Life Saver. I came in way late, needed a huge banner printed and business cards in 1 business day! Inder and Rosa helped me out big time and I will be forever grateful :) I'm not sure if I would have gotten all my materials in time without them. We needed a project poster printed for our zoning application and after calling three shops, we decided to use Fast Imaging. Their price was slightly less than the other two shops, but mostly they gave the impression that they knew exactly what I needed. Inder even called me back after hours to give me some additional info which reduced my turn around time. They had my electronic file on Tuesday morning and I was able to pickup up my 3' x 2' zoning poster printed directly on a durable board by Wednesday afternoon. I was looking for a place to do printing with no white boarder (full bleed) in color for a low cost. Everywhere I went, they either said they couldn't do it or that it would be about $2 per sheet. But when I came into this store on a whim, I met the owner who was incredibly nice. He said that he could do it for .39 cents per sheet! At first, I was a little skeptical of the quality since the price was significantly lower than most places, but after he did the test sheet, I was sold. He not only did an amazing job with the printing, but he also threw in nicer paper and the cutting of the edges for free! I'd definitely recommend this location for any college student on a budget. A friend and I came in because we needed to print spreads for the book we were designing. My book was going to be signature bind and there is a specific way of printing these pages. Not knowing how to set it up, I came to this place to ask if they knew how to do it. Inder helped me and I was impressed that he went out of his way to make sure I had the right thing. They don't usually have requests for this layout but Inder insisted to work with us. He printed a bunch of test copies and dedicated a lot of time to figuring it out. He gave me a good price for it and it was cheaper than the other printing places that I went to. Terrible customer service all the way around at all of their locations. I had work done at the alameda location but needed to get in touch with the owner Hinder and was told to call the Berkeley store. No phone number was given to me i had to obtain this info myself which is no problem just poor customer service and then when I call the Berkeley store the employees/owner are rude there as well. Below is a review yelp thought was not useful. Man do i disagree... I am extremely frustrated with Fast Imaging. They were recommended to me by a local business for a sign with table names and assignments for our wedding this coming weekend. We have gone back and forth way too many times on a proof for silly mistakes, like COMPLETELY mis-spelling my and my fiancé's names, even though I sent them via email where they could have simply copy/pasted the names. They somehow managed to get our last name correct, however, the next round of proofs had our last name spelled wrong!! The formatting has also been very odd--one group of names would be bolded, others not, then they keep "fixing" things and making other things incorrect. I'm very hopeful that the final product comes out ok and on time. GO ELSEWHERE! read more

Rose was really helpful in getting my files formatted correctly to be printed out and was patient with my fickle design specifications. The price was reasonable (I did some price shopping around the area and it was the best price I could find) and the service was very quick. I got all my material finished in two days. Not only does he know how to run his business, but he's also a wonderful person to talk to. And it doesn't hurt that his prices are so affordable compared to other printing services that I have looked for. It was a Friday morning and we needed our 2ft x 10ft banner by next Thursday. This review is several years overdue but nonetheless still worthy. On two different occasions, at two of the worst times of my life this business was there for me, making both situations a little easier. In 2014 I lost my grandmother. To cut cost of funeral expenses I took on the task of designing her obituary by myself- something I'd never done before. I did the best I could- Which unfortunately wasn't so great- and came to Fast Imaging to have them printed. The owner at the time, Inder, saw my work and wanted to help me out. He worked on the programs for several hours even staying over an hour after closing time to get it done. The programs came out beautiful and they weren't overly expensive. Unfortunately nine months later I found myself in the same predicament after losing my father unexpectedly. Again I went back to Fast Imaging and again received superb service. Inder even made me several obituaries that were a very high quality for free, which I was able to share with immediate family. I will never forget the kindness and efficiency of Fast Imaging that I received in some of my darkest hours. Every chance I get I recommend this place to everyone. read more

WOW! Are those guys fast! Emailed it in this morning and have 4 signs in hand at the end of the day! They did a bunch of magnetic signs and display signage last month for us. I dealt with Inder (the owner), and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I went with Fast Imaging because of all the reviews regarding speed and customer service, and I feel totally vindicated! I called in today about getting a banner printed up for this Friday. Inder answered my questions on the phone, and asked me to email in the file (a PDF) which I had. He called back to confirm that he had the sizing correct and let me know about a couple possible issues due to the file type. He was able to work around them, and get me my (black and white image, white background, which I assume had somethign to do with the speed) banner on the same day! I love that he made a point to try and address any potential issues before starting in on the work, and made sure he got in touch with me when it was done or if he needed to confirm a part of it. Five stars is not enough. When you have lots of time to spare, you choose a copy shop based on price. When you have no time to spare, you choose based on service. In either case this place is the BEST. I had a poster presentation on a Tuesday morning at 9:30am and I was still designing the poster on Monday at 5pm. I called Fast Imaging and Inder, the owner, came to my rescue. I emailed the poster to him at 2AM and he personally woke up at 6AM just to print it for me. These guys are super friendly, efficient, and helpful. It doesn't seem to matter who is there, they are all awesome. It's 5 cents a copy. They have internet-enabled computers and won't charge you to access your email for a document you want to print or copy at their store. (Another place I went charged me $2.50 just to get on the computer and download a file in 2 minutes!) I love it here. read more

Please do not be fooled with all the "raving reviews." This place is 3 stars at best. Yes this is a family business and yes the two guys who run this place try to be friendly, but their lame business tactics masked by a facade of fake sincerity is so discouraging. My experience (one experience but an experience nonetheless): I call in to ask about a print job (booklet) and I am greeted by a loud, cocky man who doesn't provide much help but simply ends the call short by stating how he "is a pro and has been doing this for many years" I walk in and again was greeted by the same cocky man who was sitting behind his giant computer monitor acting like he was the shizz. To fast forward, during my print job, he asked me how I wanted to trim my paper. Rather than following the dimensions I told him including the bleeds I've specified in the document, he gave me a piece of paper + pencil and told me to draw out my crop region. WTF? He then went on to guide me to choose my binding type, which the samples were dusty lying under a box he lifted up to show me. If that's not enough for you, at the end he started some random chitchat with his buddy and tried to "butter" me up with all these "supposed" discounts he was giving me....ohh give him the 15% student discount (even though I'm not a student? WTF) and subtract the first few pages out of his total...you know what subtract the service charge too.....and so on...this sounds great but honestly it sounded like nothing but BS to me. Additionally, during this whole time, he kept pushing me to rate them 5 stars on yelp, to check out how "great" they were on yelp, etc. Overall, at the end of the day, I felt like they were dishonest about their service, their ratings, their discounts, and their skills.
