Best boba in the heights! Pluses 1. Easy to find and easy to order 2. Great milk teas - black and early grey today - the regular boba is great and we liked the grass jelly and coffee jelly a lot too 3. Friendly service 4. Casual ambiance 5. Good amount of tea Highly recommended for any boba cravings! Areas to improve

First time trying out a bubble tea spot in a while and I loved it! I am very picky with juices and tea because I don't like high sugar drinks and I love they have options of 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% sweet level. I chose 25% sweet level and I was able to finish my whole drink 10/10 What I ordered : - Kiwi Basil Green Tea (added Lychee) - Jasmine Apple Green Tea (added boba) The inside was so cute and aesthetic! Great for cute pics and for hanging out or studying! Inside is spacious, clean, and decor is very nice. They have games to play as well! Menu has many drink options, add ons, and desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful with what to do order. They helped with what some of the add ons were like describing texture, flavor, etc. They have multiple locations definitely stop by if you see one or want a fresh tea drink!

Me and my Friend when and we ask the cashier for lactose free milk she %100 say that our drinks were safe for us to drink.she lie to us never going back to that place

I was around the area today because I was actually eating across the street. I noticed Feng Cha while parking and had to stop in. Once I finished brunch I decided to walk over. Walking in the shop is nice. It's this nice space that has well spaced seating. I would say it would be nice for a place to sit and get some work done. It is also convenient to order and go as well. I decided to get the creme brulee dirty boba and Vietnamese coffee. I did not get to try the Vietnamese coffee since it was for my sister but the creme brulee dirty boba was good. Presentation is nice and I do enjoy the torch flame to finish off the drink. Not too sweet but it is just right in flavor. The staff that took my order was also the one to make my drink too. Nice and helpful in telling me about what were good choices on the menu. Overall it is a nice location and does have a different feel versus the Chinatown location that is closer to my area. It is a little of a trip for me to stop in but I do like Feng Cha wherever it is located. Unfortunately I couldn't help myself and didn't take a picture of my drink but it was well made. If you are in the Heights area, stopping in Feng Cha is a good idea.

Stopped by this super cute drink place since it was close by to some other errands and I am impressed! The design is super cute with solid space for groups or individuals. They even have a games so it could be a great group outing or even if you just want to study The menu options are probably was stood out to me the most solely because they were so UNIQUE. There were so many options I've never seen at other drink places with a few classics of course. Based on the servers recommendation (also loved her honesty), I ordered the dirty crème brûlée and YALL they actually blowtorched the top of the drink. I have never. It tastes delicious and for the size, I would say the price was worth it ($6-8)! They also had a tasty looking dessert menu but I didn't order any! Definitely will be returning to try other options whenever I'm in the area again!

Always fast, always fresh, and delicious. They don't have just all creamy drinks and they have more fresh flavors like lime basil and grapefruit. They also have rewards which is a bonus for me under the Five Stars app.

Brown Sugar Milk Tea: 8/10 I like my BSMT a bit sweeter, but this was gone in under 30 minutes! Super cute spot to study, catch up with friends, quick date, and more!

We're from Hawaii visiting Houston for the first time and staff Sam and Marisol made our experience extra special... served with patience and honest recommendations as these yummy choices were quite hard to decide. BTW, ambiance was a perfect fit to a hectic day! Mahalo!!!

Customer service was amazing and drinks phenomenal. I got the ube matcha latte. I want to go back and try more.

Mango Green Tea with Aloe Vera

Delicious and refreshing drinks! I tried the mango with Aloe Vera and did not disappoint. Mary made my tea - she was super sweet and knowledgeable about what type of drink I was craving. Definitely recommend and will come back soon!

By far the freshest, tastiest boba tea I've ever had! If you're never had boba tea from a place that uses fresh fruit and brews its own fresh tea and coffee daily, you're in for a treat - and you might not be able to go back to any other boba place again. We tried: 1. creme brûlée dirty boba (25% sweetness was perfect for me as I don't like overly sweet things), so creamy and delicious 2. classic milk tea (the difference with freshly brewed tea was obvious and so delicious) 3. dirty caffe latte (with cold brew! This was the best coffee drink I've ever had) 4. Bursting dragon fruit (perfect summer drink, fruity and fresh) 5. Summer melon (okay new perfect summer drink, omg this was so refreshing) The cakes are delicious too and made fresh every day. We tried the tiramisu and strawberry - both were delicious but especially the strawberry - covered in fresh fruit. The place is super cute and has a relaxing vibe, staff was friendly and quick. Not sure if all Feng Cha's have this high standard in quality but I highly recommend this location in particular!

It's nice having another boba option nearby! The employee who was helping me was very nice, it was her first day and she was training with another employee. I opted to get the rose oolong milk tea with grass jelly as my add in, less ice and 25% sweetness. It was pretty good! Not to sweet and slight floral notes. My only complaint is there wasn't a lot of grass jelly, which sucks when you're paying extra for it. Overall, cute place to hang out. Parking is to the left in the open parking lot if you're facing the store.

The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. Because of that experience, I chose not to patronize the this location but may try another location one day.

I believe the first time I came here. I had some breakfast tacos and an iced latte which I did really enjoy. Today I went, and I had a chorizo empanada, a Horchata doughnut, and the Neapolitan latte. The empanada was nice and hot, I do wish it was a little more flavorful but next time I'll probably just add some hot sauce or something. The inside looks really cozy however I didn't stay and eat there since I had my pets in the car. The Horchata doughnut was interesting, was not what I was expecting, but didn't hate it. The Neapolitan latte taste like dessert, was definitely on the sweeter side which the cashier had warned me of. But overall, I really enjoyed it. I do love that they use Bendy straws, it's one of the only coffee shops I've been to that has consistently used them lol.

The best black sesame latte in Houston…read more I'm always looking for black sesame flavored drinks ever since I tried it in Seattle, so I was excited that TwoTone had it. The nuttiness of the sesame goes SOOO well with the espresso taste and it's a good creaminess too. I also like the texture of the bits of sesame seeds in the drink. The aesthetic of the cafe is modern with street-style flairs, it's a really cool space. I also love that there are Filipino flavors on the menu like ube and pandan. Most workers are super nice and say your name like they know you. They're also super attentive to ensure that everything with your order is perfect. Jonah was very welcoming and helpful, making sure we got a menu while in line! The weekdays seem to be better for wait-time, with little to no wait. The weekends however are packed and usually have lines. If you're not a line person, I would definitely come on a weekday. TwoTone is probably the best specialty coffee you can get in Houston, especially in terms of Asian flavors and creaminess. If it was closer to inner Houston, I would probably come here everyday.

It's off the feeder road of I-10 and in an inconspicuous place. It's a retail space and at first glance it looks empty and kind of shady granted, I was there around 7 AM. It may be busier and more lively later in the day or on weekends. In any case I pulled up and I saw their sign, but I was kind of concerned that it was closed because you couldn't see through the windows and again the parking lot just looked empty . I went to the door and went in. It's a very minimalist space and the decor of cold concrete floors matched the attitude and personalities of the people working that day. I was never graded, and there were a couple people sitting, waiting for coffees... There was no menu to be seen at first glance but I have a very simple order that I had in my mind because I like espresso and not sweet sugary drinks. I walked up to the register and there was a young girl who just looked at me like I was bothering her her by being in front of her. She never smiled, and she just waited for me to order. I told her good morning and she replied "Morning"...barely opened her mouth, not welcoming (or sincerity) and no smile. My order was simple.: three shots of espresso, 2 ounces of half-and-half and caramel drizzle mixed in the espresso. She looked at me weird and said ...so you want a latte? I said no not at all because I only want 2 ounces of half-and-half. I don't want all the milk of a latte. She didn't look down at the computer and kind of looked behind at a barista, and then looked back at the computer and said we do our shots in doubles .... Meaning she wouldn't give me only three shots I had to buy four. I thought that was interesting since other local shops indulge me without an issue, but I agreed to four shots. She asked me if that was it and I said yes..... I was very surprised but paid over $10 for my order of one drink! I paid because honestly, I was already ready to get out. I paid and I waited about 15 minutes for my coffee, even though there was only one person waiting for their coffee before me. I got my drink and left before tasting it. It was awful. The pull was not done well and the coffee tasted almost sour. Ugh. I was so disappointed. The very next day, my coworker said give it another try maybe it was just an off day . She also said she'd buy my coffee to make up for it so I couldn't turn that down This time I went a little bit later there was about three people in line before me. They had a lot more staff working probably about five people in total versus three the previous day. There was a different girl to front who took my order and was the total opposite of the lady the day before; bright eyed, kind and very welcoming. My coffee was still over $10 and this time it took me 35 minutes to get my coffee. I don't know if they had DoorDash orders or what, but I couldn't understand why there was a lot more workers and it took double the time to get my coffee. Once I got my coffee, it did taste better than my first visit, but still had a little bit of sour taste... Not as much as before though. Even if it ended up tasting better, I could not validate paying $10 for my coffee and waiting up to 35 minutes for it.. Especially when I can go to any of my other local coffee shops that I normally frequent for a less than $5 coffee (that only has three shots that I want) and the great service and flavor is always consistent. I never want to see any business fail. So I hope that the owners will discuss the importance of consistency in making their product, as well as being hospitable. There are so many coffee shops in Houston that one could choose from.

My beloved Boomtown RIP…read more This pains me to write. Different is certainly not always better, especially when what you had was already working. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.
