The restaurant kinda reminds me of an upscale version of cheddars/Applebee's. We started off with the dip trio appetizer, which comes with bean dip, salsa, and cheese dip, but you can substitute any of these dips out for spinach dip! Went on March 22, 2018. Calamari that I ordered was pretty good and so were the fish tacos (as well as the shrimp gumbo), but one of the reasons why I came here was to buy someone a steak. Steak doesn't seem to be their forte, unfortunately. The steak was ordered medium well done, and what was brought out was medium rare at best (i.e. bloody). They must have been understaffed, because it took so long to get the attention of a waitress that by the time we got the steak back we were done and ready to leave. The fact that we could hear another party behind us complain of precisely the same issue (an under-cooked steak) leads me to believe this is not an uncommon problem. Even worse, when we got home we discovered that it was still under-cooked (for the level of doneness that was requested). This is not a bad place. I've visited twice for lunch (although, I didn't order steak on the second visit). I found the experience decent both times. I'm not sure if there are better fish tacos in the area, and the calamari is pretty great. Bummer about the steak though. I have to add that I'm not a particular fan of the harsh, glaring outdoor light that is allowed to beam, unfiltered, through the gigantic window on the south side of the building. I realize this would not be an issue at night, but I have visited this restaurant twice for lunch, and each time I have to deal with the almost blinding glare of sunlight beating down on everything around me. Firstly, let me start with 2 words...fish tacos!! And as a guy who loves seafood I have become a little picky when it comes to my favorite food. I can honestly say in my entire LIFE I cannot remember having eaten a better fish taco. It is made with catfish instead of talapia (+1 star) they subbed lettuce for the cabbage as a special request (+1 star) and the seasoning was out of this world (+1 star). I also had the crab and shrimp dip which was outstanding (+2 stars) and to top it off, wait, I'm out of stars. No matter I'll make my own rating system. Dana at the bar is worthy of her own rating anyways (+5 stars). So on a scale of 1 to 5...this place rates a 10!! Thanks for a wonderful lunch. read more

The food was wonderful! I had the 7 oz. sirloin with a baked potato and a side salad. The salad was to die for! My date and I split the three dip starter and it was wonderful as well. I don't recommend the sweet tea, and definitely call to make a reservation because the wait was long for how early we arrived. read more

Well...not that good. Service was okay. Food not spectacular at all...better food at most bars I've been too. Springfield has a problem with eateries. This place doesn't solve that problem. Coming back from Branson and was looking for something without a theme. Found this place on yelp with good reviews. Glad we did. This place is clean, good service, not very loud with a full restaurant, great prices, and with all of that the food was outstanding. My family is picky and like to switch the side items quite regularly. We were accommodated with no hesitation. Bus boys were on top of their game keeping everything in order. So so. We like to try new places when traveling and this one was not really a hit and not a complete miss. We had a great waitress and one of us had steak (overcooked) the other had the seafood trio and that was really good. I am hard to please on salmon and I loved the cedar plank salmon and if you want excellent service, ask for Jack.

Solid place to eat. Not the best but definitely edible. I know that's not one would want to hear on a review with 3 but around this area, there is not much to chose from. I have a seasoned palette. Not impressed if you are a plain Jane, this may suit you. read more

Service was fine. I expected this place to be better in food options. Not very many. The chicken I had was the tenders and shrimp and the shrimp was fine; however the chicken was real dry. The venue was nice and fairly lit. I do not think I would go back and try the same dish. read more

Food is good, I would compare the menu to Cheddars. Service was a little lacking with our particular waitress but the other waiter and manager picked up the slack. If you've ever eaten at Fish Daddy's it's the same thing. We will be coming back. read more

When you first walk in, the ambiance and upscale feel of the environment makes you initially cringe at what you're sure is going to be a sizable hit to the pocketbook. Then, you sit down into one of their comfortable chairs, look at the one page menu, see an average price of around $11, and realize your night just got a whole lot better. In truth, we found ourselves trying to pull the thick menu apart, surely expecting there to be more then just the few short options available, but alas, they only have minimal selections of steak, ribs, chicken and seafood. But what then do have, they do amazingly well. Quality over quantity is the name of the game at FD's for sure. And the quality is fantastic. The great atmosphere, coupled with great service and amazing food, and all of this at a price that didn't have me with instant buyers remorse at the end?! We ended up here on our way to caves from Branson. We wanted the Texas Road House but they were closed. It looks fancy when you walked in so we were a bit underdressed, even for lunch, but as we were leaving more vacationers we're coming in so it was fine. 7 of us (3 kids) ate lunches and had two appetizers. All of the food was great! The firecracker shrimp was delish! The kids portion of pasta was enough to feed two adult people (we would have had two share if we had known). The calamari was light and crunchy. We are from Chicago where lunch for 7 people at a decent restaurant could get pricey, but we all ate for under $80 (including 2 apps). Not worth your time or money. Got the lemon pepper Chicken breast. It tasted like it came out of the freezer section of a grocery store and then just dipped in salt. Kids burger came out raw had to send it back, and service was like a 2 out of 10. read more

Our small group from church met at FD's for food and fellowship. We had 27 people so expected the food to come a little slow. It was not. The service was excellent, the waitress, Taylor, was awesome. Everyone left commenting on how pleased they were with both the food and atmosphere. So far on our previous visits, we've tried the salmon and fried catfish...both excellent but the fish tacos today were the best I've eaten. I would recommend this place without reservation. The service here was great, Joanna helped us and she took care of everything in a timely manner and was super friendly. Even once I was taking my time with dessert and my wine I realized I was holding up one of her tables and apologized. I said I would hurry and get out of her way and she insisted that I wasn't a bother and to "please take your time and enjoy your meal". The menu was healthy for the most part and very affordable. The only thing I could really complain about was the only steak option is sirloin. This place was a surprise for sure, clean spacious dining room with a separate area for seating in the bar. This place fills up quick, and defiantly has a following. It can get a little loud when full, just about every surface is hard and flat, nothing to absorb the sound from a busy dining room. One thing I did find interesting, the music, its all 80's, all hail the gen x 'ers. I was sitting there and it was song after song straight out of the 80's. Food, its good, plentiful and inexpensively priced, great formula they have going. The gumbo is packed full with some spicy kick and the fish tacos are huge, more like a fish taco wrap. Ribs are fall off the bone good, literally they fall right off the bone, man they are good. The portion to price ratio is defiantly in the diners favor here and the food quality is on the high side for sure. Like I said this place gets busy at peak dining hours so, get there a little early or late and you should be fine. The servers are friendly and very helpful if you are having trouble picking from the extensive menu. If you are out southwest in town give this hidden gem a try, it's tucked back behind Famous Dave's BBQ. Just take the road by the convince store and follow it around to the back side by the new housing development. read more

The sirloin was tough and overcooked and the French fries were undercooked. The broccoli was very good and service was good.

Love this place! Great seafood and a fair price. Hard to fine these days.
