I went here as a tourist in search for a Nanaimo bar. Got here for breakfast, had some tea, and my sweet treat. The people behind the counter were very nice. They forgot to make my sandwich, and after waiting for about 15 minutes I asked about it. They were very apologetic, made the sandwich quickly, and added in a free cookie. We all make mistakes sometimes, but when an establishment tries to make up for it, it is very nice. The sandwich was good, but the Nanaimo bar tasted like the same one I bought from Whole Foods. It's a very nice place to sit and chat quietly with great views, big windows, and a chill vibe. read more

Cute coffee-esq shop in the Squamish visitors Centre I believe it was? They had a nice line up of coffees, teas, some premade sandwiches and ice cream for later on in the day. I got their maple iced latte which was awesome. It was made by a lovely barista who clearly loved his job and was a professional coffee maker. My friends got an egg sandwich with provolone on it I want to say, on sourdough. They loved their sandwiches. They also had healthy muffins available as well as energy balls (made with oats, honey, flax seeds, etc.). This was a nice spot to map out your plan for the day to explore the awesome area of Squamish. read more

My friends and I popped in here really quick as we were leaving Squamish en route to Vancouver. It was the perfect spot to get a breakfast sandwich, coffee and enjoy the beautiful view! Parking is easy, as it's located inside an info center. I could see waits being a little long if it's crowded, but otherwise it's a lovely place to relax for a bit. read more

Great little shop in the visitors center. Yummy panini sandwiches! They are premade so cannot be customized, but grilled when ordered. Great place to stop off & get oriented to the area. The visitors center folks are really helpful. They provided us with a map & lots of suggestions! read more

Looking for an alternative coffee stop en route to Whistler? Bypass the fast food chains and head to the Squamish Visitors Centre. Inside the visitors centre is a slick new coffee shop serving Moja beans and an assortment of baked goods and panini sandwiches. The seating area is bright with natural light and a panoramic view of the Stawamus Chief. The parking is easy, and the facility has impeccably maintained washrooms. read more

Great place to stop on your way to Whistler. I was completely surprised that this little Gem was here. I ordered a maple latte with almond milk and wow it was really great and warmed me up. The drink was not too sweet, was perfect. They also had a few different gluten free baked goods and that was shocking to me but I was so happy! I tried the date bar and it was very sweet but it well with my latte. They also had a bathroom here and a cute little gift shop. Lots of tourist info here too. Would highly recommend to stop here for a bathroom break on your drive up to Whistler. read more

Located inside of the Local Information Center. They offer a selection of coffee, teas, and hot cocoa. There are several tamales to relax or meet with friends. If you are hungry they have muffins, pastry, and panini sandwiches. What did I learn today? A nice pick me up on a colder day. read more

Caffe Garibaldi was a complete surprise. It's located in the building of the Squamish Tourist Info Center ("Centre" if you are Canadian). We stopped for tourist info, stayed for coffee. The coffee was terrific (best cortado I've had in weeks), the server was helpful and very earnest like in an indie coffee shop, the wifi was as strong as the coffee, and venue is modern, clean and welcoming. It turns out they make panini. I wish we had eaten lunch here. While it is separate from Garibaldi's, Christine, the tourist info expert, was super helpful. read more

Great place to stop to grab some coffee and a treat, or to run to the restroom on your way to Whistler. There's a visitor center as well as a gift shop. The garibaldi cafe offer delicious Nanaimo bars. I ordered the coconut Nanaimo bar which tasted like an almond joy bar but better. Delicious. I paired it with a maple latte ( I just had to, you know being here visiting from the states). It was good but not something I would order again. Strong flavor. The ladies behind the counter were super nice and friendly. The gifts shop had several Squamish themed gifts. Pricey but really unique. My only bummer was that I bought a couple postcards but they offered no stamps to sell :/ and I wanted them to be postmarked in the area. Oh well. Clean place to stop and rest. read more

4 stars for the cafe itself - good execution on standard cafe stuff +1 for the location. What really sets it apart is the view and location. This is within Squamish's Info Center, a gorgeous building on the right side of 99 after you pass the first Squamish-proper light heading towards Whistler. The center is open 7 days a week and closes at 5 pm. The building is airy, made out of wood and glass and has a really nice view of the Chief. Lots of chairs, some quite comfy and a little outdoors patio. Free wifi in the building. Knowledgeable staff to answer area questions. Lots of folk seem to take their laptops to work/surf there. Good place to take a break on a ride up to Whistler if you haven't stopped @ Galileo in Britannia Beach. Very easy access from 99 - take a right at the light itself, or the very next right about 100 m further. About 5-6 years ago, we had a grand old time watching a gander "attacking" my 6 yr old through the plate glass window. Took a while to clue in about the goose nest in the pond front of the center - nowhere close enough to really blame my son for stressing him out. This location used to be run by Galileo. read more
