Let's see!! We ordered combo #2 and combo #3... My husband and I visited this food truck this past Sunday. I believe this was their first time in Suffolk so when my husband found out that they were going to be here on Sunday he already planned for our dinner to take place here. We arrived a little after 2:00 p.m. and there was a line already but needless to say the line moves swiftly. We ordered our Combos and waited about 15 minutes maybe less for our food. I believe everything is cooked to order. Our food was packaged very well!! I would like to think... packaged with love as you can see one of the pictures I did get a snap. The customer service was spot on...we were greeted we were thanked...service with a smile that's already five stars out of five stars in my opinion. We didn't eat our food until we got home ...my husband had the orange chicken along with the pancit and some chicken skewers that he added to his combo and I had the pancit along with the chicken skewers. Everything was awesome!! A lot of pancit came in that combo and I had no business eating it all in one sitting but I did. Again Super Fresh and not to the point where I was regretting eating a whole tray of pancit. If you have not tried this food truck definitely put it on your radar. I tried it a few years ago and some of the items I didn't care for so it's up to you to try at your own risk but I highly recommend the pancit and the orange chicken. I believe they're going to have Suffolk on their rotation going forward so look out for them if you're going to be in the area or just go to their Facebook page and check out where they're going to be next! We remembered them from the year before and have ordered twice in the past. We enjoyed the orange chicken, crab Rangoon lumbia, and the chicken pancit. We ordered via text, trying to get in before everyone else, but we still missed out on the veggie lumpia!!! The portions are huge. Remember that the pancit and veggies are the star of the plate, so don't be disappointed with the amount of chicken (I have friends from the Phillipines). Just recived my order and very disappointed. I ordered a #2 combo with an order of Crab Rangoon lumpia. The Crab Rangoon had no crab and way too much filling. Weng's Kitchen markets itself as Chinese-Filipino fusion, in a food truck, but the experience was hit or miss. The pancit was decent and the chicken skewers were flavorful, but the orange chicken was a letdown--soggy, overly sauced, far too sweet, and buried in heavy breading. Expect a 10-20 minute wait for your order. The standout item by far was the crab rangoon lumpia, which was crispy, creamy, and worth coming back for. On the plus side, they do offer a small discount if you pay in cash, but overall the food was inconsistent. read more

I love the Weng's family business. They are always professional and welcoming. The truck is clean and the food they produce out of it is heavenly. I have tried everything on the menu except the ham and cheese lumpia. I will have to try them but definitely everything else on the menu is divine. I love pancit and this is the best tasting pancit around. The lumpias are fried to perfection and flavor packed. I will travel to other cities to catch the food truck, it's just that amazing! I want to start my recommendation by saying I'm really sorry I have to do this review, but I have to be honest. I spent 53 dollars yesterday on my phone for 2 mediocre food trays and an order of beef lumpia. I ordered one combo with pancit add chicken with chicken skewers, and one with orange chicken and shrimp pancit. The orange chicken tasted like pre-made frozen chicken , the chicken skewers were flavorless, and the pancit was bland. The only thing that tasted decent was the lumpia with the sauce. The lumpia tots and pancit are a 100/10! Absolutely amazing. The orange chicken is not good... im pretty sure it's frozen chicken chunks and the breading is super soggy and never tastes good or fresh. We also weren't fans of the fried rice, the last few times it was mushy and didn't taste like anything. The service is just ok, pretty curt but I think it's because they're usually busy. Chicken lumpia is so delicious tots were fried to perfection, orange chicken was so flavorful, and the chicken on a stick was juicy! The pansit was a bit over seasoned in my opinion. Filipino cuisine meets Chinese takeout at Weng's Kitchen! They were parked right at the entrance of Cova Brewing in East Beach and I got a friendly greeting. They were patient with me, which is important since it was my first time trying. It was hard to decide! Everything sounded good. I knew what I came for but there was more for me to stay lol I got the combo plate that came with a hefty side and two entrees. My plate had pancit, chicken skewers, and orange chicken. The moment I opened up the tray, everything was steaming. Fresh and delicious. I'm picky with my pancit, but the sauces blended well with the textures and boy were those chicken skewers JUICY lol. I also got the special, lumpia tots. Combined together are chicken lumpia bites and taters, topped with cheddar and sweet chili sauce. She was cute. Definitely something you'd wanna share if you decide to try with friends, family, colleagues, whomever (same vibe as Bay Local Ta-chos or Alkaline's Tater Tot Okonomiyaki #iykyk) Finally, my favorite, and the reason why I wanted to try this food truck in the first place: crab Rangoon lumpia. This food truck travels between Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Suffolk VA. It is a combination between Filipino and Chinese food. They have lumpia, pancit, chicken skewers, fried rice, orange chicken, crab Rangoon lumpia and a few other side items. We ordered two combo platters with almost everything listed, as well as the crab Rangoon lumpia. I would have listed as a 5 star but the orange chicken was a little disappointing. The sauce was decent but the chicken tasted like they were just chicken nuggets from McDonald's or some other fast food place. My husband and I really liked the lumpia and the skewers and the rice and pancit were good also. Another thing is that drinks are not included with the combo platters. It was quick service and the person taking our order was nice. The prices are a little high but I think that is expected with most food trucks. read more

I happened to ride past a few food trucks sitting in the church parking lot and I figured I would give this place a try since I've heard great things from my friends. I was not disappointed with the items I ordered. I did spend about $50, but they do provide a lot of food in the combos. I ordered the combo platter, combo #4, and the crab Rangoon lumpia and it took about 15 minutes for everything to be ready. Great food! We use Weng's to cater a HS Grad Party and the food was top notct to feed 30.

The ordering process and communication was confusing the whole time, like I'm still confused on a few things she was telling me. The food was okay. The orange chicken definitely tasted like a pre-made frozen type thing. The chicken skewers tasted good on the outside but the marinade didn't make it through the chicken so it was a bit bland inside. Pancit and lumpia were good. I've had better lumpia. With the price and hard time ordering I wouldn't get it again. I guess I accidentally ordered the wrong combo. They should eliminate the combo with chicken skewers and no lumpia. I ended up going back after I had started driving because I thought I was missing 2 but I had ordered the wrong combo. I was interrupted a few times as I was ordering and I think that's how I messed up. They even said it happens a lot. They did end up giving them to me for free after I declined to pay the difference because I left my wallet in my car parked across the street and complained a little about the confusion and not being given or asked if I wanted a receipt. Why not text it? They text when orders are ready. He did print me one but I would have checked it and not came back over 2 lumpia if I realized it was my mistake. read more

Well today was the day... I finally was able to experience Weng's kitchen. I've had several people at the base talk about how good their food is however because of where I live is kind of hard to catch their truck. However today they were nearby and I had the chance to try it for myself. When I pulled in the parking lot where their food truck was the smell was amazing! Upon stepping up to the food truck I was greeted with a warm smile and a hello I asked for recommendations as this was my first time trying their food and they suggested the combo platter. I had the chicken pans it, chicken skewers, and chicken lumpia. They took my phone number and advise they would text when my order was ready. They called in less than 8 minutes to advise my food was up and ready. When I got home and open my box of food I was blown away because there was so much food. My first taste I was in love it was well seasoned and not greasy. The lumpia was also very tasty and I only had one bite of my chicken skewers because my son took one bite and took them from me. It is my hope that I will be able to catch them again soon as the service and the food were both top-notch! read more
