Pizza, Caesar Salad, Garlic Knots !!!!!

We had the best experience thanks to our server, Phil! From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Phil went above and beyond the entire time--super knowledgeable, quick, and genuinely kind. Our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfectly, and he made us feel so taken care of. Phil was amazing, incredible, awesome... honestly all of the above. Easily a 10/10! If you come here, definitely ask for Phil. He made our night! LOVE YOU PHIL

Pizza with feta, basil, and Italian sausage.

Had a big slice of Pizza with feta, basil, and Italian sausage. It was a very big slice but I felt like it could of been better. The undercarriage was a little floppy and wish it was a little more firm on the crust. I will come back for sure. The service was the best part. Our server made sure to take care of us at all times. The ambiance of the place was nice and felt very laid back and almost mid century.

If you need to feed a group, the 26" pizza is just the thing. We had some out of town guests visiting and had taken them walking about Golden. We all were hungry so we headed into Fat Sully's for some sustenance. The service is always spot on here. The staff is welcoming and give good recommendations. This happen to be a Friday so the crowd was decent, but we were seated in short order. Our friends loved the décor, especially the neon cowboy on the wall. We ordered the 26" pizza for the table. It was enough to feed all six of us with some left over to take home. You would think making something that big it might not come out right, but their methods are solid and the pizza is always done to perfection. It made for a great end to our afternoon in Golden.

Huge pizza. Made to order pies and slices. Come hungry. Drinks are really good. Family friendly.

A solid huge slice for a cheap price!! Not many options but if you're craving a huge thin slice this will 100% hit the spot.

The wait at Woodys was way too long so we tried the new place... it did not disappoint! From the excellent service from Cora, to the delicious pizza and burger, to the ridiculous dessert, we had a great time. We will be back for sure!

Maximizing seating versus floor space. The noise level seems average-to-above-average. Probably because the seating is more cramped than spacious. The salad bar has basic options, not too elaborate and the bar itself is definitely on the smaller side. The pizza window is super small for being a "buffet" ... either wait or rub elbows with others. And to get plates, you have to wait for the server to bring them as they do not place plates at the pizza window. The beer cheese soup is good. Add some croutons and it's fairly decent. No like super wow factor, just good. Speaking of waiting... it took about 10 minutes from being seated before we received menus to look at or to even be asked what drinks we wanted. All while several staff were standing around doing nothing but talking. And then wait for the drinks to come and wait and wait. Then feel rushed to make an order. And they are in no hurry to bring plates to be able to go get food. And you are not allowed to reuse plates. So don't be in any hurry to eat. The biggest benefit is IF you can get a place to park, if you are in the super tight and small parking lot (fee-paid parking ONLY) they will give a validation for a very specific time frame for the lot. So you either have to plan to eat fast and get out or plan to still pay for parking. And waiting for the server will definitely cut into the time you have for the limited parking validation they offer. The biggest drawback? Well remember the advice for not going to eat there when there are flying bugs? Well on our visit there were at least a few dozen flies in the pizza prep/cook/serving area. All over the ceiling, the walls, the pizza oven, the pizza racks where they had pizzas waiting, and the pizza serving area. It was nauseating. It was so chilling and disgusting that I got ill from seeing it and literally couldn't even eat anything and had to leave. Now when it comes to service and customer support/satisfaction, they did make it right. They wiped the bill except for certain items we had consumed from the back kitchen where they said they didn't have the same fly issue. They made it right in that regard. And they offered us to return for a free dinner in the future (suggested to come after the freezing weather to avoid flies in the food). They apologized heartily and were understanding about my concerns. The frustrating part at the end was that they had no idea how to mitigate the fly issues in the food prep and serving area... guess they were not aware of the available options for pest control in restaurants and kitchens. I did appreciate their response to the situation. It was a fair and proper way to handle the situation. That is why they got two stars over only one. Would I go back? Not likely. I might consider it in the dead of winter to avoid having bugs in or on my food. But I am not sold on the idea of going back after this experience.

I love huckleberry and will always get it if available and this did not lead me astray. We started with crab dip which was a hit even with our baby. For the mains, my husband got the meatloaf platter and was obsessed. I had their specialty burger (a mix of beef and elk) that included arugula, goat cheese, jam and some onions - also top notch. To finish things off we got chocolate raspberry cheesecake and... Wow. Delectable. If it's not obvious, the food here is epic and I love the concept and theme. My son had the barbecue wings and they were very good. They had been smoked instead of just thrown in the fryer which was a nice touch. The blue cheese chips were really good as were the fish and chips. We had it with cod. Oh my goodness Yum next time my way to give the cheese ball a skip because it just wasn't my thing, but I knew that going in my husband wanted to try it though

I wish we had been there closer to lunchtime, because we would have had more food. Everything was delicious. Our group of 6 had a variety of food. We started with a throw-back appetizer- potato skins. These were well made with crisp bottoms (so they weren't flabby) and came with a very spicy green chili sauce on the side. These burger was fresh and juicy. The brisket sandwich came with more meat than the diner was expecting, so she took about half home. Mac and cheese with brisket was also an ample portion, with creamy cheese and plenty brisket. My wife and I split a Reuben. When I bit into it, I immediately knew the corned beef was made in-house. I'm not a small man, but I was glad I split the sandwich with my wife - it was a lot of food. We also had a side of onion rings, which were obviously freshly made and with a crisp crust, but the onion inside was supple and not at all greasy. Service was exemplary, with friendly staff and just the right amount of attention. Ambiance is as a rustic sports pub with elevated food. Great selection of beer, including an assortment of local brew on tap. Nice wine selection and interesting cocktails. I hope I get back there. There were many items I still wanted to try.

Everyone can be on their own tab and choose from a variety of food spots, and you can self-serve beer on tap, pre-mixed cocktails on tap, or soda from the fountain. Happy hour prices are great if you stop by at the right time (I believe it's mid-afternoon on weekdays). A pint of Coors was around $2.80, and all the food spots have discounted happy hour items too. We took advantage and ordered the Hurricane chicken wings from Republik of Chicken, which were tasty in an Asian-inspired sauce and great to share for the table. On a previous visit I had the Hurricane spicy chicken sandwich (from the same food stall) which I didn't find spicy, but it was overall quite yummy. This time I ordered a tuna poke bowl from Sushi Sora upstairs, a classic build-your-own poke bowl setup. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bowl and the tuna, especially since we're in Colorado. It paired quite well with the wings we ordered for the table. Others I've been with have ordered from the BBQ place and the taco place, and had ice cream, and everyone has loved their orders. Overall, great spot with a great vibe. It's a great place to bring visitors or to stop by if you're in the area and want to enjoy some good weather, with plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor.

At first, I thought the house queso was a little too spicy for my taste, but it quickly grew on me--I couldn't stop dipping chips into it! It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The guacamole and salsa were also fresh and tasty. The Corn and Butternut Enchiladas were good, though not quite as memorable. I ordered mine with regular cheese instead of the vegan option. The patio was comfortable, and the location made for an enjoyable lunch stop.
