Had dinner there for the first time with my daughter. The food was absolutely delicious. My daughter's family is from Italy so she grew up with authentic food and she is very picky. It's her favorite restaurant and she goes once a week so had to try it. The salads were real salads, not just lettuce thrown on a plate. I grew up down the street from here and never made it into this restaurant for some reason and I'm absolutely bummed about that because it's delicious... finally went in last week and had the trio- the table bread was great, the wine was decent, the service was awesome (despite being so busy), and the lasagne was probably my favorite of the 3. Staff were great and patient when dealing with our very large party. Food was horrible. I got the chicken Parmesan and the chicken was not good. Tastes like it was taken out of the freezer and like it had been reheated in the microwave, 5 minutes before serving. Someone else in my party got spaghetti with meat sauce and the meat looked gray. Wait staff was nice. Floors and tables were clean. Food was sub par and then some. Think Olive Garden in a mall cooked by teenagers but double the price. It was bad. They up charged me $6 to add vegetables to my $26 fettuccine. No appetizers or drinks and 2 plates of pasta that were nearly inedible for $65. The complementary soup was obviously from a tin. Last night was my first time eating at Ferraro's and I'm happy to report it won't be the last. We started with the fried calamari and then ordered eggplant parmigiana and sirloin fettuccine as our entrees. The calamari was good with a light breading so it wasn't heavy at all. You get a choice or homemade soup or salad with entrees. I chose the vegetarian minestrone soup and it was just as good as the stuff I grew up on (made by my Italian family). Eggplant parm is usually my go-to at Italian restaurants and I really enjoyed it here. My husband ordered the fettuccine, which is actually on special for $21 on Wednesdays, and thought it was very good. We had a lovely server who was very sweet and helpful. She was a joy each time she came to check on us. Unfortunately didn't get her name but I'd be happy to come back and see her again. read more

Food was subpar, awful tasting. My salad came to the table with the Italian dressing spilled all over the plate. The gelato was hard and freezer burned. Would have liked a 2nd cocktail but the waitress ghosted us and instead was wiping tables down with a bleach mixture which was gross while eating food. Definitely will not be back. read more

I drive past this restaurant all the time and thought we would give it a try. First thing for me was the smell. I like to walk in and smell the welcoming of the foods. It was not so here, it smelled old and stale to me. But I wanted to give it a chance. Old buildings can be that way and I did feel it had a lot of history in the building. We were seated right away. Only a few patrons eating at the time, it was 5:30. Our server took our drink order right away. I had my usual, a Bloody Mary. It came with mostly all ice. So that disappeared quickly. I had the cannenoli with half red and half white sauce and a houssalad. The salad was pre bagged mix and dressing was scarce. Very skimpy. The bread served with the meal was hard and stale. The entree was okay. Nothing special and the sauce was very salty. Portion was fine. I ate about half of it. The server brought us the wrong meal at first. It was suppose to be the other patrons and she picked it back up and took it to them after it was sitting in front of us. I don't think I would have liked that if it was the other way around. She was a bit lacking in energy and acted like she really didn't like her job. Friendly enough but not really happy. Topped our meal off with a cup of spumoni that was so hard and frost covered. Priced a bit high for basic Italian food. Don't think we will be returning. There are too many good eateries yet to explore. read more

WOW! The second we walked into the restaurant I was welcomed by the smell, it was the epitome of Italian food. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and nice. After ordering our food came out almost immediately. Love that. The marinara and the alfredo sauces alone were delectable. We were so surprised by the prices, The quality of the food is worth so much more than what they charge. We were happy that we (my boyfriend and I) didn't have to spend more than a hundred dollars for such amazing service, food, and everything. Don't forget dessert either! We had reservations since it was Saturday night. We were greeted and seated right away and our server brought menus and water. My husband and our friend ordered a draft Pieroni Pilsner, I ordered Lambrusco. They were out of the Lambrusco so I just had water. I ordered the lasagna and for $1 added a Caesar salad. My husband ordered the Twins #2 Spaghetti which had 1/2 "meat" sauce and 1/2 "browned butter" with mizythra cheese and the minestrone soup. Our friends ordered Chicken Alfredo with a dinner salad and an Italian Chef's Salad. Lasagna - good size portion and I could taste the ricotta. The sauce was pretty good. The Caesar salad was so small it was ridiculous. Spaghetti Combo - the red sauce half tasted like the "meat sauce" was marinara with a crumbled meatball. The mizythra on the other half was generous, however the butter was just melted, not browned. The minestrone did have pastina but was otherwise pretty bland. Chicken Alfredo - boring and it was almost tasteless. Italian Chef's Salad - good and probably what we all should have ordered. Several slices of a baguette were served with a small amount of olive oil for dipping. Spumoni ice cream comes with all dinners and it was super good. I really wanted to like this restaurant but there's much better Italian food in Spokane. read more

I ordered for the first time today. I was worried about how much food I would get for the price I was paying. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a sort of Sampler of pesro pasta, lasagna, and ravioli. It came with a small side salad and bread with garlic butter. They did not skimp on the meat in the lasagna. Real deal Italian Meal. Our first time visit was excellent tonight. We had chicken parmigiana and seafood fehttuchini Alfredo. Meals come with side salad, bread, oil/balsamic and herb butter and ice cream. Our meals were hot and delicious. All portions were great size. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated; our tasty beverages came right out. The dinners came with salad and bread, they were tasty but standard. Mary had the Twins, browned butter and mizithra cheese, along with meat sauce, on spaghetti, tasty. I had the Veal Piccata; veal cutlets sauteed with lemon, white wine, garlic, butter and capers, served with angel hair pasta and creamy alfredo, tasty. I often drive past Ferraro's when I'm out and about, finally had decided to stop in and try it out. I had ordered the sampler appetizer plate and the seafood fettuccine. The mozzarella sticks definitely steals the show, very delicious and the breading was light and perfectly crispy. The seafood fettuccine had a stingy amount of shrimp and clams and the sauce was broken-- tasted a bit dull, soggy and greasy. The price of this entree (~$27-$30) was very disappointing due to the quality. Though our server was very attentive, friendly and kept checking up on us. read more

Ferraro's was always a place we wanted to try since we go by the Reaturant every single time we head to Spokane. To our disappointment it wasn't a pleasurable experience. As soon as you enter the Reaturant has a very old smell to it a similar smell when you step into a. Thrift store very musty. The service was great in which I gave it another star rather than a one. The server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Now the crème of the crop how really was the food? To be absolutely honest, I ended up getting the chicken Parmesan ... though I was recommended that it was the best in the menu it fears me for the other items that they have. The chicken itself felt like it was frozen and pulled out of a Costco chicken bag deep fried. They have authentic sauces that actually taste like they came directly from the old country. It's a small place one waitress. Chairs are comfy ! We ordered sampler and clams and it was out of this world delicious. My son got chicken Alfredo fettuccini and all of his food. My husband and I ordered Veal. I got the Veal Marsala by far the best I've ever had. My husband has veal piccata which also out of this world. I tend to limit myself to two Restaurant Week experiences a year, and last week's sojourn was a stark disappointment, so I needed some RW sanity to give me cause to hope for the best at next year's event. Our meal was excellent in all phases....timing between courses, traditional choices, good portions for the prix fixe price, and caring service from the owner, himself. Everything presented was shared between the three of us, and there were plenty of, 'oh wow' stares and comments from all of us. Star of the show was their marinara, and that is a pretty darned important component because it plays such a huge part in the cuisine. Great tomato flavor, seasoned just right, and not overly sweet. The food took twice as long as quoted (I received two "5 more minutes" which were each actually 15 more minutes, was on the higher end for price, and the food was packaged so poorly. All of the sauce of one of my dishes was coating the bag by the time it got to the car. My 5 minute drive did not make things better. Disappointed 100% 3 stars because in the past they've done mildly better. Not sure we have a great future together. read more

Ferraro's is an amazing locally owned business here in Spokane. They opened in the Valley first then added a location to the North Side. I love love love Spaghetti. When I make it at home, I make sure to have an Italian playlist on while I create the magic. My spaghetti is my favorite and I don't typically order it because I enjoy making it, fresh, in a slow cooker, all day. However, I had never been to Ferraro's and was hungry around lunch time and stopped in. They were quiet, but you could hear that Italiano music playing and it was awesome. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and mushrooms and a side salad. The bread came out, and I haven't been eating bread but when I found out it was their own recipe outsourced to local bakeries, I had to try it. And it was so good with the oil balsamic touch. UGH. Then the side salad came and I love when the side salads actually come with toppings. Mushrooms, tomato, onion and a delicious Italian dressing. The owner, Jason came over to our table and introduced himself and that was so nice of him, very memorable. Now for the spaghetti - so so tasty. Fresh made meat sauce with really moist meat and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The pasta dish was a HUGE portion and I loved it. This was my favorite Italian place until my credit card was charged an extra $20.00. I called them told them what happened and she said the manager would call me back. I waited for two days no response so I went to the restaurant showed my alert from the bank all she said was well accidents happen she did refund the $20.00 and that was it a very cold response. The food was all delicious. We had a big group come and have dinner. 15 people ordered meals and everyone was satisfied, though it was a long wait to get our food. The wait staff were nice but service was very poor. I had to beg for refills of water and more bread and something else that someone was lacking. They also took a very long time even coming to the table to take our orders. But, you can't find fault with the food for sure, everyone enjoyed sitting down to a good meal together. I just wish they had had Italian music playing in the background to set the mood instead of American rock 'n' roll. read more

This is a hard No. The food was expensive and I was looking for good quality Italian food. I was deeply disappointed. The dishes were watery, and i believe they were heated up in a microwave. There is no way a fettuccine is that hot off of a steamer table or even fresh made. Poor quality. The bread served was super dry as if it had been sitting out most of the day. I would have made crutons out of it, not served as part of the dinner. I spent a lot of money on very poor food. Never again. read more

I'm amazed this place is rated so high. The food was so gross. Our pasta was bland and over salted and the bread tasted like it was a few days old and serviced with herb-margarine. It's also INCREDIBLY expensive for what you get. An app, 2 plates of pasta & two Italian soda... $87. The portions were also small for a $27 plate of pasta. My brother got the seafood fettuccine and literally got 4 shrimp and 2 clams... again for like $30. If you want good pasta go to Tavolota downtown. Service was excellent no complaints there and the ambiance was good too. It's the food that sucks. read more

I used to go to the Steer Inn on market street when the Ferraro family acquired it and get the meatball sandwich every single time. They were delicious. When they closed I started going to the location on North Division street but the only thing I've ever eaten at this location is the meatball sandwich, I love it and I'm always so happy that they let me order it off the lunch menu during dinner time. read more
