Buffalo quesadillas with fries & drink
    Ashleigh F.

Manhattan Cafe is located in a shopping plaza with shared parking out front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were several tables located inside of the business when dining in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the opportunity to meet the owner and he was very friendly. The staff were also nice. I was greeted when I entered & placed my order at the counter. A short time later my food was brought to our table. I ordered the buffalo chicken quesadilla with fries and a fountain drink. My food was served hot and tasted good. My quesadillas were stuffed with chicken. My fries were seasoned well. My meal came with multiple sauces including sour cream and salsa. I would definitely order this meal again on my next visit.

It only took one visit for me to be hooked on this place. I saw the menu and reviews and was immediately intrigued- I also LOVE a good sandwich spot so I was excited to try. I got a chicken caesar wrap and also made a build your own sandwich for later. The chicken caesar wrap was SO good and actually one of my favorite caesar wraps I have had in the area. I'm not sure what sauce/dressing they used but whatever it was is sooo good and flavorful and completed the wrap. My build your own sandwich was also made perfectly and I enjoyed every bite. They gave me a free cookie for my first visit here and the cookie was also soft and yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The employees were friendly and there was plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I already know I will be a regular here based off this visit alone! I can't wait to try the paninis and other sandwich options.

Customer service is out of this world and to add to that, so is the food. We ordered to Turkey Cuban and BYO sandwich with a side of fries. All food was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and toasted! Fries are crispy and thin almost like McDonalds! Would absolutely recommend :)

Just ate lunch at Manhattan Cafe down the rode from where I work. This place is awesome! Reasonably priced, great variety, good portion size and staff were super friendly. They have a good sense of humor as well, which I appreciate. I'll be a regular for sure!

I enjoy going up to NYC and specifically lower Manhattan at least a few times a year so when a new location of this Manhattan Cafe opened up I was interested in making it a normal lunch stop. The staff has been great and really should be congratulated for being friendly and accommodating. The various sandwiches on the menu are pretty good for what they are, the staff plates them well and you can get in and out with your lunch quickly. Prices are in line or a little better considering the type of food and the area so no complaints there. As far as the decor it is clean and welcoming. Actual Manhattan doesn't have as much graffiti anymore (believe it or not) but it's fair share shows up and there's the Houston Bowery Wall in the east village which this restaurant interior reminds me of. Plus it has nods to lab work and things that are relatable in the triangle. As far as the menu not a lot here really sticks out as being strongly NYC themed. They have a prosciutto di parma which is Italian, fair enough for a NYC sandwich (Spelled "Prosciutto de Parma" on the menu). Possibly the slight misspelling may be if they are using typical prosciutto and not the actual parma ham? To me whatever they are using here isn't dry cured long, I'm pretty sure the di parma ham is actually aged almost twice as long as others. Also they have no pastrami on rye (yes I asked the staff) which is about as New York City a food as a dirty water dog or bagels with Iox. I think the staff continuing to be great is what will set this location apart as there's not a lot of walk-in foot traffic like downtown. If you're in the area it's a good spot to grab a lunch and I wish them nothing but the best!

Manhattan Cafe is serving up a variety of menu options that can, hopefully, satisfy everyone you are with. Create your own pasta at the pasta bar, your own salad from the salad bar or choose one of their sandwiches. I tried the smoked turkey & brie and enjoyed it. I'm glad that they have a second location in Morrisville now.

I was here visiting the area and trying to check out what NC had to offer and this place was right next to my airbnb. Solid spot but nothing jumped out to me as spectacular. Ambiance: 4/5 - Nothing really wowed me here but it was a solid place that had inviting decor. Price: 5/5 - Being from the northern VA area the prices here were fantastic and they had a lot of promos going on where they give free fries or a free drink. I felt they were very reasonable. Food: 3.5/5 - I had the tuna panini and it was a solid lunch to have. I've never had tuna in a panini so it was interesting but I do think that the texture of the tuna just didn't work for me in the panini thats all. Service: 5/5 - Fantastic service and everyone was super friendly here. Made me almost want to move to NC based on how nicely they treated me!

Cute sign greeting us as we entered the restaurant

Update: I appreciate an owner who takes the time to read reviews. I don't need the unsolicited advice on how to go about doing what I do going forward. That said, my review of Manhattan Cafe wasn't a bad review. 3 stars to me is average...sorta like a "meets expectations" in a performance review. To rate a 4 or 5 star, your food and service better be outstanding and memorable. The food was not to my personal taste but that doesn't mean others will feel the same. You have a great location and I'm sure being at RTP, you'll do well. I didn't think the food was outstanding nor did I think that of the service. End of story. This recently opened in RTP near the WalMart on 54. Being from NY, I was looking forward to a good sandwich from a place called Manhattan Cafe. The graffiti themed decor was pretty cool & there was lots of seating inside. Service was ok...it's quick serve so you order at the counter then pick up when called. Food-wise, it didn't do it for me. Both the Prosciutto de Parma panini & the Chicken with Fresh Mozzarella on ciabatta honestly would be much better as cold sandwiches. They were both lacking in flavor overall. Chicken is usually pretty neutral flavor wise unless well seasoned & when you add a neutral tasting cheese like mozzarella, you need something to give it a bigger punch. The pesto mayo was also bland & didn't add much to the taste. It needed a stronger basil flavor & maybe a vinaigrette to liven it up. Same with the prosciutto panini. Part of the beauty of prosciutto & fresh mozzarella is the texture. Heating it changes that completely & it didn't work for me in this case. The Turkey BLT on the other hand was pretty good. I'm sure business is great in this location due to the proximity of RTP but I probably won't be making a trip back.

    Chicken salad melt
    Joy C.

I had lunch here with my friend and we got to try a lot of different menu items, so let's get into some of my favorite bites: * The Chicken Salad Melt - Y'all the pita bread used for this panini melt is so soft and delicious, which paired perfectly with the chicken salad, bacon and cheese. Dipping it in the chipotle sauce was literally the cherry on top - hands down my favorite! * DTR Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was PACKED with sliced chicken and was topped with bacon, cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato. The bun was lowkey the star of the show - it was so soft and buttery. * Philly Cheesesteak - We were there on Philly Friday, so you know we had to try the cheesesteak. Now I will say that I'm not super picky about cheesesteaks like a lot of folks, so I thought it was flavorful and enjoyed it! It's important to note that Manhattan Cafe is a strictly a lunch spot! They are open from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday.

Okay sooo happy I just found a great new work lunch spot! I was so pleasantly surprised by this place! I love the cool ambiance and graffiti when you walk in. They did a great job with the space. The menu is extensive and has anything you could want in a lunch: soup, salad, sandwich! I opted for a cheeseburger and potato salad. The cheeseburger is like a smash burger with tons of cheese and a special spicy Mayo and it was heavenly. The potato salad was fantastic and exactly how I like it with a yellow mustard and Mayo base. I know it's called Manhattan cafe but the potato salad ranks up there with many southern style potato salads I've had at family reunions #iykyk! The cashiers were super friendly and the prices were good as well. I'll definitely be back.

Sandwich and soup were good. Staff friendly. Had been only open a few days when I asked. Graffiti style art lines the walls.

Both of them had an asterisk beside them saying they were spicy, imagine that. I got a full size chopped cheese which comes in a hoagie roll. It was delicious and nicely spicy. Perfect for lunch and dinner. The cold sandwich I got was the roast turkey. It was very tasty too, I'm almost tempted to say I liked it better. We were greeted upon entry and informed that we could choose where we sat and just to scan the table QR code when we were ready to order. We chose a high top and a server brought us water. The vibrant colors and decor gave off excellent vibes. I ordered the Karaage Bowl (on greens instead of rice AND all the sauces on the side) and a side order of seaweed salad. A server brought them to our table. It was not necessary for us to get up once we were seated. Everything was SO GOOD. Like, "I'm mad at myself for not coming here before" good. All of the sauces were amazing too. I ordered them on the side since I wasn't sure how I would like them all, but I think I'll leave them on next time. The "greens" were a mix of lettuce and cabbage. The side of seaweed salad for $2.50 seemed a little small when they brought it out but it was packed in there and was plenty. The server came around a couple of times to check on us and top off our water. We bussed our own trash. There was only one unisex bathroom that I saw. There seemed like a lot of takeout orders going out (it was a little separate from the dining area which was nice). There was also a lovely outdoor area that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good.
