Found Fergie's when my wife searched for brunch places in Squamish on our way back from Whistler. What a lucky find. Nestled in by the Cheakamus and Cheekeye River is an amazing place to have brunch. Only open from 9am to 3pm and very popular so expect a wait to get a table. As with many places they are short staff right now. You can get a table inside and outside and there's great places to wait in the open. Can even walk to the river and watch the rafters launch. Once seated the service is excellent and there are no staff shortages in the kitchen because we had our order in what seemed like no time. I had their New Dubliner eggs Benedict. It has truffle holandaise so if you like truffles this is the one to have. Best eggs benny I've ever had. My wife had the Elaho and that was excellent as well. I've never had eggs Benedict like this, potatoes, bacon, onion, English muffins that were so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut them. The waitress accidentally forgot my coffee, and she was extremely sorry about it and gave us our coffee drinks for free which she did not have to do, I understand how busy people are, and she was also super friendly. Holy mama! Amazing breakfast from a guy that does not even like eggs benedict. I do not give out 5 easily. The whole experience works here,.. you drive out to the middle of nowhere (not for hikers though) and there is a little house full of super genuine and friendly people working to create the most amazing baked goods and breakfasts ever. Yolks has nothing on these people, in fact I'm pretty sure they moved out here to keep the crowd size down (I hear the other option was the woodfibre mill!). We had never been here before, and there was no signage and no visible staff present, so we sat down at a table and tried to figure out where to place an order. We finally went upstairs, where we found a host stand. The woman there informed us that they close at 3pm (in half an hour - really? On a sunny afternoon when the place is packed?). Ordered the Veggie Bowl (14$) with a side salad (4$) and an iced americano. The portion was a little small for me, since it was a little expensive and 14$ is the cheapest there was on the menu. Also, they don't have wifi, but this isn't too much of a problem. Overall very tasty and good! The menu is impressive and prices were reasonable and very tasty food. We were comforted by their covid protocols. They made another one quickly, and it came out with what looked like a pubic hair on top. I took it back and just told them not to worry about making another one. We were both absolutely disgusted. My meal was also cold, but I was hungry and just ate it anyways. I had the Dubliner Eggs Benny. If it was warm, it would've been amazing. We made our way to our vehicle , when a nice staff member ran out to catch us before we left. She offered our money back and was extremely apologetic. She was genuine. I'm sure this place is really good, but it seems we fell victim of someone having a bad day. Neither of us are super picky, but this experience was off-putting to say the least. Came to Fergie's Cafe around 11:30 AM on a weekday. There weren't a lot of people, maybe it was because of the rain. The Cafe was cozy with the couch and mini fireplace in the back. The interior was nicely decorated and clean. We ordered a latte ($3.75), London fog (with vanilla, the other choice was lavender), dubliner benny ($16), and smoked salmon benny ($16, with add-on toast for $1.50, they only used multigrain). I thought it was nice of them to ask if you were okay with medium poached eggs because a lot of servers at other places don't ask if you don't tell them. Food came relatively fast and our Benny's looked so amazing. They were truly pleasing to the eyes. The hash was not what I expected at all. Instead of the regular hash you usually get elsewhere, there was a curry flavour to them. They were so addicting and I wished they gave me more. The amount of curry in the hash was just right such that it didn't leave a greasy residue on the plate. I loved my smoked salmon benny (with medium poached eggs). The buttermilk biscuits were soft and fluffy. They were even better when they absorbed all the egg yolk and the hollandaise. Depending on how you like your poached eggs, their medium was more on the runny side. They were generous with the amount of smoked salmon, l had about three pieces in each of them. I thought they were smoked perfectly, they weren't so overdone that they were flakey or tough, they still had the chewiness of the fish (now it does depend on whether or not you actually like the texture of chewy fish, so this is subjective, but I loved it). Also, they weren't smoked to the extent to which they overpowered the other flavours but you could taste the "smokiness" of it. It was delicious! They definitely didn't skimp out on the quality. Overall, Fergie's Cafe is perfect for a nice brunch if you are around the area or willing to make the trip (depending on where you are located). The environment is just beautiful, it makes you feel like you are in a cabin at a campsite. Portion is big so you will be full for the next 6 hours (at least I was, haha). Staff are friendly and laidback. I really enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere they provided. read more

During covid hubby and I didn't feel ready to dine in anywhere . Fergie's provided a safe haven for my fears while providing an amazing delicious delectable brunch ! All tables were well spaced out and servers were practicing social distancing . I would highly recommend the Dubliner Benny ! The slaw that came with it was delish! Can't believe I never wrote about this place! We stayed a few days at the adjoined cabins and ate breakfast and lunch here both days. This was right at the start of a near biblical deluge in the fall so place was empty and the rain was mighty, plentiful and never ending. We were pleasantly surprised when we staggered over from cabin to restaurant for breakfast, sat out on the covered porch and had one of the best breakfasts ever. Food is stunning fresh and local. Big orange yolk eggs, smoked pork, potatoes. We've been back now a few times when passing through squammish, each time its been more crowded and more of a scene. Big lawn now covered in picnic tables, lines for food. The food is still good but the crowds impact the intimacy. Fergies is handling success well and I'll continue to visit, but maybe try to avoid rush hour on a sunny afternoon. read more

Stopped by for an early breakfast in late December. Seating is outside with fleece blankets on the back of the chairs. It's charming but dress warmly. They have heaters hanging from the ceiling outside but they aren't very strong. Had the smoked salmon benny on a biscuit and it was tasty. read more

All the way love this place. Good to see a local business shine and supported by the community. Get there early or snack before you come. The wait can be crazy. Lots of dogs there too which is also a bit of a pain. Great food, no expresso machine yet but it's coming. Lots of home made backed goodies, lots of love in the food and the whole Atmosphere. I am not a breakfast person, not on the weekdays and especially not on the weekends. So I wasn't too pleased when my partner in crime asked to visit Fergies for breakfast. I woke up early, drove down a long winding deserted road and turned into a camping ground, literally. In the middle of the ground was a little house and that was Fergies. They had limited tables inside the little tiny house and lots of picnic tables under the trees on the grass in front of the little house. While I wanted to curl up in a corner booth and sulk, my partner in crime insisted we have our breakfast on a picnic table outside. I was not amused. At All. After swiping a few bugs off the picnic table and seat, I grumpily sat and waited for the benedict I ordered. I waited and waited and failed to appreciate the light wind whistling through the trees that were providing slight shade but yet allowing beams of sunlight to shine through randomly. I pouted and I huffed and I interacted with a few choice insects on the table in this wee hour of the morning until my food arrived..... ...then my world changed. The Dubliner Benny was one of the best I've had in my life. Instead of a typical English muffin, they used a scone like bread, made fresh in house, as a base to two slices of thin green apples, a thick slice of ham and two poached eggs begging to be broken and yolked. Every piece of food served a purpose and worked together to sing a symphony of flavours in my mouth - from the sweet apple slices with a tinge of sour note to the soft and flaky scone to the orange-yellow lava of broken egg yolks slowly dripping down and coating my benedicts. As I ate, I noticed birds chirping, the green grass getting greener...it was like nature was the wine accompanying this benedict. I am not a breakfast person nor am I a morning person, but for Fergie's, I'll gladly make an exception! read more

We stayed at Sunwolf and had BBQ dinner after rafting. Fergie's made the fixings, yum. We also had breakfast at Fergie's and could have invited a few of our friends because we had so much great food. We only arrived an hour after they opened but had missed out on the smoked pork. Not a crisis but I was thinking those mountain bikers must have scooped me! Still, all was wonderful and we had our breakfast outside with the sound of the river in the background. Very casual, nice and relaxed and I overheard they can be really busy on the weekend. My brunch partner did not like the kale caesar she had as the kale pieces were a bit big to handle and there wasn't much dressing. Pulled port wasn't noteworthy. All in all its the best you'll find near Squamish sooooooo...3 stars. Why 3 stars? Price is tad high for what you get and the food is good.. but only certain menu items. I mean eggs benny better be good considering its 1500 calories give or take.... doing good food which is more on the healthy side takes more talent IMHO... and to me this is where they're lacking. This was a hidden gem! As we drove down from Whistler, down this quiet wooded road on Squamish Firs Nations Reserve, to find Fergie's Cafe next to river. There is parking along the river and we took some great pics. As we ordered our breakfast, we sat outside and took in the outdoors and fresh air. The Coffee was just excellent. I am a real coffee snob! The food is worth the wait. My husband and I both order Dubliner Benny. Was best breakfast we've had on our 4 week trip. They ask how you want your poached eggs. On top of thinly sliced apples on top of open bisquit. As we sat, chatted with other patrons and just took in the beautiful scenary and great food. However the upside is that what this place lacks in street appeal it more than makes up for in food, both quality and serving size.
