First, he did trouble shooting on internal phone wiring problem (static, dropped calls) that Comcast refused to deal with. He checked all the wiring and devices and found the problem (bad wires) and fixed it. Has been working great since then. Given how well he did with the wiring issue, I asked Jhonata to tackle problems I was having with home WiFi. Some computers and printers/scanners were not being "recognized" on WiFi or were inconsistent. This was driving me nuts and made the WiFi next to useless for file sharing and printing. Jhonata did a deep dive on my systems and connections, even taking one computer to the B11 lab for analysis, scrubbing, and reinstallation of files and apps. He did not quit until he had diagnosed and resolved all the problems. He ended up installing a new mesh router and some new high-speed cables, and removing Norton 360, which was the source of many of the blocking issues. The computers, printers/scanners, and WiFi are working great, now. And the speed of the system is amazing. I cannot recommend B11 Tech Solutions enough. Jhonata is deeply knowledgeable about technology and just loves it. He pursues a problem until he finds a solution, no matter how complex. He is easy to work with and communicates clearly some pretty technical stuff. He included a description of the problems and solutions with the final invoice. Superb service!

We have used Peel Tech for years now and have had good experiences. But recently we had a very…read moresimple job that only took 15 minutes max and was charged a full hourly rate of $125, which seems quite unreasonable. We've had plumbers who have adjusted their fees down when the fix was so simple, but not Peel Tech. It was a total rip-off, although the problem was fixed. I do not recommend anybody using them without getting clear information on the fees that will be charged up front. Not customer focused in my opinion.

Scott showed up worked through the problems and also discovered that we had two routers and that they might be fighting with each other. So he set it up so that one router became the prime source and took the information on the other router from Comcast to see if it was out of date ETC. I got and email saying Comcast Router was current and let's just leave it along unless you have any additional problems. I could not be happer with the results from Peel Tech.

A little over a week ago, my cat decided to water test my laptop. Long story short, a glass of water spilled into (!) my laptop. The laptop sat immersed in this pool of water for nearly 20 hours. Everything was complete toast. Although most of my files are in the cloud, especially the most important ones, I decided there might be the occasional file or folder that I might not notice tomorrow or even a year from now. I decided it would be best to retrieve the contents of the drive on the laptop for peace of mind. I left the laptop with them to do an assessment first. That assessment was ~$80. After their assessment, they indicated that the contents of the drive were retrievable and gave me an estimate of $400 to retrieve the contents of the drive (the $80 would apply to that figure). I decided it was worth the cost, if for nothing more than that elusive peace of mind. I also needed a drive to put the contents on (or provide my own). Since I didn't have one, and didn't want to bother with purchasing a 3rd party drive, they charged me $140 for a Toshiba Portable Storage device. So, for about $600 (w/ tax) I got everything off the lost drive. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I go back? Hell yeah.

My comments had nothing to do with not being able to answer every call (they did answer mine) or not being able to accept my service request. My point was, and continues to be, that whoever answered my call was intentionally unhelpful. Martin knows exactly who Rain City is, and knew who I was looking for. When they first split off the retail business, they were going to keep the Progressive Tech name. Then, due to some issues between them, they had to change to Rain City. Martin apparently still harbors a grudge, hence he refuses to refer any retail business to them. An honest answer would have been, "Yes, the people who used to handle retail repairs here did start a new business on Lake City Way, you're looking for Rain City Tech." An honest response to my review would have been "Sorry we played dumb and pretended not to know what you were asking, we should have just given you Rain City's new name."

My frustration of having a very expensive PC came down to bringing it to a computer shop to get it fixed. The price was very reasonable, and the guy there was able to diagnose and fix everything all within a day. He got my computer working perfectly after a couple days of bashing my head into the wall trying to get the Windows OS up and running. Don't expect a big PC supermarket though. These guys are a local PC repair shop and it definitely shows. Their knowledge of their craft definitely helped me and they're worth a shot if you have computer problems.

I've recommended them to five of my clients that I set up, review, and train in QuickBooks and Quicken and several of my friends. The first was for help with setting up a wireless network for my laptop PC and devices to access. Bruce Miller, the owner showed me how to make sure that mine wasn't competing with the signal strength with other nearby networks. Which happened to be the case. What I learned from that experience I was able to use to set up my parents network. The second was when I mentioned to him a few months later how tired I was of seeing ads pushed to me on my computer. He showed me how to download and install a host file and reduced my annoying banner ads by 95%. The interesting thing was that my computer is now operating faster because it doesn't have all that ad cluttered bandwidth to process. I was also able to test this when I went to my parents in France and used their ancient Wireless G Apple network without the ads. A third time was when I was wanted to set up dedicated phone lines for my QuickBooks and Quicken set up, review, training, and troubleshooting business in Seattle. He told me about an affordable device on Amazon that uses the Internet, helped me buy it, sign up for a very inexpensive monthly charge ($1.49 a month and 2 cents? a minute, much less than having Century Link or Comcast), and configure the lines. Now when line 1 rings, I know it is from my Craig's List ads and for line 2, I know the call is from someone who saw my profile on Yelp (rhymes with whelp). Using these lines has improved my marketing. So when I have questions about upgrading my computers, networks, what to buy, and what to avoid, he is my reliable go to guy.

While I paid him $315 to update Windows 11 which was difficult because of my older hardware, it wasn't the initial reason for my call. My Outlook / Gmail issue was the reason I called which he never resolved. In the end, he shocked me by turning out to be terribly undependable. During his fix time, my all-important Address Book was lost and couldn't be found. I was eventually able to recover it myself and called him back to finish completing the setup. I left (5) voicemail messages to call me back, but he never did. (He had also told me he'd call me at 9am when he had to cancel our appt. When it got late and no call, I called him. He said he just woke up, that he'd call back in an hour because he needed his coffee first. He didn't think it would take long to fix. I had an appt that I ended up missing as I waited for him to call me back. Finally at 10:05am, and still waiting for his call, I ended up having to call him. It took him more time than he estimated and he never resolved the problem(s).) Finally I called NW Tech Expert and proceeded to leave them (3) messages explaining what happen and to please call me. I even asked on one message if Antonio was ok since I was surprised he never returned any of my calls. I've been waiting now for (3) days for them to call back and still nothing. It seemed they have both blown me off and I have no idea why. I believe you can now see that they are not trustworthy. Obviously if they find your task too difficult for them to solve, they'll easily abandon you without a word!
