Super excited about more boba spots opening up in Midtown! R&B Tea is a local chain serving all the usual boba favorites, but what really stood out to me was their small selection of Vietnamese coffee drinks. I tried the sea salt Vietnamese coffee and it was so good--strong, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try their egg coffee next. The shop itself is really nice inside, the decor is clean and modern, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Bonus points for plenty of parking too, which is always a win in this area. If you're craving boba, matcha, or Vietnamese coffee, definitely check them out!

We finally decided to try R&B Tea since it is closer to our apartment. The vibe from the staff was very off putting and when we asked questions because it was our first time it felt like we were bothering them. There was a total of 8 customers 4 of which was my family and the drinks took forever to be served. My drink did not taste good and I ended up throwing it away.

It's good! Same quality as other locations. The employee was very nice. Greeted me when I entered. The inside is very clean and modern. Great place to meet up with people. My drink was great. No complaints.

Solid newer boba spot in the area. Super clean interior and it was a one woman job as far as staffing goes. Their menu is a bit large and is reminiscent of Feng Cha. I got their taro storm drink with no sugar and it was still a bit too sweet with the toppings. Overall flavor was good and it'll be interesting to try out their more traditional drinks, but seems like you will need to dial down the sweetness and ice for maximum effect.

Tried the avocado smoothie at R&B Tea House Midtown - super creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. Will definitely order again!

I just dug in and didn't look back. One of the employees gave us cups, but it took me a while to actually put something in it cause I was too busy eating. I would'veeee put a photo, cause y'know, the camera eats first.. that rule didn't apply for today.

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

There is a matcha restaurant right next door (called "Isa"), make sure you aren't standing in line for that one, make sure you go inside the actual restaurant (unlike us). They have a kiosk that you can order from and have a pretty extensive menu, so many flavors, sauces, and customization add-ons. I went with the classic Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Deluxe (add-on) + HOT Honey substitution (add-on), side of regular fries, side of White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. We didn't go during a busy moment so it took only about 10 minutes for them to make our order. Their sandwiches are to DIE for, I would recommend you ask for your sandwich to be cut in half. The chicken was fresh, sauce was sweet and flavorful, they put the right amount of sauce along with tomatoes, lettuce and other add-ons. My rating of the sandwich is 9.4/10, it is literally the perfect sandwich if the sandwich wasn't disintegrating on me, but I think that is a good thing, wouldn't want a crunchy waffle sandwich. The mac & cheese was also very good, would give a 8.1/10, if they crusted their mac & cheese, it would be 10 times better. Would also recommend a bit of a kick, but it complemented the meal pretty well. All in all, this was a great place to stop by for lunch, they had a patio that we sat outside and ate at on a beautiful day. The front cashier was very helpful, walking us through the entire menu and giving us his best recommendations, definitely bettered our experience. For the quality of the meal, the pricing is also very reasonable as well. I would recommend if you are around the area, to stop by and enjoy a meal at this establishment. They have another location as well, which I didn't know (hopefully quality is consistent across the board because quality was great during this visit.

When we were finished with order a young guy came out and asked if we had any questions. We said no, but a lady came up and asked for whipped cream. This was the beginning of a marathon session that I can only liken to a Saturday Night Live skit. The young guy explained you had to order it with your meal, the gues explained she didn't see it on the screen, .. it went ON & On. .. finally the woman said could you get it for me??? He. .. pretty much acts like "no", he could not. Telling her she had to order on screen. She had to pay for it. The seriously patient customer is going along with all of this. .. she was being SO patient! At one point the young man even starts to tell her that he doesn't think it s whipped cream. .. I m thinking surely there is a camera somewhere hidden. .. This truly has to be a joke?!! At this point, I m frustrated that I wasn't filming this UNBELIEVABLE scene. I had to quit listening. .. I did not time this interaction, but it definitely spanned several minutes! Eventually I saw the kid bring her the tiniest of tiny portion cups ( no lid) that I can only assume was whipped cream or whatever concoction the employee thought it to be. .. I m still in shock to have witnessed this absurd scene. After we sat for awhile a young female employee came out . .. a forefinger and middle finger each inside holding 2 cups in her fingers. She looks at our receipt and says did you have 1 or 2 drinks? My husband says 1, but I wanted water. She releases her finger from one cup and turns with one cup back to her spot behind the scenes, making no reply to my husband. I m wondering if she was on the phone with an earpiece? She spoke loudly in a language I did not understand for the majority of our visit. .. Eventually, my husband mentioned maybe music would be nice? Help muffle her loud constant chatter? At one point she did come out sweeping the floor for a few minutes, but the entire time we were there, I did not see anyone while tables or clean up at drink/condiment station that was messy and sticky. Amazingly, enough We LOVED THE CHICKEN WAFFLE SANDWICH! but this is a poorly run restaurant, that needs a staffing fix. .. I m truly guessing family run business. I m hoping for whoever owns this, that they catch on now & fix things before it s too late. With frustrating service, and my sanitation concerns. .. I will try maybe once more because it truly was good food. But if it isn't any better I will not return again & I don't think I m alone.

Despite its location, it's surprisingly a quiet place - just some pretty light foot traffic in the morning I came. The waffle dish of choice today was "The Rancher" - a play on Chicken and Waffles as a sandwich, featuring syrup, powdered sugar, and ranch on the side. It was a truly creative choice, and it had many highs to it. The chicken was fried well, and the waffles were quite fluffy. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the ranch and syrup together - maybe it's just personal taste though. The sandwich was also a bit small for the $14 price point - I left definitely wanting some more food in the belly. Overall, not a bad place. The food quality is there - it just may be a bit small portion size.

Cruiser Coffee (Organic) - That's some bitter coffee. It's not sweet, but it has a residual candy-like taste that resembles something I can't quite recall. My orange juice connoisseur BFF gave it the thumbs-up of approval. We asked for a glass of ice, and it elevated the drink. Steak and Green Eggs (BFF) - Wow. Those green eggs--what's in them?
