We came to order dinner (to-go) it was on our way home. We ordered a plain burger for our pup, too! There is a person in drive thru lane, assists you placing your detailed order, skip using machine (yay!) and drive up to ordering window to pay. Even though, we ordered two combos and two extra burgers came out $27! Its more cost-effective than let's say Chik-Fi-La. I can't speak of ambience, since it's a drive through, lol! Decided to give In-N-Out a try to see how it compares to Whataburger and Shake shack. Good sign is how busy it is.This location definitely draws a crowd. The restaurant lobby is bright and clean. I had a double cheeseburger and fries. It was a good burger. The fries were just ok. Overall a good visit and i would definitely return. Not sure i think it is better than the Shake Shack or Whataburger but definitely gives them a run for their money. After coming to In N Out for a while now, I can finally say I have a go-to order and the fries are actually very delicious if you order it correctly. For me, the bread doesn't add anything to a burger so replacing with lettuce has been easier on my stomach and I don't feel bloated afterwards. This order was inspired from TikTok. My go to order: 3x1 protein style, whole grilled onions, chopped chilis, and spread. Sometimes I'll order a 3x1 protein animal style. Order fries light well! Emphasis on the light well!! This is a good enough burger and the fries come out crispy like other places. Because they use fresh potatoes and make it as you order, by default, the fries are cooked light. So when you ask for light well, they cook it a little longer. You may wait longer for your order but it's worth it because the fries are delicious. As far as location, service is friendly and you can usually find a table by the time you get your order. During lunch, there's a rush and the drive through lines are long. read more

Always a must stop whenever we're in Colorado! Food is just as good and consistent as I remember! Inside can be a bit hectic with out busy it can be but with enough patience you should be able to grab a table! The double cheeseburger is still just as good as I remember as was the animal style fries (get it well done to reduce the sogginess!). The banana peppers are just as fresh as before and goes great with the food! Prices are still reasonable for 2 burgers (1 double, 1 single), 2 fries (1 regular, 1 animal style) and 2 small drinks for ~$22! (Even cheaper if you don't get the animal style fries!). This line moved steadily. We got in the drive thru and they have two employees under an umbrella handling two cars at a time. After your order is placed you move on to the payment window and then pick up. On this visit, we all got Double Double's animal style, standard fries and drinks. I had unsweetened iced tea while the other two had pink lemonade. They asked if we would be dining in our car to which we replied yes. This is a nice touch, instead of putting everything in a bag, our burgers were in a carrier, the fries were together in a box, we were given place mats, napkins, and a carrier for our drinks. Today was my first time visiting the In&Out Burger in Ft. Collins. I've eaten at many In&Outs in AZ and CA and the food was great but today's food was well below a great experience. I got the food to go but if I had been eating it there I would have taken it back. I got a cheeseburger, fries and chocolate shake. The only thing that was good was the shake which is the only reason why I gave 2 stars. The burger bun was burnt and hard as a rock, so I thought I would at least eat the burger to get a little protein. Unfortunately, the burger was so salty that it also wasn't edible. The fries needed to be cooked more. While I like that In&Out uses all things fresh, living in CO at a higher altitude we all know that it takes a bit longer to cook things then it does at lower altitudes, including potatoes. Come on In&Out, you can do much better than this. With so many people working there one would think they would have better quality control. read more

The place is almost always busy and the car line was very long. I ate inside and recieved my order in about 10 minutes. Nothing bad to ever say about In-N-Out Burger. They just need more of them. I'm from California and go to In-N-Out all the time, but this was my first time visiting the Denver location. Incredibly fast to get through this drive-thru, even with probably 30 cars in front of me. Our order was spot on except they forgot the chop Chili's on one out of five of our burgers. Everything else that we ordered special was perfect... Like crispy fries and animal style and how we wanted our shakes,. Staff was great here as well. Super friendly and helpful. I tried in-N-out burger way back in 2000 in San Jose in California. I thought pretty highly of it then. I have been avoiding fast food chains for a good while now but decided I had to give in-N-out another try. I thought why wouldn't this location in Thornton be just as good as the one in San Jose? I was wrong. Burger was just okay, My wife didn't seem to mind the burger but the fries, LOL it says fresh fries on the tray but these tasted like and looked like they had previously been frozen and of course undercooked. Then there was the way everything was put in the bag, looked like a hand grenade went off in there. Fries everywhere and burgers looking jostled. We didn't jostle things around and even made a point not to disturb the bag. It was just put in there like hey things can look like they were in a paint shaker. So, would I go back, maybe if that was the only chance I would eat, yeah I suppose I would. Too bad that this location just doesn't measure up to the great meal I had in San Jose turn of the century. The only for sure plus is that the workers there were organized and chopping through the long line (the long line had me thinking I was getting something worth while). Despite so many cars they were courteous, fast and got the order right and got me the right order after 20 cars. I have to hand it to the workers there, you guys kept it going smooth. California transplants and other fans of In-N-Out will no doubt find this location to their liking. It looks and feels just like every In-N-Out I've previously been to. Since all Colorado locations are quite a drive from our home, this was our first visit. Just my daughter and I. She ordered the basic double-double + fries. I ordered only fries. No drinks. Total cost, just under $9, a deal these days. We opted for dine-in and managed to snag a just-vacated table, the only available. It was after 2, though and other tables started to open up as we ate. If you're trying to avoid crowds, perhaps around 3 on a mid-week afternoon is a good time to come. For me, fries were just okay.
