and very hospitable spot just steps away from the beach. The hosts are very attentive and the menu is pretty extensive with a lot of interesting Mediterranean options and some nice twists on traditional American plates. They serve all day breakfast and offer crepes for dessert. There's dedicated parking behind the restaurant so you don't have to fight beach goers for a spot - when you sit to eat, they'll validate your parking for 90 minutes which is more than enough time to enjoy your meal. I didn't even realize this place was back here but now that I know, I'll be coming back when I want a nice little brunch.

We also got the trout dip with pita bread but I didn't get a picture of that because we were all starving and then dessert was key lime pie and pistachio gelato. I did not expect the tacos to be so big. I also got this place mixed up with another place called the beach house so I was looking at the completely wrong menu! I took a pic for anyone looking and didn't feel like clicking 4x to get to it on their website. Back to the tacos -- the slaw was very juicy so don't forget to place your napkin! The mango salsa was not too sweet to overpower the rest of the taco and the beans and rice -- we were told was cooked in beef broth so it was very flavorful! It was way too much food to eat in one sitting (although I somehow managed to down 7/8 of that gelato it's a stomach mystery! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

A few small tables set against the wall and a few larger tables on the outside sidewalk. Doesn't look like much thought was placed on the design here. Service: Didn't wait at all for one of those small inside tables. My server was efficient and served my tea latte exactly as requested. Little things can often make the difference between a successful dining experience and not and here were a few of the small things that were provided that make a difference. I ordered the pancakes and my server suggested a side of scrambled eggs. The food: I received two pancakes which were well done, light and fluffy and the perfect size. I also received plenty of butter (so many places don't give you enough butter) an ample amount of steamed milk for my tea (another area that always seems to be pretty hard to get right). One thing that always drives me crazy was the fact that my scrambled eggs were served in the same dish as my pancakes. I hate this as the syrup inevitably gets to the eggs. Fortunately, I had a second small dish under my tea (which is also a great thing to get, to place my tea bag). I used this dish for my eggs. Another nice convenience was the mug for my tea which had a handle that I could actually put my fingers through (another area that restaurants fail to provide). In addition, I also ordered a side of sausage which came in patties form and was pretty tasty. The Bottom Line: As always my "customer so what" would I come back? The answer, probably. Although the ambiance was substandard, the food was good the service was as well so, it more than likely would be worth another visit on my next stop in town.
