First, great job on the renovation. Place looks really nice and the place looks clean. Went here to get some dinner for the fam yesterday. Ended up spending over $100 on food. Sad to say that out of all the food we got, the only thing that made me happy was the small slice of sapin-sapin. I don't know what it is, it seems it's always a hit or miss now when it comes to Felynn's. This used to be the best place to go to, good service, always great food, good portions. These days I have 2nd thoughts on going because I'm afraid I'll end up wasting money on food we end up not enjoying. We were on a lumpia mission. We went to 2 Filipino restaurants and Felynn had the goods!! I haven't been in a while, and the look has changed. It's an updated look inside with a cozy feel and the food is cafeteria style. They had menudo, chicken and pork on a stick, garlic rice, fried pork, desserts, and etc. I ordered lumpia, garlic rice, and pork on a stick. My sister got the turon. The lumpia was hot and fresh! It was ok but could have been a little more flavorful. The sweet chili sauce made it better. I liked the garlic rice also. The pork on a stick was a no no for me. It was tough and had a lot of tough fat on it. I couldn't eat it. I'd go back for the lumpia and rice though. My sisters turon looked good and we usually like it, but it tasted like plantian instead of banana, and it was very firm like a plantain. We've never had it like that before!! I recently went here for the first time since it got renovated, and the updated space is super cute. Definitely an aesthetic and Instagram worthy spot to sit down and enjoy Filipino food :) As for the food, the palabok wasn't quite to my taste. The flavor was fine, but the sauce felt heavy and soupy. It felt like the noodles were just drowning in the sauce :( The menudo was solid, no complaints here. The halo halo was a delicious classic desert, but I really wish they topped it with ube ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream, like a lot of other spots do! Still a great spot to buy Filipino food! Wow, the long remodel was definitely worth it. It is beautiful in here! Unfortunately that is where the goodness ended. Food was ok but not like I remember it. We were there an hour before closing and they were already vacuuming, putting chairs on tables, etc. not a great welcoming experience for people that wanted to eat in. Im here on business and I was looking for a taste and comfort of home. The food was excellent, with each dish standing out in its own way. The adobo was rich and flavorful, perfectly tender with a deep savory sauce. The pancit was light yet packed with flavor, with a great mix of noodles, vegetables, and seasoning. I'm not sure I'm returning to Felyns. At first I was mad at the price, and then I tasted the food. Honestly, their food has always been an issue for us. I ordered kare kare which was bland, bbq pork sticks that tasted more like ketchup than bbq pork, and the kuchenta had a greasy texture to it that made the inside of my mouth oily. We also ordered sisig for my son and it is not as good as Kainan's sisig. Each time we've gone there, something is always off with the food. We ordered pork adobo which also had chicken in it. Another time before that, we ordered pork adobo and it was sweet. The only thing that was good from today's order was the sapin-sapin. They did a good job renovating; there seems to be more seating now that there's no dance floor. But perhaps work on the food instead, it was better before the renovations. read more

Hits the spot!! Came here for Filipino breakfast but was too late and learned it ends at 10am when I dropped by on a Saturday. No worries their line was full of delicious dishes for lunch so I started to order. I got their beef soup (nilaga) and the pork steak with onions and rice. The soup was so good, I should have gotten two bowls. It definitely hit the spot especially on a cold day like it was. The staff was friendly and patient especially in trying to decide what to get. The restaurant was big and clean. There are plenty of tables to eat at if you choose to eat there. I made note of their breakfast times and went back again this past weekend. Made it in time for breakfast and got the corned beef, longanisa, eggs and fried rice. It was so good and so filling. I couldn't finish my order. I called first to check what time they serve Filipino breakfast. The young lady told me until 11am. We drove almost half an hour to go there to enjoy traditional Filipino breakfast only to be greeted in the parking lot saying they are only doing carry outs because they are under renovations. She should have told me on the phone. So, we reluctantly got carry-out to eat in our hotel room. By the time we got to our hotel room, the food was already cold. The beef tapa was hard, dry and chewy. They ran out of the corned beef so they gave us more tapa instead. The longaniza was dry and lacked flavor. The tocino was way too sweet and had way too much fat. The garlic rice was dry and hard. It was like chewing seeds instead of rice. The sunny side up and over-easy eggs, well, they were already cold so needless to say, it was no good. So disappointing and such a waste of money and time. read more

I always get their pancit (bihon, thin glass noodles), it's always on point very flavorful and not dry. Today they also have pancit palabok. And 2 entrees, this time I got (pork) sisig and pinakbet. Guess what they give you bagoong (shrimp paste) to go with the pinakbet. Everything was really good. The only thing I'd say though is their turon isn't as thin and crispy, they're burnt in parts and tough. They have delicious cassava cake with coconut, highly recommended. This was homemade, the staff hooked me up and helped me out with the food choices, from the Lechon, to the Pork Adobo, this was heaven on a plate. They really need to train their younger employees, especially if they're going to work behind the counter and are face of the restaurant when dealing with customers. I was behind a an older couple who seemed like it was their first time trying filipino food. So it seemed natural for them to be curious and ask questions about the food. When they asked the younger female server (I think her name was Bella) what the food was, she just stared at the them like she was annoyed and mentioned the name but didnt explain what the food was. How were the customers supposed to know what caldereta and dinuguan are if they've never had it? She also rushed them and got confused by the order so she had to throw away a plate because SHE misheard them. One of the other employees even noticed her behavior and told her to go take a break. She said she just got there, but she already had an attitude. When the customers got to checkout, they wanted to order taho so the employee at the checkout asked bella to go make the taho and bella rolled her eyes and was stomping as she went back to the kitchen. Please do better at training the younger employees with better customer service. They do not compare to the previous employees at all. read more

We ordered - sisig - lack flavor, not lechon kawali meat like before - Pancit palabok - thick noodles Pancit. Veryyy bland. No flavor at all - Kare Kare - meat was pork and lack of flavor as well. We also ordered lechon kawali and pancit bihon. All lack of flavor. So disappointed. Not sure if we will return. read more

Stay clear if you want to end up paying more to get less - the place is newly renovated and the ambience is nice. Unfortunately, with the nicer renovations - the price has also gone up so much. We ordered a large and it was placed inside a cup. The lady who was serving it seemed reluctant to give any meat. She'd scoop it into the cup, and if there was any other pieces of meat, she'd then pour it back out. $20 for a dish served in a foam cup. It wouldn't have been a big deal if they actually served you what you paid for instead of being stingy with the portions and the servings of meat. They have Tocino!!! And I am so thankful because I've called and called every last Filipino restaurant specifically looking for Tocino. Just as I was getting ready to give up, I called here and the woman said "yes, we have it till 10." It's 8 am and I'm still in my pajamas running out the door to get Tocino in the rain, no less. We preordered dinner to feed six adults . Large trays of pansit, lechon kawali, pinakbet , rice and about 25 pcs of fried lumpia. We also added 3 turons ( they were at least 6 in long) . The bill came to $160 ! So cheap for aaalll that food!! And it was aalll delicious!!! Especially the lechon kawali - perfectly fried , tender and crunchy!! Be very careful when Felynn rings you up. She likes to charge more than the actual price and then she has the nerve to charge for cups (example: if you get mongo or sinigang that they cannot put in the to go box) they charge extra for the bowl they put the soup in (25 cents)! I've been frequenting this Filipino restaurant for some time and I often vary my order to get a taste of the many offerings they have. Located in the Parkway shopping area, their food goes well with offerings from the neighboring Kung Fu tea. There is shared parking in a small lot but you can park in the larger area and walk over. On some nights they have karaoke. There is a dance floor but I've never gone for after hours entertainment. Occasionally you'll see a vendor in the restaurant and on my most recent visit, someone encouraging voter registration. Sundays seem to be a busier day when many families dine in. There is a bar on site and the line does move fairly quickly so I do recommend you make up your mind before standing in line. Catering, dine in and to go options are available. If you like certain items that normally sell out quickly, I'd suggest going early or calling to verify if your favorite item is available. For beverages, they have a cooler with an assortment of drinks and they make Halo-halo too. So of all the good things I can say there are some areas of improvement. Notify customers that there are changes in prices and a surcharge to pay by credit card. I patiently demonstrated to one cashier how to use Samsung pay and things go smoothly whenever I'm there. I have noticed preferential treatment to certain customers. This has been demonstrated in two customers ordering the same dish but the portions are disproportionately dispensed. Practices like this drive up the cost and breeds discontent. If you opt to dine in, anticipate people to walk past you as you're eating to get to the line to order. Its a little close for comfort but people try to make their way respectfully. I'm not sure if they have a new cook or recipe but the sisig seems different. The flavor is still very good but it has more vegetables (onions, red/green bell peppers) than it did before and the cuts of meat seem as though its from repurposed menu items. That's well and good but plays a big part in my level of happiness with the dish. The servers are often feverishly working filling orders so don't anticipate small talk. I was craving fish and I'm glad I went here because their milk fish was delicious!! Crispy and not greasy at all. As you can see I ordered biko (filipino dessert) and I couldn't wait to eat it at all. One of the best filipino restaurants in the area. I always compare other dishes to my mom's. Because you know, no one cooks better than your mom. Lol. Buuuttt their dishes are close. They have space inside to eat. They have a bar area if you're wanting to do a happy hour.
