We really wanted to like this place but their food just didn't meet our expectations. We went on a Friday night around 7:30pm right before a huge crowd came in right after us so we thought that was a good sign. The employee that took our order was friendly and patient as we decided what to order. My husband got the Fat Shack sandwich and it was mostly French fries, with one mozzarella stick, some cheesesteak, one big chicken tender and no jalapeño poppers or onion rings. It was also drenched in their honey mustard sauce and he said that all he could taste was mustard. He ended up throwing most of it away. I ordered the single patty burger with bacon which was ok. Could have probably used a little more of their sauce but it didn't look anything like the picture on their menu. The only thing we really liked were their onion rings. This was the best sandwich I've had in my entire life. I got the Fat Bronco--chicken fingers, cheese sticks, french fries, and marinara. The marinara is perfect, as is the chicken. We also got some fried Oreos and a fried Twinkie. I've never had either of these, so I don't have a comparison, but this is by far the best dessert I've had. The chocolate in the Oreo was like cake, and the cream in the Twinkie was melted heaven. We will definitely be back, not too often, though; my waistline couldn't take it. read more

This review is based on tonight's experience. The food has always been good, I'd rather pickup than have it delivered though. Everyone has always been friendly and nice and we usually order on Sunday's. However, tonight was an exception that's completely turned me off :( called to place my order and the guy was rude, short, and acted like I was interrupting something and he had something better to do. I know it's Sunday night football but I knew exactly what I was ordering so it wasn't time consuming at all. When my husband went to pick up the food the staff was again quite rude. I know you guys were busy but how hard is it to be polite to your customers? Don't act like we are annoying you when we are paying repeat customers. I absolutely love Fat Shack and everything about it. I got my first sandwich from the location on University but this one is close to my house (though sadly they don't deliver to me and it breaks my heart but my waist line is grateful) so this is where I go. I can't even fathom getting a sandwich at another shop. I have never had a bad sandwich here. My favorite is a fat doobie. I don't care if you think you hate honey mustard - you don't. Get it on the sandwich you will love it. They always let me add an extra piece of chicken to my sandwich for my daughter to eat. I've never made it all the way through the whole regular sandwich as there is so much on it. Chicken strips, Fries, Onion Rings, and Mozzarella Sticks. It's so good. You can only eat one every so often or you just might have a heart attack but the staff is so awesome. They are even known to sing along - loudly- to the radio. Delivery time was spot on what they said or I'd give only 1 star, we ordered the fat chance and it prolly would be good if you where drunk with the munchies , we also ordered the onion rings that where soggy and greasy , the wings where just weird is all I can think to say , soggy and fatty. The Fat Shack in Thornton - WOW! This was our first visit and we loved it! The wings were crisply, sandwiches were filled, and the burger was very fresh! This place is exactly what you would expect from looking at the menu. Funky creations to please the late night crowd. The house specialties are their fat sandwiches, and the title doesn't lie..these sandwiches will make you fat! However, this is the point to this place. Their motto is, "Late night done right." Catering to the late night crowd is a task not many delivery restaurants do, but, at the same time not many restaurants offer sandwiches with Philly cheesesteak, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, fries, and honey mustard. Their dessert menu offers deep fried treats covered with powdered sugar, or if you don't see something that will satisfy a craving, they will deep fry anything you bring in for $1! The fried rice Krispy treats were obnoxiously rich and delicious! The delivery we ordered was a little slow, but I expected that from a place that has been open for less than a month. Wife and kids wanted burgers and I wanted something besides your traditional fast food burger. So I figured I would give this place a shot and stopped in for takeout. It was about 6:30pm on Saturday and the place was completely empty. All four employees seemed to be standing there waiting for something to do. I ordered two double burgers, one single burger and a kids chicken fingers meal. I figure, place is empty, I should be in and out no problem. I grabbed a seat in their dining area and waited and waited and waited. As I waited I could here phone orders being taken so I know my order was not the only order they were preparing but my order was the first order. About twenty minutes into the wait I heard one of them say that they could not find a ticket but I did not think anything of it. Almost forgot to mention, one of the kids in the back is a very talented and loud belcher as he displayed his skills at least three or four times well I was there. About 10 minutes later " The Belcher" came out and said that my order was done but my ticket was the one they had lost and they did not know what was on my order. No big deal, I told him what my order was and he brought my food out. When I got to my car I checked the order and the food was already cold. Probably because it sat in their kitchen well they tried to figure out what I ordered. The food looked delicious but eating it cold just ruined it. Well I was waiting 30 minutes for my food I did happen to read an article they have on the wall about the founder and a co-owner of The Fat Shack. Pretty inspring article. I guess both were 27 yrs old when the article was published. I know they have more then this location and they can't oversee all locations all the time. It's just a shame that you can work so hard to accomplish so much at a young age and you have employees that are there just to collect a paycheck and couldn't care less about something you put your blood, sweat and tears into. read more

Food was 'bar food'. It was not horrible I MAY try another location. Can't expect too much too late though I would expect the same respect. My fiancée and I went with some friends of ours. They got they're food though missing 3/6 deep fried Oreos. The people that order directly after us were eating before we got our food. Order was wrong. I was missing my 'toppings' although stated just no onions. I ordered a shake. I had to ask for my shake and the bag for my leftovers. somehow my this happened to the only colored people here. The food is decent. I've ordered delivery as well as in-store a few times. My gripe has to do with my most recent delivery. Their website prompts you to tip before actually receiving the order. I tipped generously. It took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive, which was 25 minutes after the promised time. When the driver arrived, she asked if I paid online. I suppose I could have ordered and not paid. I didn't receive a receipt. She offered no apology or reason for being so late. The food was cold. I don't recommend ordering from this store. read more

I had a friend in town this past weekend and decided to give Fat Shack another try. The service was much better and the food came out much faster. My friend wanted make some changes to her sandwich and the staff was able to accommodate her. Our food came out at in a reasonable amount of time even with 3 other orders placed before ours. The portions are generous and a large sandwich can be easily turned into 2 meals or be shared among 2 people. It could have been that the staff had an off night when I was in previously but the service was much better this time around. read more
