My car had multiple damage, mostly dents, but also a broken passenger side rear view mirror and rear passenger side rear door handle. The estimate took only fifteen minutes, excellent, I was looking forward to doing business with them. The estimate for everything came out to approximately $5000. That was too much for us, so we asked to just have the mirror and door handle fixed. I have two little kids, so safety is especially important. They refused, saying that they had a reputation to uphold and could not partially fix the car. It was everything or nothing. Huh? Nice try but I'll go elsewhere thank you. read more

Thank you Farrish Auto Body! I was so worried about my little car after someone had backed into my front bumper at a gas pump. I called around and Chris was quick to write up an estimate and work with the other driver's insurance company. He knew just what to do, and everything was lined up from the repair date, the vehicle rental, negotiation for parts, and, finally, completion. I recently came here after someone hit my car in a parking lot! Having your car hit and needing work afterwards is never a fun experience. However, these people made the experience go as pleasant as can be! What was especially convenient is that the rental car people came right here. They have a close working relationship with them. So that made the process go so easy! My car was there for about a week. I was very happy with the final job! Everyone there is very nice and easy to work with. As for the cost, the person who hit my car ended up covering it through his insurance so it didn't cost me anything. But judging from the estimate, their prices seem consistent with what other auto body shops do. I definitely recommend them if you need an auto body shop in the Fairfax area! read more

My brand new 2014 Honda was sideswiped in a parking lot. As a result, the paint on the back bumper was torn off. I went to other body work shops to get estimates. However, every single place was overcharging me. The only material costs associated with the repair was labor to repaint the bumper, so many places quoted that the work would take 5 days. (Yeah right!) I was referred to fairfax auto body by a friend, and I wish I had gone straight there instead of wasting time to get estimates at other places. Fairfax auto body quoted a very reasonable price, and the job took only 2 and a half days. When I got my car back, it looked new again. I didn't have to use a rental car, but there was a customer ahead of me who requested a rental and, since the enterprise building is two blocks away, an enterprise associate was there before I could even pay and leave the lobby. So, that's a bonus if you'll need a rental car. read more

A scrape on the drivers-side rear wheel-well from a parking column was devastating to see on my six-month-old, black Infiniti G37 Convertible. I brought the car to Farrish Fairfax Auto Body on a recommendation from a friend. The staff at Farrish was friendly, explained exactly what needed to be done to my car, gave me a very accurate estimate, was able to accommodate my car for the work immediately and estimated a completion time of five days (one body shop said two-weeks!). Although I would have preferred to receive a continued update from the shop, they never seemed annoyed about my inquiries to see if the car was still on schedule. The car was completed on-time and the cost was exactly what was estimated. When I picked the car up there was a bit of confusion about a stone guard, however, this was remedied quickly. They did an excellent job on the repair! I would think the best compliment a body shop could receive is that you can't tell the car was ever damaged. I can honestly say this about their work! The bodywork is flawless, the paint work matches perfectly and the workers took excellent care of my vehicle. No miles were put on the vehicle, no mysterious marks or scratches, the car was cleaned for me while I awaited delivery and it looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Farrish Fairfax Auto Body! ****** addendum ****** One week, ONE WEEK!!! after the return of my once again perfect car some idiot in a grocery store parking lot decides to play target practice with my car using shopping carts. A dent to the passenger-side door, scratches to the side sill and scrapes and gouges to the passenger-side portion of the rear bumper. I was NOT happy to say the least. My only consolations? Calling the police and filing a police report for insurance purposes and knowing of a great auto body shop! I brought my car into Farrish Fairfax Auto Body without trepidation knowing that I was leaving it in capable hands. I picked the car up last night and it looks absolutely flawless once again. Happy with the work they did on my car. It looks great. A woman rear-ended me while I was stopped at a red light and damaged my trunk. Her insurance gave me suggestions for authorized body shops and that's how I ended up at Farrish. Prior to the rear-ending, another person had backed into the side of my car in a parking lot. That damage was only cosmetic, so I'd put off getting it fixed by several months. My trunk leaked after I was rear-ended. Farrish made sure they could fix the leak issue before proceeding with any other repairs. All was good. They fixed the new damage and the old and kept me aware of the process. The car looks great. The paint color matches beautifully, and they were aware of the unique characteristics of paint for the polymer sections of my car. I haven't given this business a dime, nor will I ever. I went in for an estimate on some damage to the passenger side rocker panel because they have a contract with my insurance company. Prior to that, I spoke with my boyfriend who has been a mechanic/car builder for 22 years and got my own estimate. The estimator, Oscar, at Farrish Fairfax was condescending and when I called my bf to verify what I was being told, Oscar looked at me like I was an idiot. When both my bf and I questioned his time estimate, Oscar rolled his eyes, made an exasperated sigh and gave me another look like both of us were idiots. He treated me like a stupid girl who doesn't know anything about cars. Big mistake since I've helped my father fix them since I was big enough to carry a wrench. The price estimate was fair and I've no complaints with that, but the time estimate was 2-5 days longer than a reasonable length of time. I was given an estimate of 28 hours of labor and even stretching it and doubling it to 7-8 days assuming that one technician wouldn't work on it full time, I was told it would take 9-14 days. What exactly was Oscar planning on doing with my car for the extra days? Aside from exhausting my rental car coverage that is... I won't pay anyone to treat me so dismissively. read more

Great repairs and great experience After being in a car accident it's a scramble to find a quality and affordable place to get your repairs done. My third time going to Fairfax Auto Body, and I can't say enough about them. Nobody is paying me for this review, I just thought you might like to experience the same service they give me. After a storm, my wife's Jeep needed the vents cleaned out and the rain gutter drains unplugged. They treated the car, replaced the padding under the carpet, and did a great job making sure it wouldn't leak again. My 4Runner had damage from a parking lot, and they not only put it together in record time (even after finding more damage than the initial assessment), but they touched up a few areas on my car and gave me a small bottle of the paint for future scrapes. Today, I dropped by because of an issue with a car-wash yanking my antenna out of the right-front quarter-panel. They put it back in, did some minor body work, and since I was a repeat customer...didn't charge me a dime. Those guys rock. George is a great manager, the front desk is staffed by very competent and helpful professionals, and overall they are friendly and quick to get right into the work. I would recommend them in any situation, and they worked really well with USAA for my insurance claim too. Great place to go to. read more

Avoid if you can---we purchased our car from Farrish and had a good experience but when we needed our front bumper repaired it was a terrible experience. Chris Thacker in the body shop became very hostile over the phone when we asked questions related to the return of parts-during our discussion he told us we should take our car somewhere else if we didn't like his answer. He told us he didn't need to explain anything to us--this is all before the repair was to be done and via phone. He then hung up on us. I called the dealership and ended up getting a call from Mike Graziano who was far more professional and willing to provide customer service. No customer should be treated the way Chris Thacker treated his customers. If you have a choice avoid the collision/auto body shop associated with Farrish. read more

Everyone from customer service when I dropped off my vehicle to the quality control manager, Kyle Murphy, calling and updating me through the whole process, and going over my entire repair when I picked my vehicle up. It looked like new! I had a couple hiccups due to State Farm dragging their feet but Fairfax Auto Body did everything in their power to speed up the process. They were great to deal with. I brought my car in for body work after an individual caused a collision. They were on the list of partner shops with the clients insurance. I chose them because I have a Durango RT so I figured if anyone would understand the emotional connection some of us have with our vehicles ot would be the body shop of the Dodge dealership. I have about 80 payments left on this car. I'm someone who cant deal with a scratch on his cell phone. I asked them what it would take to have my car as it was before the wreck...they said it would take filler...bondo type stuff on a car that I have had for a couple months...I told them I dont want filler...if you cant pull it out, bang it out replace the part. They wrote the estimate for repairs. I asked them to let me know what the difference would be to replace instead of repair. At first they just ignored my request. I asked again and this was their response: "being a location that works with USAA and also is currently handling the claim estimate. We wouldnt be able to provide that.." I'm the customer, right? It's my car that I still have to pay tens of thousands for, right? But the relationship that matters most with these guys is the one they have with the insurance company, not the one they have with you and not the one you have with your car. So much so they were refusing to even tell me the cost. So, if your car is just a way to get from point A to point B. If you arent driving a car that you're attached to, definitely go with these guys, I'm sure they will make it **look** like new. But if you are attached to your car, if you've named it, and you want it to be as close to where it was before it was wrecked you might want to go to another shop, one that understands that you are the customer and not the insurance company, because, how do you trust anything they have to say when the most important relationship to them is the one they have with the insurance company. read more

I went to get a quote. An old guy open the door for me and started talking to me without even introducing himself, so I never got his name. He was talking to me like a total smarty pants. I did not like his attitude, I was a woman who went there alone to get a quote, not to get my car fixed for free. He mistreated me with that silly attitude, not nice at all. And I wasn't even greeted in the entrance. I have never had an accident, someone else crashed my car and that person is paying for the repair. I never got a quote because the guy started saying with a dumbass attitude that I had to fix the whole thing because it's better. I asked, is it needed to fix the whole thing even though is not affecting the main function of the car? And he said with his tone "Why wouldn't you?". He could explain why his recommendation of fixing the whole thing. I am not his friend, I might look young compare to him, but I deserve some respect. If he is facing customers he could at least learn some manners and develop some customer service skills. I left the place and didn't even bother myself on getting a quote with you guys because my first impression of you guys is disgusting. Well, I see that this is my second Yelp to this great shop. In December 2014, my beautiful Camry was hit again from behind in a parking lot. I remembered my good experience the first time and chose Farrish Fairfax Auto Body this time. I requested them specifically to my Insurance Company who let me choose my shop. My Insurance Co, Geico, worked with Farrish and I had a week of car Rental, plus an excellent service by Farrish Fairfax. I drove off with a brand new bumper. All was well, until TODAY I noticed a big gash in my Bumper that was not there in the morning. Unfortunately, nobody claimed responsibility. In my anguish, I called Farrish Fairfax and spoke to Kevin Wynn, Manager. He asked me to come on down and he would check it himself. Before I knew it, Kevin drove it to the Body shop area, and drove back up with no gash in the Bumper. MAGIC OR JUST VERY HONEST AND CAPABLE PROFESSIONALS.
