Who doesn't love a good salad! Ordered two salads. However one of the salads were incorrect - probably my fault. Maybe!? The incorrect salad: I intended to order the Rancher salad and instead I received the Farmside. The Farmside salad is not something I would typically order. Apparently for good reason, it just wasn't my jam. Each individual component was good, but I didn't enjoy the combination. I will say the kale was exceptional - very tender. I liked the balsamic dressing also. Perhaps because I was really looking forward to trying the Rancher salad the experience fell short? I also had the salad dressing on the side, that may have altered the overall affect. The second salad was the Caesar salad. Everything was fresh. The quinoa was cooked well. Chicken tender and flavorful. Also, this salad has grilled chicken and I believe the Farmside salad has the SIGNATURE grilled chicken. Not sure if that has a significant impact. I ordered the Rancher bowl, and the other party I was with ordered a different bowl (I didn't catch the name), but all ingredients were fresh and delicious. Best salad I ever had! For all you salad haters, this place would change your mind. I had the Rancher with the cilantro lime dressing. Just amazing! The shredded kale was fresh and crisp. Might be overwhelming for first-timers so I recommend looking over the menu beforehand or taking a picture and seeing how ordering works for the the people ahead of you. Quick, professional service with healthy and flavorful options. I typically do a BYO salad - you go down the line and first select your green (can do 50/50), then grain(s) (believe you can select 2) and protein or roasted veggies, then 6 mix-in vegetable/crunchy toppings, then dressing. My favorite dressing is the jalapeno ranch - to all the folks complaining about not enough flavor, definitely encourage you to try this one!! I can on a work night hoping to get a good salad because I hadn't eaten all day. I was So disappointed at this place. It used to be my go to salad spot but I'm putting it last on my list. First, quicker is NOT necessarily better. They zoom through the line and toppings so fast I can hardly read what they have on the signs. Before I can walk the line my salad is at the cashier. Sheesh. Less greens more toppings. My salad was mainly greens and a spoonful of toppings and dare I ask for a bit more. That's an upcharge. For onions and cucumbers?? I paid .75 for a spoonful of onions and cucumbers on a veggie salad . So my veggie salad was 90% UNMASSAGED kale a spoonful of rice and a spoonful of overcooked onions and peppers. No one should be subjected to unmassaged kale. . And stop putting the small salad dressing containers inside the salad. Those containers have been TOUCHED by many folk and now you just throw it in my salad! ‍. Isn't that unsanitary. I asked for 2 salad dressings and they weren't even good. The honey ginger SOUNDED good but there was one problem- where was the GINGER? And the honey chipotle lacked...chipotle. I had to literally come home and doctor up this salad so it could be edible and delicious. I added some chickpeas, took out 1/2 the kale and added some spring mix and added some fresh veggies from my fridge free onions and cucumbers. Now you may ask why didn't you just make you a salad in the first place. Because that was the whole point - I didn't want to! That's why you go to restaurants. All I ask for is a decent salad. Well I guess Cava is it for a lil extra of the toppings, plenty of FREE dressings and a great green to veggie ratio. Farmside Kitchen is currently my last choice. After doing my pre-lunch research here on Yelp, I made the wise decision to get the Farmside bowl which had shredded kale, goat cheese, roasted sweet potatoes, grilled chicken, gala apples, brown rice and a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. So good! They let you pick the amount of dressing you want (a little, regular, or a lot) which was a different option. A limited beer selection is available. Love this spot for a light and fresh dinner that supports local farms! The store is modern and bright with lots of tables to sit and enjoy your meal. The process is similar to a Sweetgreen, so you can pick one of the pre-designed salads or go down the line and pick create your own. I had the root veggie salad and it was wonderful - lots of fresh kale, beautifully cooked vegetables that packed a miso punch, crunchy almonds on top, and a bold ginger dressing. You can pick between greens and grains plus 6 toppings and a dressing. Essentially, you end up with a tasty salad. Some of the toppings rotate with the seasons, so it's never gets boring to eat here. My favorite/go-to is a bowl with a mix of rice and argula, a mix of toppings, and the cilantro lime dressing. The best part is that they toss the salad for you, so the dressing is nicely coated throughout. Yum! To finish off your meal, I highly recommend taking them up on the offer for the free slice of sour dough bread and purchasing the juice. There's a fairly narrow set of salad choices, but they're all delicious, sounding and fresh. You can have a vegan salad or their signature chicken. They were a little heavy on the sauces, but they ask you. Do you want light medium or heavy? It's a fresh and tasty option for a quick meal and a good alternative to many fast food places. They do put the salads together extremely quickly, and it's a little tough to get customization, like extra toppings inserted into the process because they're moving so fast.
