My daughter and I stopped by on a random Tuesday in March around 10 AM, and the place was *packed* -- clearly a popular spot with the locals. The restaurant is pretty small, so there wasn't much room to move around, which made it feel a bit cramped. One odd part of the experience was a large dog someone brought inside. It was definitely not a service animal -- it was whining, pacing, and even getting into other people's space and near their tables. The waitress looked visibly annoyed (and honestly, I don't blame her). It made things uncomfortable for everyone around. That said, the food was great! It came out hot, fresh, and exactly as we ordered. Despite the chaos with the dog and the tight space, the food made up for it. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

I've only had the Cheeseburger here and it was BOMB!! The fact that they let me add an extra patty (for a price) makes it even better, because I LOVE me a good double/triple cheeseburger. The place itself was also really small, which I love, and the service was excellent. I was sitting at the bar one time and the remote for my car fell out of my pocket (handle broke). I thought I lost it, but another patron told me that an employee found it and I got it back from them. If you're there for a bomb ass meal around breakfast/brunch (they do close at 2), this is the place to get it

Such a hidden gem! It gives very much mom and pop vibes. As soon as we arrived, we knew the food was going to be fire. We walked in, were warmly greeted, and sat quickly. Our server was very welcoming and prompt. The food was delicious. The portions were large so you will leave full and satisfied!!

Soooo good! Small place that definitely packs you in and worth the wait. Really good comfort food that came out quick. Multiple coffee refills - will definitely be back!

Classic Diner - oh YES it is! This is our second thine eating here and both trips were fantastic. This is not Michelin star food, this is just good diner food done really really well. My measure of any diner or breakfast place is always scrambled eggs. You'd be pretty surprised how many places mess this simple staple up. Not Classic Diner though. Perfectly cooked! The grits are just as yummy as they were on our first trip. They know how to do grits here! But here's the thing that says it all for me, and this seems small, but it's the English muffins. So many places slice them. English muffins are not meant to be sliced! Grrr. Classic Diner knows this and splits them. I mean seriously where else is the butter supposed to go if not in the "nooks and crannies?" Hubby had a cheesesteak on this trip and loved it. It is sliced thin like steak ums, but unlike some places, this was cooked really well (instead of over cooked). The bread was excellent as well! The staff is super friendly - every single one of them. Trust, we will definitely be back again!

I had a great breakfast experience, and had no idea that this no frills place existed. A nice little diner with great food and awesome service. My waitress was great, but it seems like the staff actually enjoy working with each other, which elevated my experience at the diner. For my dining pleasure, I went with the country omelette, and it was top notch. I definitely see myself returning to Classic Diner to satisfy my breakfast cravings.

Classic Diner is located in the Providence Square Shopping Center. I heard about this place from a friend at work, so I decided to come out and try them as I'm always up to trying something new to me. My visit here was on February 16, 2020. When you see the place from the outside, it doesn't look like much with other places right next to it. However, once you come inside, you will notice it is a small place, but it definitely has the look and feel of a diner. It was busy, but not overly busy when we came in, so we were immediately seated. The table had ads on them as well, which is typical of a diner. This was in the morning, so we were here for breakfast. Within a moment or so, our server was at the table asking if we wanted something to drink and if we were ready to order. We weren't ready to order food yet since this was the first time visiting. When she came back with our drinks, we were then ready to order. I got the French Toast Deluxe with bacon and eggs. My mom got the House Omelet. A little under 10 minutes after ordering, our breakfast orders came to the table. They were nice and hot, including the eggs and bacon. The French Toast was very good, along with the bacon and eggs. My mom liked her omelet as well. Throughout the visit, even though it was busy, our server was very attentive as well. Overall, this was a very good first experience here. You don't get to see too many places in this area that have the feel of a diner. With great food and service, even though it's a bit further away from where I am in the city, I will definitely come back after the pandemic subsides. If you're looking for a good place with a diner feel in the area, you should definitely check this place out.

The service was great. The two ladies running around definitely made sure everyone was well taken care of. 5 stars for service. Love the hometown diner feel. If you're looking for standard diner food at an okay price come here. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the food wasn't anything special. But it wasn't bad. Just eh. And the prices were much higher when I got there than had been advertised but I understand it happens. I included pictures of the entire menu so you can see the current prices. A tad more than I'd expect to pay but all in all not a bad experience.

Always quality food and service. Their name says it all "Classic Diner". Seems like a lot of regulars and that's a pretty good sign.

I have had a few visits here now, and the most recent visit was on January 12, 2026. At the beginning of each new year, I like to try a place that I have never been to before, so January 1, 2026, was the first time I had come here. My mom was with me. Depending on when you come in general, parking can be limited at times with all the other businesses in this shopping center. Upon first look at the place from the outside, you can see the name and logo pretty easily. It looks similar to other places that happen to be in this same shopping center. We got here around 8 am on that first visit. When we came inside, it wasn't too busy yet, likely due to others probably still sleeping after being up past midnight for the new year. The inside of the place has a modern diner type of vibe, which fits the restaurant well. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server Brooke came over pretty quickly and asked us what we would like to drink. I just do my usual of water with lemon, and my mom had gotten coffee. It would take us a little while to choose since there lots of good items to choose from. When she came back to check again, we were ready this time. I figured I'd get something I don't normally do, so I went for the French Toast Combo with scrambled eggs, bacon, and baked apples. My mom decided to go with the Ultimate Skillet with rye toast. The food would come out pretty quick. It was around ten minutes or so. Both breakfast entrees looked really good and they were hot. It felt like an indulgence when I started on the French toast since it has been a long time since having it. The baked apples were great too, and something else I don't normally have. I will note that I didn't get a blood sugar spike after this meal either that day. My mom enjoyed the Ultimate Skillet as much as I did with the French Toast Combo. After the experience from that first visit, we came back to try the lunch/dinner menu options for dinner that day. This visit was on January 12, 2026. After being seated initially, we moved over to a table since the booths were a bit tight. Kellie was our server on this visit. She asked us what we wanted to have to drink, and I went with water with lemon and my mom went with a coke. After taking some time to look over the menu, we were ready to order. My mom decided not to have too much, so she just went with the Loaded Baked Potato side item. I decided to try the Chipotle Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich with the homemade chips as the side. Just like the last time, it took about ten minutes or so for the food to come out. The sandwich I had was really good, and so were the homemade chips. This time, this meal did spike my blood sugar levels, but it was so good. My mom told me afterwards that the loaded baked potato she had come out cold. It was then that we let the server know, and she asked if she wanted to get it redone. She said no but wanted to take it home instead. The server did take off the cost of that item. It was likely due to it sitting before my sandwich was ready to bring them out together. Mom did get a box to bring it home and had it later that evening, and she said it was good when it was heated up at home too. Overall, we have had a few very good experiences here. The food and service were good, and the issue for my mom was handled well too. That shows they truly care about the experience of the visitors here. Both menus may be just two sides, but there is quite a bit to choose from. I think anyone would find something they would like here. There is one thing I want to note when it comes to paying. There is a 3% surcharge added to the total including taxes if you use a credit card instead of cash. In the end, if you are looking for a diner type of place, this one is worth checking out.

It happened to be Restaurant Week, which made us a little nervous, but it ended up being totally fine. The dining room never felt overly crowded, the noise level was comfortable, and having the Restaurant Week prix fixe, drink specials, and regular menu all available gave us plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. One small note: the plastic logo cups served with the water decanter felt a little out of place. They were a bit sharp on the lips and didn't quite match the rest of the dining experience. Minor detail, but noticeable. The drinks, however, were excellent. On our server's recommendation, my husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I had the Salted Caramel Martini. Both were seasonal specials and both were fantastic. When we asked about the scotch eggs, our server explained they're normally a brunch-only item. We were a little disappointed (and may have made a few pouty faces while explaining we'd come specifically for them for his birthday), but we quickly let it go, it obviously wasn't her fault. What we didn't realize was that she went back and told the kitchen manager that it was his birthday and that we'd made the trip just for those scotch eggs. Since the kitchen wasn't slammed, they decided to make them anyway and surprised us with an order. We were honestly floored. My husband was thrilled. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. And the scotch eggs were exactly what he'd been hoping for! They were crispy on the outside with a rich, savory center. For entrées, his Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy with the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. My Haystack Burger was stacked and delicious, though the BBQ sauce was strong enough to overshadow the pickled green tomato a bit. The fries were fantastic - crispy, battered, and perfect from first bite to last. Our server checked in at all the right times and kept drinks refilled without us needing to ask. The fact that she went out of her way to do something special during one of the busiest weeks on a restaurant's calendar says a lot about both her and the restaurant. Rustic Spoon is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual date night as it does for a birthday dinner or a night out with friends.

Most places turn you away and tell you to deal with Uber but as a reviewer I also love to review customer service. The manager took ownership of the issue and let me know I could pick up the pancakes. When I get there, he was waiting at the front door for me, had my food hot and ready, and added something a little extra for the mistake. My wife loves this place and I understand why. I trained bank associates on customer service and soft skills and if I could've recorded this interaction, it would've been the best training one could offer. We often overlooked how important excellent service is and how it influences customers. This situation turned me into a supporter of this business going forward. Btw my food was awesome and the Apple Pie pancakes were worth it.

Next time must try their lavender latte or pistachio... but gotta get it before 5/31 as it's available for a limited time! Definitely recommend the brekki bowl with cheese grits and fried chicken! You will not be disappointed. Cheese grits like "buhhhttah" without the oily and maybe the calories?! But honestly, so flavorful and creamy without the guilty feeling for having something that tastes so good. The veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked to give you great texture contrast. And let me tell you about their fried chicken!! Chefs kiss! Moist, flavorful lightly breaded chicken fried to perfection that had a slight kick for this girl. In full disclosure black pepper is spicy for me so take that with a grain of salt. And for those of you like me that believe there is never too much salt and add salt to your salt but need to cut that bad habit... this whole dish is the perfect amount of salt. I literally never had to add just a little more. The goat cheese crumbles gave each bite the little extra tah-dah pop that might have been otherwise gotten had you like me added a few more shakes of salt to the dish. Seriously though, if you are watching to slowly cut back on having to add salt to your food, this dish is for you! The service was great and everyone was friendly and hustling! This place is the best for a quick sit down or a group brunch. I saw a table of like 10 menly bros enjoying a huge selection of food, drinks, and catching up. One thing I noticed is that parking can get limited here when there are lots of visitors to this shopping center. My visit here was on April 17, 2026. The first thing I noticed was parking. Although this is in a shopping center, parking can be hard to find at times, especially during peak times. I was able to find one on this visit, but there wasn't much available. The Yellow signage for the name of the business on the outside helps see it pretty quickly. When my mom and I came inside, it was already busy. There was a wait to get a table, but I wasn't totally surprised at that. It would take about 15 minutes to get a table. Once we got to the table, we had a chance to look over the menu for a moment before the server came around and asked for our drink orders. Water came to the table at that time too. I decided to try their Bloody Mary for a drink and my mom did a Pepsi. The Pepsi comes in a can. I want to note that they have vegan options on their menu, so that adds to the amount of items to choose from. They have a pretty big menu covering both breakfast and lunch options. After having some time to look over the menu, we were finally ready to order. I don't do French Toast too often, so I decided to do the French Toast Meal with scrambled eggs and bacon (crispy). My mom decided to go with the Veggie Egg Scrambler, adding cheese to it. She got white toast and bacon as the sides to go with it. While waiting for the food to come, I tried the Bloody Mary. It was in a tall thin glass. The Bloody Mary was good. After about ten minutes or so, the food came out to the table and it looked really good. The server brought over syrup for my French Toast, but I told her I didn't need it, as I don't normally do lots of sugary items. As we started eating, the food was definitely hot, which is great as it came out pretty much when it was done from the kitchen. The French Toast was really good and it was a great indulgence for me. The eggs and bacon were really good too. My mom liked the Veggie Egg Scrambler too. The only minor issue was that the salt dispenser was low on salt, so it was primarily just the rice at the bottom to keep the salt from binding together. Overall, this was a great first experience outside of events. Even though it was packed, the servers were on point to check things along the way. It was only towards the end where I didn't get a chance to catch them about the salt shaker, but I did let them know when we were headed out. Prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food you get, and there was no surcharge if you use a card of some sort instead of cash to pay. If you're looking for a great locally owned breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in that area of the city, this place is worth checking out.
