They do have a nice variety of food options (found a couple goodies my little hunter will absolutely demolish), but the toy selection was kinda meh. Lots of catnip stuff... which is great if your cat is into that, but mine prefers to straight-up destroy anything already, can't imagine her on the nip just yet. I was hoping for more durable, non-catnip, "won't be shredded in 4 minutes" options. Found a couple things that might survive her wrath, with a few removal of smaller pieces, so we'll see. Overall, good spot, friendly enough, worth popping into if you're nearby, but not quite the specialty treasure trove I had in mind. I'll be back... just not, like, weekly.

The vet educated me about how her diet needed to be changed to foods low in phosphorus, high in protein & sent me home w/ the standard Renal Diet starter kit by Royal Canin. As a human who sees a Naturopathic Doc AND a regular Doc, I was curious what a local natural pet food store would suggest. I called and had the good fortune that Martha picked up the phone! When this woman heard about my cat's diagnosis, she launched into a mini tutorial about Feline Chronic Kidney Disease. She must've spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, obviously passionate and knowledgeable about animals. She told me she had created a "cheat sheet" of sorts that I could get a copy of: it lists all the brands of food from the lowest phosphorus content to the highest. Knowing more about this my cats illness eased my worries. Once I got to NB, I learned they carried, Daves & Weruva's, both good for Renal Diets. Then I learned that Martha is one of the owners and was so touched at how much time she spent with me on the phone. So kind! She's the real deal about caring about your pets/fur babies. NB gave me a copy of the Cheat Sheet that lists/compared most all the Feline Chronic Kidney Disease wet food. Thank y'all so much for the guidance! P.S. They have an abundance of fun toys, beds, water fountains, treats, etc. for cats & dogs!

I went in to my appointment at Petsmart Phoenix (Camelback Collinade) a few minutes ahead of my appointment time. The available girl at the counter offered to check me in for the service, but the woman who said she was doing the service insisted on checking me in. I had to wait a couple minutes until she finished grooming the dog on the table before she came over. She comes over the counter and asked how I would like her hair cut. I told her we like it short, and that was it. Instead of taking my dog, she starts trying to find any sort of matting or issue she can. She literally pat every square inch of my dog until she said "I cannot complete the service in time because her butt is too matted and the appointment is only 3 hours." I groom my dog every 3-4 months (mostly at petsmart since she was a puppy and she's almost 7),and I have never heard this. I asked if we could do the best we could, still bath and trim her body, etc (trying to come up with a solution since I took the day off for this and don't have a day off for 3 weeks). She said no. Every option I asked she said no. She then said "I called you yesterday to see if you would move the appointment to 2:30 but you didn't respond." I was at work. She made it seem like this was my fault when I made an appointment for 3 and came at 3. She was reluctant to grab a manager when I asked for a second opinion or clarification. When the manager came, I asked again if we could still trim her and if her butt is matted I can take her back in in about a month for a service for that. He agreed, but the groomer AGAIN tried to protest. In my opinion, it seemed like she was eager to get out of there and didn't want to stay to work. She instantly found a reason for me to reschedule when there was not one. She fought back when a manager agreed to bathe and trim my dog. Now I took an entire day off of work to make sure my dog was taken care of and they could not even trim her nails that are too long. I'm so angry and frustrated by my experience after being a loyal customer of 6 years. Not once has anyone denied her service or fully "inspected her" upon arrival. I take her 4+ times a year but after the way I was treated, I don't think I will shop petsmart or any of its services again (including Banfield for vet services). I attached photos of my apparently neglected golden retriever who cannot get a haircut. Aurora at Petsmart 1949 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ was the groomer. Sean the general manager is who I talked to.

That is until this past week when my wife and I adopted a dog. We stopped by My Pet Market yesterday to get a wash for our new member of the family while also looking around at other items and asking the employees for some advice. It was an all-around positive experience! My wife and I just adopted our dog on Thursday, and two days later, we were ready for our first outing with her to get her a bath at the iClean Dog Wash. We put on her harness for the occasion, which seemed a bit loose. We asked the team working for advice and received some helpful information that made a big difference. We then went to the bag left corner of the store and took advantage of a pet wash, which was $15 for about 15 minutes that included a regular wash, shampoo, conditioner, flea wash, low pressure dryer, high pressure dryer, and sanitization (of the wash area). We could stop and start at our convenience to ensure we have time to get a dog fully washed or dried. Towels, brushes, and aprons were provided to the washers. While our dog wasn't a fan of the process, we thought it was easy to use and ensure she got clean. After the wash, we looked around at the many products. We will certainly be back! My Pet Market is a family-owned, independent pet store that specializes in natural foods for all sorts of animals. They have a huge supply of treats, toys, and products. Their staff are prepared to provide information that we may need to keep our pets healthy and happy based on our pets' individual needs. They provide recommendations as needed. On the weekends, they even host local rescues to help animals find their forever homes. When we were there yesterday, they had an event to help some bunnies find homes. My Pet Market is open weekdays and Saturdays from 8 AM to 9 PM and Sundays from 9 AM to 7 PM. The May offer on the website (https://www.mypetmarket.com) including a $5 discount off any 5 pound bag or larger of Grandma Mae's pet food. They also have a loyalty program with other discounts and promotions. The promotions are also on the Astro Loyalty Consumer app. They also have a frequent buyer program where if you buy so many bags or items, you will earn a free bag or item. The website also highlights a pet of the month, Pet Market pets, a gallery, reviews, events, and much more. Thank you to My Pet Market for a great first experience out of the house for our new family member! We look forward to going back again soon.

Way Past Due for a Review, But…read more... I've been taking my fur babies, Marty & Luci, to Smelly Dog for 7 + years and I've always had a pleasant experience. They have always had outstanding communication in answering calls, returning vm's, texting when ready for pickup after a groom. I like that they seem to be able to fit in my fur babies, sometimes on short notice. I will highlight my most recent experience in taking our newest addition, Lulu, for her second groom. Lulu had one previous groom here when she was 5 months old and this would be her second groom at 6 months old. We were unsure how she would react in coming in for the groom, since I know she wasn't easy on her first go around. But, to our delight she was wagging her little nub of a tail and excited, and I relieved. We weren't able to achieve a little top knot sitch for her on her first groom because she couldn't sit still enough. This was something I really hoped we could achieve on this 2nd groom. So, when Ty greeted us we went over length, face shape and a top knot, please! Ty was very warm, patient and most importantly calm cuz our little Lulu can so fidgety and high energy! We felt we left her in the best hands, but due to her high energy and degree of difficulty sometimes with being still, still unsure of what to expect. When I received a ready for pickup text notification, we headed over to pick up our lil fur baby. When she was brought out and we laid eyes on her, I was beyond happy to see Ty's work of art! She looked absolutely precious, top knot and all! We couldn't have been more grateful to all the staff, and it's reassuring that Lulu, telling us with her little nub, feels the same
