This place gets my order right maybe 50% of the time. You ask for specific topping and somehow they screw it up. You tell the guy at the cash register exactly what you want, he repeats it to you and when you get your order home the screwed it up. How can they screw something so simple up so often. It's got me thinking about what else they screw up on like proper food handling. read more

This Five Guys was a another one of my classic stops for dinner on my way home from work while living in Boulder. The burgers here are always quality, great chuck. And they always get you right with the fries. The staff here is great, super friendly and helpful. The ambiance of this Five Guys is pretty's standard nothing to complain or get excited about. One other thing I love about Five Guys is that they have many other good choices unlike other burger places. read more

Waited almost 20 minutes for a milkshake and they didn't start making it until I asked. Really frustrating considering the fact that I just ordered a milkshake and it wasn't busy read more

Longest wait on our orders, they had about 3 guys back in the kitchen and 1 guys just uselessly wiping down tables instead of helping with pushing out orders. The place looks cheap and gives dirty, and the employees are rude. Don't recommend. I added a photo of ALL the ppl waiting on their orders. Do better. Hire better people. read more

Love their burgers and fries. Always consistently good! Their service is quick, and the quality is great for the price. read more

Ooh baby! I was driving past their parking lot and got lured in by the smell. Oh my. There are few things as satisfying as a grilled burger and fresh fries. I had a little cheese burger and little fries but the portion is by no means small. I love that the burgers are made to order, and certainly don't mind waiting five or seven minutes for that to happen. Right now there's no indoor dining but there are outdoor tables in the sun, with a view of the mountains. Aces!! read more

My friend got a burger and fries, the food was great and came out quickly. We also asked if the brussel sprouts were any good and they gave us a free sample. So nice! read more

After a busy day, we decided to get takeout, and burgers and fries sounded like just the thing to feed our stomachs and our souls that are moving from summer break and going back to work/school. The burgers were hot, delicious and made just as we ordered when we got home and unwrapped them. There wasn't a bite left and I love that my family who all enjoy burgers a different way can get exactly what they want! I say mushrooms and fresh jalapenos are the way to go! The fries, of course, were fabulous though we couldn't eat all of them even getting a small order. They were hot and yummy! This is the first time we ordered a chocolate shake, and the texture was perfect but the chocolate was quite syrupy. I'm sure this is just the way some people like it. I really wanted to write this review because the person who got our food to us in the takeout line was great! I didn't catch his name but I watched him deal with some customers who were a bit impatient and he never reacted to that. He remained friendly, professional and service oriented doing whatever was asked (or demanded) of him to make the customer happy. Our family doesn't eat burgers often but once in awhile we just have to have one, and we always know that we will get just what we want, it will be hot and fresh, and tasty if we go to Five Guys. Thanks for being solid! read more

Staying at the Marriott in boulder and craving a burger at 9:00pm. Hotel staff recommended a quick walk across Arapahoe. Saw the five guys sign and was drawn like a moth to flame. What a great burger. Double cheese with the works. Cooked to perfection. The fries are scrumptious. The staff was awesome. They really enjoy serving the best burger!! Free WiFi!! read more

Don't waste your time or money. Came here at 5pm and waited over 25 minutes for a simple cheeseburger and fries. My burger was left sitting on the counter for 20 minutes and I watched a worker reheat the fries by grabbing a handful and tossing them back into a fry basket and into the frier. The fries were chewy and tasted stale and my burger was soggy from sitting for so long. Oh not to mention the little cup of fries was upside down and contained less than 20 French fries. Very disappointed because I have loved five guys for years but now will be considering other options. read more

Since it's just another chain, I'm going to review the service. Obviously worth he rating I have given, I'd say they were great! Sometimes it's nice to just find a greasy joint to visit while in Boulder. I was tired of all the vegan restaurants and wanted something unhealthy for the day. The guys here were very friendly. I ordered a regular hamburger and the regular fries. There's malt vinegar off to the side for the condiments. My burger was made medium and was still juicy. The restaurant was kept tidy. Just felt bad for them, right after they wiped everything down, a lazy individual was getting ketchup and didn't bother placing the cup properly underneath the spout. She kept pushing the handle down and 1/4 of the ketchup made it into the cup and the other 3/4 on to the counter. She continued doing this until the cup was full. Didn't bother to clean her mess up and one of the Five Guys employee came over to clean it up immediately (with no anger). Overall, it's another chain burger place, but they hired some great peeps to run it! Keep it up! read more

So, called today (Veterans Day) to see what specials they were offering Veterans. "Sorry " the voice on the phone said. Maybe you can get a watered down soft drink free with the purchase of a $15 burger. Hmmmm, I certainly will NEVER darken the doorway of 5 guys, or recommend anyone else to dine there. I will however give a shout out to my fellow veterans for serving this great country. read more

Great fries and burgers! I ordered mine bunless and had a mess, but it was so good! The French fries are probably the best I have ever had. They are fresh cut in the restaurant, super yummy. The staff was very kind, and you could tell they were all very customer oriented. Clean restrooms are a plus when you are eating out, especially fast food. read more

We've been to this one a few times and had nothing but good experiences. The food is always made pretty quickly and is hot, fresh and delicious! The restaurant always looks clean, the staff is friendly and they are always well stocked of napkins, ketchup, etc read more

I like how generous Five Guys is with its French fries. And my daughter was happy with the milkshake. But $10 for their skimpy single patty cheeseburger felt wrong. It's a thin little burger and $10 is just too much. It's not grass fed or organic so...? Nothing premium about this burger. Knocking off 2 stars because, forgive me, it's the meat of the matter. Service was solid and I liked the vibe. read more

Asked for some vinegar to go with my fry's after patiently waiting 20-25 mins for my food was told they were making it. Tens minutes later they ask me if there is anything else I'm waiting on besides the vinegar. Nope just the vinegar! Finally just walked out after no acknowledgement, Felt like I was bothering them and the bathroom had no soap or paper towels... Food was food service sucked. read more

I truly do love 5 Guys, best burger you can get. Their also pretty accomidating if you don't want a bun they will toss everything you need in a bowl. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. Their menu is simple and easy to read, and the prices are straight forward. Oh and if you buy the fries, get them CAJUN STYLE! read more

Classic, American-Style burgers and Hot dogs! Fast food at its finest. The Shakes top it all off.

I've never been disappointed with this restaurant, as they consistently provide a truly good burger experience along with plus-sized portions, a roomy seating area, ample parking, and solid customer service that's genuine. Love their burgers, made exactly as you request, with plenty of options for any type of burger want. Thoroughly enjoyed my bacon burger! Really love their grilled hot dogs too! Their fries are simply awesome, perfectly cooked, big order size, and I enjoy that their food is always cooked to order. Drink machine has so many options. I'm a big fan of these franchises across North America, and this Boulder location is my favorite. read more

This is a good store with old-timey hamburgers. Order-taking is quick. The store is always clean. The burgers are cooked when you order, not before. You get your choice of any combination of a lot of toppings. They always give you more fries than you ordered. This location is in the 29th Street Mall and there is lots of nearby parking. Tip: the regular burgers and fries are huge, so order the "Little Hamburger" or "Little Cheeseburger" and "Little Fries" instead; they are reasonably-sized. The main drawback here is the price. At my most recent visit I ordered a litle cheeseburger, little fries, and regular drink, total $14.37. This is not ridiculously high, but it does seem like a lot for what is essentially drive-in food. read more

The burger places are piling up around here and I needed to sort them out and pick my favs. Somehow, I had never gotten around to Five Guys, so I gave them a try tonight. They moved right up into my top 3. One of my main issues with burgers is that I really don't want lettuce, tomato and especially not mayo on my burger. And that is so easy here. It is an "addition" toppings menu rather than a "subtraction"option like so many places. And I love grilled onions, never eat them raw. Perfect! they will do that. So a single burger, cheese, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms on a soft fresh bun. I'm happy. But what made me even happier? They made my order of fries without the salt. Cheerfully and unquestioning. And they are fresh cut, skin on fries. And some decent drinks beyond the soda venue, 4 kinds of iced tea. The staff was friendly and efficient and the place was bright and clean. And even with Trader Joe's now moved in on the other side of the parking lot, there was still close in spaces to Five Guys. Nice in bad weather. I will be back. read more

It was ok. I wanted to LURVE this place based on my friends' reviews', but here's how it really went: All my friends said "you have to try five guys, they have great burgers!!"" But really I was unimpressed, and generally disappointed. time: roughly 1PM on a Monday greeting: absolutely friendly. nice conversation, understood what I wanted. burger: took about 10 minutes. That's OK with me. I'll wait for a good burger. And from what all my friends have told me, this is a 'GOOD BURGER'. burger: ordered a regular cheeseburger with LTOP, ketchup and mustard. No problems here. $13 for a cheeseburger, regular fries, and regular drink. That's ridiculous. I should have gone to a real restaurant for that price. burger: fell apart promptly. I tried to use a fork to keep things in order, but even that didn't work. Bun and MEAT was extremely 'grindy'. Can we talk about how they use American cheese for their 'cheeseburgers'? I wish I had known that in advance. For one, I don't want to pay extra, and second I don't want artificial plastic in my lunch. I wish they used Cheddar, I would pay for that. fries COULD HAVE been delicious- should have had an extra 30 seconds in the fryer, but you could tell they were fresh fries. price: for a cheeseburger (note cheese is actually american cheese, gross), paid over overall: don't bother. super expensive for mediocre quality. Bring a fork if you really want to eat. EDIT: I'd like to note how incredibly friendly the staff is here. Think of Chick-fil-a but they're open on Sunday. Very impressive. read more

Love their burgers! Quality can vary from location to location, but the Five Guys in Boulder is pretty good. I've been there when they aren't busy, so i don't know if the quality goes down in a crowd. But the times I've been here, it's been consistently good for me, the burgers are always yummy, generous with the toppings, and generally not too long a wait. I will keep going to Five Guys as much as I can. Best burger I've had from a fast/casual place. read more

My opinion but Five Guys is the best burger chain. The burger I created is called the "Nice Guy" cheese bacon burger, bbq sauce, mayo, grilled onions and lettuce. Always get the Cajun fries and eat as many peanuts as you can. Top it all off with a milkshake to go and you're a happy camper. P.s. if you're feeling risky order a large Cajun fry and sneak them into the movies. Who knew French fries are better than popcorn while watching a movie read more

First time trying and I was not disappointed. Everything comes out hot and fresh. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Highly recommend!

I love the burgers and fries here. The cheese is too creamy for me, but the burger flavor is so good I don't miss it. The fries are the perfect amount of crispy! read more

What can you say about Five Guys.. They make a great burger that is filled with lots of gooey goodness. I tried this place in the early 2000's back East and have been very happy with that fact that they have expanded out into the west. I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the food at Five Guys. They're my favorite burger restaurant in Boulder. If you'd like french fries this is the place to go, and their burgers are amazing as well. They give double the amount of french fries in the order so always enough, you definitely feel like you're getting your moneys worth plus some extra. Fries were pretty good, but way too expensive. They're potatoes folks, they shouldn't cost $4-5! Burgers were ok. But $7! Maybe it was grass-fed beef. That would account for the high price. Damage - $20 for two burger and ONE fry - no drinks (had water). It was in a nice area and the weather was nice so we ate outdoors and had a nice view of the mountains. Food wasn't nice nor the price. read more

Last time I came here I had a cheeseburger and small fries and while delicious, it made me sick to my stomach for hours after. This time I came and had small fries and a chocolate shake with Oreo cookies mixed in. The fries were awesome as always but the shake wasnt very chocolatey and tasted like the pre-made mix. The upside was I could taste the Oreo cookies and there were plenty mixed in :) read more

Pretty terrible food, never again. Burger wasn't good. Smash burger on the other side of the mall is much better. Fries were almost entirely grease and not in a tasty way. I'm not sure I could even eat those when I'm high and I occasionally eat things I'm allergic to when high. I'm all for clogging arteries, but only if I get something from it, like food that tastes good or at least isn't... this. read more

To most of Boulder: This is a MURICA burger. It is not a craft burger that costs $15 on the mall. It's 80 percent beef, 20 percent FAT. Sweet succulent animal fat. If it makes you sick, that's because your refined pallet can't take standard MURICA fare. It is delicious, fattening and"bad" for you. Be sure to get the double patties. If that's not for you, go eat at The Kitchen. read more

Usually a great place have rarely had an issue. Today my husband and I ordered shakes from here due to our favorite shake place. They were super runny and wrong order but attached our order to it. not even whip cream like we ordered. They nice crew person went to fix the correct order for us and the rude manager told us not their problem and to accept what we got. Also this manager squirted one tab of whip cream in a lid slid cross the counter and told us to get out. read more

I have been to several Five Guys and this one was the most expensive one by far. I'm used to paying about $10 for a cheeseburger, fries, and drink combo, but when I stepped in this Five Guys I found out there was no longer a combo menu... I ended up spending about $18 for my meal, which is ridiculous. I know it's Boulder, but this is way too much for a fast food joint. If I had known a burger, fries, and drink would cost close to $20, I would have just gone to a sit-down restaurant. Overall, the food was a little soggy, though it was still pretty good. Fries were the best part, and they loaded me up with plenty of them. They have one of those big coca cola brand soda machines that has virtually every soda imaginable. I probably won't be coming back to this specific Five Guys just because of the price. read more
