Of course we had to stop by our favorite cafe and donut shop, Fox & Oak. Love how they have a good variety of vegan and regular options for the donuts (they have gluten free too). I am not vegan but I can't digest milk protein well so I am always looking for dairy-free and vegan options. We got a vegan cinnamon sugar donut, regular passion fruit donut, and vegan apple fritter with raspberry icing to go. While at Whistler, we broke out all three and shared them before having lunch at Hunter Gather. All the donuts were delish!! We were all impressed by how fresh and soft they all were. Also, I didn't think I'd like the apple fritter with raspberry icing that much but I ended up liking it the most! On our way back from Whistler to Vancouver, we couldn't help it--we stopped and got two more donuts! Yep, it was a double donut day. I am not ashamed to admit it. Prices and coffee were good and it was a nice surprise find. Signage is not easy to spot to know they are even there, unless you are literally driving by the hotel, but will definitely drop in again!

Originally I only wanted a donut but decided on something warm and ordered a bowl of chili instead. While the hubby isn't fond of their coffee (LoL! sorry) he does enjoy their chili. It was pretty good, rich and flavorful with a blend of ground beef, kidney beans, tomatoes, mushroom, green peppers, onion and celery. It came with a full size artisan bread bun (and butter).
