I was immediately drawn to this place seeing the entrance with dried plants as an archway. The whole space is bright and makes your soul happy. Lots of great smells and plants decorate this place. They carry various items like plants, plant care, facial items and bath products, pottery, net grocery bags, aroma related items, and more... I ended up walking out with their Squamish Solstice buttercream lotion and a Matcha Milk bath ball. Their Squamish Solstice buttercream lotion is very popular; I took the last one! Stop by here. This is a great location with unique items. Parking is terrible! The small lot always fills up quickly, so we end up parking on the street or around the corner at a nearby shopping center's lot.

Such friendly and helpful staff. At one point they even paged the expert in aquatic plants and fish Jerry, who provided a lot of expertise in a short period of time. Garden Works is central to many areas of the lower mainland of Vancouver​ and is just off Lougheed Highway in the middle of Burnaby. I suspect whatever your passion is as a garden they will have the plants or equipment you will need.

I bought another small indoor plant (forgot name) but it's an easy care kind. The plant does better when abandoned than taken care of, which was perfect for my bathroom. My sister wanted to get a few Venus Flytrap but they didn't have any so she put her name down for wait list. She ordered two! They've got red and green available soon. Plants are healthy. I enjoyed my visit here. I'll come again in the future!

This place also has plants that you would not see elsewhere such as a Mountain Turtle plant or a pink guava tree. They have a great selection of cactuses as well as roses. Everything is organized and labelled. They also have "master' gardeners where you can ask questions to. This place is huge so it takes time to get around. Parking is free, but limited. There is free side street parking. The only downside is that the plants are on the pricier end. Saying this, they carry selections that you don't see anywhere else. Plus, they have a small discounted area for plants that need "extra care and love."

A few people had laptops and books out and appeared quite settled in at the few tables inside. There was plenty of additional seating in the outdoor patio though, so we were able to quickly grab two seats. Service was super friendly. FOOD // We got a 12oz latte and a maple walnut donut to share. The donut was delicious - so fluffy! - and the latte was also made well, balanced and a good accompaniment to the donut. This visit was the absolute charm. I found my new favourite donut here - the Maple Walnut. So amazing. This cafe puts Squamish on the map. At times the lineup is long but steadily moving. It's very busy here so don't expect too much peace & quiet one might find at other coffee shops. The surrounding location is a great place to wonder around & take a nice walk. The views of the world famous Stawamus Chief Mountain from outside this cafe are stunning. Shannon Falls is less than 10 minutes away. Service here is laid back & small town chill.
