This was my last meal in the Denver area, and it was definitely one of the best! I parked about a block away and my son and I walked down. Mike greeted us and we chatted for a bit while I was ordering my dogs. I went with a Buffalo Bratwurst and an Elk Bratwurst, both with mustard and onions. They were absolutely delicious! The elk was nice and spicy, and the buffalo was nice and meaty! My son and I alternated between each sausage and loved every bite! Mike came and checked on us and wanted to know how we liked them. I went looking for Freddie's because I was jonesing for a bratwurst. He's pretty easy to find on the Pearl Street Mall, across the street from the Ben & Jerry's store. This time I got the pork bratwurst, based on reviews, I may try the elk brat next time. Mike is very nice, and turns out he only lives a few streets from me. This hot dog stand is a standout for sure. It's not your run of the mill hot dog stand. They have special dogs for such as Elk (has jalapeño and cheese blended inside), pork brat, all beef, turkey, Buffalo and veggie. They also have local speciality chips and an assortment of sodas. We elected for the elk dogs and omg they were delicious. The added jalapeños and cheese blend along with pickles and chilli, made for a really naughty, messy and yummy treat.
