On 3-21-26 first time experience. I really enjoyed the pizza. It was filling and the cheese was…read moregood. Would go again. Down side: There was burnt pieces of cheese which was probably left in the oven on my pizza and in the box. Which appear that the oven was not cleaned prior to putting my pizza in oven.

I want to address some of the negative reviews: I've eaten at Shelly's at least fifty times…read more It's a style of pizza you will probably only find in Pittsburgh... so choose NOT to compare it to "what you're used to"... second: tell them "how you like your pizza" (underdone, done just right, well-done)... they will oblige! This is a small business and YELP reviews make a difference. Be kind if the pizza isn't what you've "expected" Again, you won't find this style outside of the Pittsburgh area... understand your icons! Third: toppings are not methodically distributed like Dominoes: so the plus side is you often get "more" ... just because there's 10 pieces of pepperoni on one slice and four on another is part of the fun!! Shelly's never gets enough credit because Turtle Creek is off the beaten 'burgh.... Let's support this great iconic Pittsburgh restaurant!!!! One of my biggest regrets moving away from Pittsburgh is moving away from the greatest hidden pizza gems in America... yes I love Pepe's and John's of Bleecker, I love Malnatis and Gino's East... but you can take a Pittsburgh Pizza boy out of the city... you just can't take Pittsburgh Pizza outta the boy!

I've been coming into Pittsburgh every now and then for almost 50 years. I first ate at Vincent's…read morePizza Park on Ardmore in the 1970s. The first time I tasted this unique pizza with unique crust, sauce, pepperoni and sausage I was hooked. The mushrooms, onions and peppers are cut properly and flavor the supreme pizza perfectly. The large pie probably outweighs the competitors pies three-fold. One or two cuts is more than enough for a meal, making the beautiful huge pizza a great value. Sadly, Vinnie passed away years ago, but, credit the family with keeping things the way Vinnie would want. Well done. Can't wait to get back to have another. Thanks for your hard work and attention to detail.

I was always wary of Vincent's because I was told the grease was outrageous, and honestly, it was greasy but not nearly as bad as I was "preparing" for. The toppings were generous and the pizza was delicious! I ordered takeout (they are cash only - FYI) and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I did eat it a little later after it had cooled and I think that was the right move because I was able to eat it just fine with a fork and knife. Now that I know what I was missing I will definitely be back soon!
