Had a great corn dog here! Big hot dog fan, usually go with traditional but feeling hungry. The batter tasted very crispy and sweet, like a honey bread. The chili dog with white onions is as close to an east coast chili dog that I know of in boulder ( i know its not the same but its as close as you get here). It's small and older with no real parking available but if you're from Chicago and crave a Chicago style hot dog or Italian Beef then you definitely found the right place. Was in the area for the Boulder Creek Festival. I have eaten here before but really didn't know they served Italian beef. I got the large and was in a food coma afterwards. LOL. The manager was great and chatted us up on all things Chicago. The prices are on point compared to other food establishments in the area. I went to Mustards Last Stand when in Boulder recently. I ordered 2 dogs with ketchup, mustard and onion, small fries and a medium drink. The dogs were hot with the right amount of condiments with a good poppy seed bun. Hot fresh fries and a good drink. Small place that was packed around noon. The price was $22 for the meal which I thought was a little high for the meal which reduced the rating one star. read more

Damn good Italian beef sandwich. Hot giardenia was perfect. Oh my gosh did I use more napkins than I ever thought! I have only been to Chicago once, and that was for the pizza. I have acquired a love for Italian Beef sandwich from Portillo's in Arizona. It's even better here, and I was able to pick it up hot after ordering online. Fries were also awesome, and I am picky with fries. I pretty much only order them if I am trying out a new place, or if I know they are good. A bit reminiscent of those at 5 Guys, but not as greasy. Just the right level of greasy lol! The young man and woman behind the counter were so nice that I was caught off guard. This is a no frills hot dog/burger stand in the center of Boulder with a fairly decent variety to pick from, including nice vegetarian hot dog and chili options. I got just a regular Chicago style dog w/ some french fries. The price is decent, but the hot dog itself was just okay to me. I liked the toppings they used, and it was really flavorful, but the dog itself wasn't my favorite, seemed kind of like a regular dog that you can buy at the grocery store. Went here this evening for dinner with my family and the place was filthy. Then I caught the 18% tip applied on my card I definitely did not authorize. They claimed their credit card machine automatically does this so beware of that. I definitely would not recommend using a card here. I told my husband I have to run to the bathroom and the employee jumped up and ran in to it before me and then holed himself in there for 25 minutes. I went into the secondary bathroom and found urine all over the place and there was urine filled in the urinal that smelled like a bum had been living in there. I asked the employee for assistance and they didn't even bother to clean it up! Also no clean tables today, I guess cleanliness is not their too priority here, so wonder where else they are cutting corners maybe the food area is unsanitary also. Neither is courteousness a priority here. I can't justify ever coming here again it's gone way downhill and nothing what is use to be. Ordering online works great, ordering in person is a little harder but they do have a window. The soy dog is better than most; that's usually the core of my order.
