WAAY overpriced! $22 got me 4 small slices of mediocre barbecue and mac and cheese. Terrible value for money!

Hired Donna Merter with FED (Boulder) for my Easter Day Luncheon. 18 adults/5 young children. I…read morespecifically asked for "Elegant. classy & memorable". Donna said " I am very good at what I do, you are going to love it, I will handle everything!" Not. Very, very expensive. Her hair & attire were sloppy. No food for children, appetizers (tasty while hot) were served on oven trays. The entree was mediocre, I later found a lot of food in the trash bin, dessert served in paper hotdog boats, & she actually brought cheap, white paper napkins. I hate writing bad reviews & realize what a negative impact they can have on a business. I was embarrassed, and weeks later still sad...

Now that's a breakfast burrito…read more Sure, it'll cost you $9 but they're open and honest about the deal. For that price, you're getting quite the burrito. We're talking five eggs before they add all the other stuff. Multiple meat options and I can only imagine the size of the tortilla itself before it's rolled around everything. I thoroughly enjoyed my burrito. I had just come back from a long hike but I'm pretty sure I would've liked this one no matter my appetite. The only difference is, I was able to eat this monster in one sitting, along with a beer. The people at the counter and in the truck's kitchen were friendly and I'd definitely recommend getting something here if you have the chance. I found them on a sunny weekend at Rayback.

Great place to take a break and watch the World Cup while strolling Pearl street in Boulder…read more Wasn't too hungry, so just had the wings, which were excellent. Server was attentive and checked on me regularly. Definitely a good spot on Pearl.

My husband and I stopped by West End Tavern while visiting Boulder, and honestly, we were excited…read more Walking in, the atmosphere was exactly what you'd hope for--beautiful woodwork, an Irish pub feel, and what looked like an endless selection of whiskey and bourbon. It felt like the kind of place you'd want to spend an afternoon. The real standout was RJ behind the bar. He was welcoming, personable, and genuinely fun to talk to. His smoked Old Fashioned was fantastic and easily the highlight of our visit. In fact, we'd absolutely come back just to grab a drink and chat with him. Unfortunately, the food told a completely different story. We ordered the fish and chips, and it was one of the most disappointing versions of the dish I've ever had. The fish tasted like it had been cooked in oil that desperately needed to be changed. It was dark, overly greasy, and had that unmistakable burnt-oil flavor that overpowered everything else. Instead of light and crispy, it was heavy and saturated with grease. The fries somehow tasted more like fish than the fish itself, which was...impressive, just not in the way anyone hopes for. Then came the coleslaw. Calling it "slaw" feels generous. It was mostly dry kale with almost no dressing. If someone had told me it was meant to start a campfire, I would've believed them. It was so dry it could've doubled as kindling. The meal was disappointing enough that we decided not to order anything else, which was a shame because we had been looking forward to trying more of the menu. West End Tavern has all the ingredients to be a great spot--a beautiful space, an incredible whiskey selection, and a bartender who knows how to make guests feel welcome. I genuinely hope the kitchen takes another look at the fish and chips because, right now, it's doing the rest of the restaurant a disservice. Five stars for RJ and his smoked Old Fashioned. The fish and chips, though...let's just say the fryer deserved a vacation before we did.
