That middle road, everytime I am rolling through either going to Whistler, or coming back from it, and if they are open I will come into this bakery. Right next to Backcountry I have bought many treats from here (as you can see this is a bakery) and the place is great. Whether you need a light snack, like a healthy cookie, or something a bit bigger, like a sandwich, this place has you covered. One of my favorites is the pretzel they make, it is so good, and I just want to rip it apart every time I have it and I am driving away, I think... maybe I should have gotten an extra one. They serve coffee here as well, and sell loaf's of bread. The staff is great here as well, no seating inside, this is a place where you will occasionally line up, but it moves along fast, and it is so worth your while when you are here in Squamish. read more

So far, we've had: croissant - excellent! lemon poppyseed scone - yum! seasonal danish - strawberry - one of my faves! seeded twist - love this one! lemon tart - mmmmm v good! oatmeal chocolate cookie - good! ginger molasses cookie - great! I love ginger! peanut butter chocolate chip cookie - yummy! chocolate white chocolate pistachio cookie - good! spicy chicken ranch baguette sandwich - not too spicy! One of my favorites! beet and goat cheese sandwich - very good! ginger molasses ice cream sandwich - yum! Very good! sesame sourdough loaf - excellent! We loved it all, but my favorites are the seeded twist, seasonal danish and spicy chicken ranch sandwich on baguette. MUST TRY BAKERY IN SQUAMISH. This bakery is where most of the locals go to when wanting some fresh delicious baked goods and I gotta admit, it's pretty good. Tucked away is this bakery which despite it being somewhat hidden, they have crazy lineups! They also sell out quickly and are opened until they are sold out. * 4X ham and Gruyere croissant ($3.75/each) ~ this was ultra flakey! Super buttery and ultra rich! The gruyere cheese was such a smart choice because it really adds a nice rich cheese flavour to the croissant and the ham was so good! There was so many layers in this it was crazy! * 2X seed twist ($3.75) ~ this was super unique it's a twisted croissant / cracker. It's buttery and nutty which adds a nice flavour to it. I can totally see myself eating this daily. It's a savoury one for sure! Also super flakey. * Butter croissant ($3) ~ classic super buttery and flakey! Can't go wrong with this here. * Lemon tart ($5) ~ this was huge and let me just say hella tart! Lemon lovers this may be for you if you like that lemon tart taste because it will get your tastebuds squirming. * Plain Au chocolat ($3.75) ~ classic chocolate croissant. With good amount of chocolate in it! * Cinnamon bun ($4) ~ I liked this! Imagine a cinnamon tart like with the centre being the flavour spot. I wish it was more soft. * Oatmeal cookie ($1.50) ~ crispy cookie! I prefer my cookies soft and chewy but this had a combo of both. More on the crispy side. Good sweetness. * 8/10 ~ it's pretty good I like their croissant. The lemon tart I wish it was more sweet than tart, and I wish the cinnamon bun was more of a bun that's softer. * 7/10 ~ pretty good bakery price that's average. It can get pricey as you keep ordering but overall not bad. I had been looking forwarding to visiting Tall Tree Bakery since reading about it months ago in my Vancouver travel book (I love finding local bakeries and coffee shops when traveling). We stopped on our way back to Van from Whistler. It did not disappoint. I had the ham and cheese panini- delicious (even tho I'd forgotten to ask for no mayonnaise) and we tried 3 cookies: the peanut butter chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and the dark chocolate pistachio. All were amazing. They had all sorts of pastries and desserts. If I'm ever visiting the area from the east coast again I will definitely come back here! read more

Great Bakery!!! Loved checking this place out while we were visiting Squamish. It's in an industrial type area so it was a little hard to find but we got it eventually. We ordered the epibaguette, a ginger molasses cookie, and a cinnamon bun. The ginger molasses cookie and cinnamon bun were out of this world!!!! So delicious and fresh and the frosting on the cinnamon roll was absolutely amazing!! Our only problem was that we didn't love the baguette. We ate half of it right away for lunch and it was pretty good (but not amazing) and saved half for breakfast the next morning. By morning, it was completely hard and difficult to eat. I know fresh baguettes go stale fast and it's better to eat them completely fresh but less than 24 hrs is a bit fast in my opinion. Otherwise though loved this place!!!! If I'm going to pay a premium for an individual baked good when I could purchase an entire box at a grocery store for the same price - I want it to be worth it. Unfortunately I did not find that to be the case here. I purchased a cookie and a cinnamon bun for my husband and I. It was around 3pm and at that time there were limited goods to choose from in the case. We got set to enjoy them shortly after purchase, but I hate to say it our items were rather stale and hard. I love supporting a local business and with so many rave reviews I'm hoping this isn't the common experience. I imagine if you went earlier in the day you would get the fresh experience. The service was very friendly and I loved the modern clean lines of the industrial space. I would certainly give this place a try again as I'm rather hopeful that this was a one off experience. read more

The first cinnamon bun I had, I bought in the afternoon, was very good. So good, that I went again in the morning thinking it would be freshest. Instead, it was hard and dry. The customer right after me got his cinnamon bun fresh from the back. I asked if mine was baked today and she said yes, but I don't understand why it was so dry, and why wasn't I given the fresh one in the back? I felt a little discrimination. read more

We had a great experience the first time, getting the cinnamon buns and coffee to go, but we wanted to see if it was just as good the second visit before reviewing. WOW!! Even better than before!! I had the roast beef baguette sandwich, while my wife had the turkey baguette sandwich. Both were amazing. The roast beef had thinly sliced apple in it, and what a surprising, delicious sweetness added. We also took home a loaf of their garlic cheddar bread. We were warned that it might be a little spicy as they add chili flakes to the loaf. After arriving home, we tucked into the loaf...incredible!! Great blend of the cheddar and roasted garlic flavor, with the right amount of heat. Can't wait to go back next time we are up that way!! read more
