Working with Artsy Geek is one of the best decisions I've ever made, no exaggeration. I worked with Artsy Geek to build out my business story and brand guidelines, including a "vocabulary," logo, color palette, and value statements. I get complimented all the time on my visual presentation, but more than just that the very act of going through Artsy Geek's brand and self exploration process was integral to my developing a strong business brand that's separate from but true to my personal self. I'm a realtor and I actually loathe self-marketing, so I wanted to work with Jen, Michael, and Becca to find a way to create a distinct professional brand that communicates who I am and what I offer without losing my entire life to what really should be a job with boundaries. Artsy Geek absolutely nailed it; they distilled everything I am and want to be professionally into a handful of core assets, and it legitimately changed how I approach my business. Worth every hour and dollar, they're so good at really hearing you and translating what you say into "product," and they're funny and smart and caring and generally great people to boot. Thank you so much for everything, I'll be back if and when I'm ready for new collateral or if I ever go in a new direction brand-wise! read more

As a solo entrepreneur, I've had to get by with doing a lot of things myself that I'm no expert in. Graphic design has been one of those things. I got by for a while making some simple stuff on my own, or hiring online gigs but nothing ever really looked polished and professional, and there was a noticeable lack of continuity. Since I started working with Artsy Geek, who really took the time to understand my brand, voice, customer, and vision, my whole brand identity has come to life! I've had eye-catching sidewalk and building signs made, luxe door hangers and postcards, clean and crisp print collateral, and outstanding social media graphics that all elevate my studio brand and reflect what my business represents. There's something that goes deeper for me than just having good-looking branding. Every time I see the work that Artsy Geek has done for me, it fills me with a sense of pride in my business and hope for its growth. I feel so confident when I'm able to leverage images that spark and communicate what I love most about my business. Having that attitude helps me stay in the mindset I need to be in as a small business owner. read more

As an event planner / event producer I have worked with many graphic designers on a variety of design projects (websites, postcards, business cards, you name it!). I've seen lots of BAD design work, and everything I've seen from Artsy Geek is really creative! Jennifer designed a website for one of my upcoming events and I was thrilled when I saw the end result. She was very patient and answered all of my 10000 questions :) I look forward to working with her again in the future. read more

I took an Advanced Twitter Workshop with Jennifer Heller and Artsy Geek's Social Media Strategist Aimee Johnson that I highly recommend. I know that they saved me hours of reading and research on my own by giving us newbies the basics and answering questions. In two weeks, I've grown my Twitter following to 190 and I know that I can easily grow it 50-100 followers a week using their tips and strategies. Also, the session was fun, and started and ended on time. read more

Jennifer is fabulous! She is creative, knowledgeable, and can translate your brand into a website that draws clients. We hired Jennifer and her team to design a brochure and develop a web platform for one of our online businesses. I give Jennifer and her team four stars for design. The style for the brochure and platform was spot on, less one star because the CSS for mobile platforms was not thoroughly tested. I had to hire another designer to fix the CSS errors on the site. I give Artsy Geek one star for programming. Our platform has been operational now for a little over a year. Since our launch, we've had to fix hundreds of lines of code to make the platform function as it was intended. This has caused us and our customers countless episodes of frustration, potentially hurting our business. If I had to redo this project, I would have hired a less-expensive designer for the brochure and the CSS. I would have hired a more experienced developer for the back end. If you're using Jennifer and her team for design work, you're probably ok. But I strongly recommend partnering with an experienced developer for anything programming related. read more

I sent a small project to Jennifer and Lindsay .... I was looking for a dynamic powerpoint presentation template and a very "finished" final document for an important meeting. Their bid was not cheap. The template really looked great. I would have given them 5 stars if they had pulled off the template and the final document in the timeline that we discussed and I planned for. I ended up in a stressful jam that made the experience not as great as I would have hoped. read more

I have so much appreciation and praise for Jennifer Heller and the Artsy Geek crew. They really helped us capture who we are, what we represent and how we should convey it online. I am the owner of a family law firm in Emeryville and initially reached out to AG because I liked their diverse portfolio and the fact that they are a local, female owned business. We interviewed several design firms but ultimately chose AG for the following reasons: (1) they were willing to work within our timeline; (2) rates were reasonable; (3) they understood and embodied what we love about the bay area community; and (4) they presented some before/after projects that were awesome. We were NOT letdown. They redesigned our logo, letterhead, business cards, website et al and have completed several projects with us since then. We are always receiving compliments on our stuff and I really attribute our new 'look and feel' to our increased business. If anything, we are more confident knowing that our materials and website really showcase who we are. read more

I would recommend Jennifer for your tech and design needs. She did good work for me and is fun to be around.
