We've dropped into fate brewing a few times and tried a variety of food. My biggest complaint is the seating is incredibly uncomfortable, particularly at the bench and stool seating. Ample parking is wonderful, though. The food is solid, service can be a little hit or miss depending on how busy they are. I really enjoyed the cornbread and the eggplant dip. Stopped in on a Friday for a happy hour with some friends celebrating a going away party. This location apparently was a new location in Phoenix. The ambience and service was nice. The waiter attentive and managed to get everyone drink and food orders out in a timely manner. Great place to visit for amazing food and beverages. I ordered the spicy margarita, extra spicy and was very disappointed as there was absolutely no spiciness to it at all. It tasted like a regular margarita. The hatch chili beer was very good with the taste of chilies. I had the drunken chicken with sweet potato fries. The chicken was lightly battered in tempura and cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful meat with ranch and cilantro jalapeño sauces to dip into. The fries were plentiful and good. The fried chicken sandwich was also tempura battered and piled high with avocado (added) cheese, lettuce and onion. This was delicious and cooked perfectly as well. I love this spot. It is good for groups, couples, and singles. Spacious and lively. There was a live band when I visited on a Thursday evening. The food is good and it doesn't take long for it to arrive at the table. Several beers are on tap. Accessible parking and entrance. read more

Tried Fate brewing last night. It's such a large, open space...plenty of room for large parties. Great selection of local, craft beer. Tried the pretzel and corn fritter appetizers. Pretzel with cheese is aaaaamazing, light, fluffy and the cheese is like a queso - with a bit of spice! Corn fritters were like a cornbread muffin - good too but a lot of bread for an appetizer. We tried the hatch green chili burger and Reuben sandwich. Upgraded to sweet potato fries (normally served with chips). Delicious but a little greasy on the Reuben. Service was just okay - our waitress almost seemed bothered that we weren't ready to order yet. Could def kick up the customer service a bit. I came in with my family on a Saturday evening, was not too crowded at about 530PM. I had ordered the ahi salad which was very refreshing. Although I wish there was more Ahi and less dressing as it did get a bit soggy. My kids ordered the wings and guac for appetizers which were big hits. They had the original burger and the fish and chips. The fish I tried, and it was malty and crispy. I would recommend to ask for lemon wedges and/or some malt vinegar to go with it in the future. My sister had the smoked chipotle ribs which I found to be rather unflattering. The meat was a little overdone and the sauce was very thick and overpowered the flavor of the pork. I can't remember the name, but it came in like a cognac glass, it felt like, you know, a bit too expensive for 3-5 oz of beer. Ribs were incredible as well as the burger. However the Gluten Free pizza was massively under cooked with something I would never say about a pizza. He asked what kind of beer Ie as wanting to taste and brought me the house best first - False Promises Hazy IPA! Every single taster he brought me was unique and flavorful in its own right! The draft selection is AWESOME! and they do rotate seasonally so stouts and porters to come in the fall! Mondays they have $10 12-inch gourmet pizzas and they are delicious! Everything was clean and when i used the restroom, it could have been me and my excitement about my experience but the hand soap smelled like banana taffy! Loved it! Overall I give Fate a 10! Hi I went to eat at Fate Brewery because a friend said it was great food. I could have given the place a 5 star if not for all the Flies and Nats. We constantly had to wave them off our food. We told the Waitress Bethany and she said there was nothing they could do because ALL the restaurants were having the same problem. Really? I ate at another restaurant last night and there wasn't a Fly around. I loved the the chicken salad, one of my friends said there was too much batter on her fish. So much that the fish was dry and her fries were salty. I think my other friends Jazz pizza had too many flies and nats landing on her pizza she could not enjoy it. We three were constantly waving off the flies and nats away. My bill was $78.00 and believe me it was not that good. Get some BUG ZAPPERS. IMPROVE the batter(not so thick) and, keep the FLIES and NATS OUT of the restaurant. The Nacho plate was pretty good if not for those pesky bugs landing on our food Constantly. read more

I come here regularly for group events. Every time I've been here it has been a great experience. There is tons of free parking. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe with lots of outdoor space with table games which is great for kids and dogs. The food is elevated bar fare. It's always been tasty. The nachos and the Reuben are my go-tos. They also have a killer loaded potato soup. I'm not a beer drinker but they have a decent wine list. The best part about this place is the service! I don't know who does their training or if they have some magic eye for new hires, but EVERYONE is fantastic! I've had interactions with most of the servers, bar tenders and management and you won't find a better team of people. Our group has different needs and requests depending on our event and each time we have been met with friendly accommodation and flexibility. It is a pleasure to support this place. I don't know how this has 4.5 stars. I went today and ordered a pizza. The dough wasn't cooked. It was raw all the way to the crust. There was no sauce on it and they used a cheese that wasn't a real Mozzarella. It's not stringy and it's more clear. Just mush in your mouth. We come here pretty regularly ever since finding it last year. Fate Brewing has a great beer selection. The Czech Pilsner (add lime) is my go to for Happy Hour. The food is great here as well (you can't beat $10 pizza Mondays!) and the place is always very clean. What keeps us coming back is the warm and personalized service. Pretty average considering the great space and location. I made the mistake of ordering a cocktail at a brewery, but not a huge fan of craft beer. This place wouldn't have been my personal choice, but we were there for a birthday. The margarita was okay, but it's Arizona, so it wasn't anything to get excited about. We ordered an item of the brunch menu and off the regular menu. To start, the brunch item was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was not at all flaky and buttery, plus way too dense. Almost like if a flourless chocolate torte was a biscuit...if that makes any sense lol. The sausage gravy was average, but nothing special. The potatoes on the side were nice and crispy, but the egg had clearly broken when they went to fry it and they went with it anyway which resulted in an over-cooked egg. We also shared the fish and chips. The fish was cooked to a nice, crispy finish. The slaw was actually tasty as well which isn't the case everywhere. Fries were kind of soggy. Our server seemed very disinterested in our experience and frequently came, grabbed a quick drink order from someone from our 10 top, and then would run away as fast as she could before looking to see if anyone else needed a drink refresh. For a Sunday brunch this place was virtually empty, but it's also Summer. I'm sure this place crushes it during snow bird season as it's probably great for sports and they had a nice patio. But the true great places, are the ones busy in Phoenix, even during the hot summer months. read more

Wow. Everything about this place can be summed up in one word. We came late on a Wednesday and everyone was still very kind and helpful. Our server was helpful and quick. The cider and beer were great. I could have eaten the kids pizza and been very happy, but I got the chicken club and could have eaten 2 because it was so good. The fries and ranch were stellar.
