In November, Tina, the owner, sent out an email saying she would be open for a couple hours that day. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. Fast forward to this past Saturday (December) and they opened up their store front again for a couple hours. They used to have regular hours, but COVID has curbed that. I stopped in and was greeted by Tina and her husband who are so warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. I was able to get a fresh out of the oven blueberry muffin, chocolate chip cookies and pizza roll. I also purchased some frozen items including Russian black bagels, a loaf of rye, and vegan rolls. The chocolate chip cookie was amazing, the pizza roll was delicious and the blueberry muffin was out of this world. The breads and baked goods are moist, not crumbly and absolutely delicious. They don't have that gluten free bread taste that sometimes occurs with gluten free items. Sign up for their emails, so you know when they have pop-up hours.

I met with the owner and she was quite pleasant and easy to get along with. She was very knowledgeable about food, and was very forthcoming with suggestions of what might help, and why in the kitchen. I've been very involved in the gluten free industry on and off for a great many years, and this bakery knows how to do gluten free well. I'm hoping to see her pizza crusts make it into the pizza chains at some point. There is a large variety of items available, ranging from sweet to savoury. I decided to pick up a couple small items - cookies, triple chocolate (who doesn't love chocolate right?) and carrot cake that had an excellent cream cheese frosting (I love that stuff!). The carrot cake was so moist and flavourful. I really enjoyed it. The cookies were crisp and worked nicely with warm tea. They weren't too sweet which is something I often find happens with many gluten free baked goods.
