    Greasy fries
    Kathleen K.

On the advice of the counter worker, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It was so overcooked with black pieces from the fryer attached to the bottom. I threw it away after 2 bites. The fries were so greasy and everything tasted like onion rings - they must share the same oil. Worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. FYI - you order at the counter inside the gas station and they have a small area where you can eat your food. You pay at the gas station cashier.

    Turkey burger and fries

So... I was not expecting this place to be in a Shell gas station... but this is the best "gas station" food I've had!!! I went on Yelp when I was heading to Eagan. I don't go there often so I wanted to see what was new I should visit. "Grab and go" was what I was looking for. Walked in and it was super cute! They had a nice seating area if you wanted to eat in and also they had many options for food. I ordered the turkey burger with cheese. I asked for no bacon and they assured me that it was duck bacon and not pork bacon in the patty. (They couldn't make without it). It also came with fries for only $9 and some change. Great value for what you get! The burger was flavorful and juicy. It was a shock! They also had pickled shallots and an herbed aioli that tasted like Greek seasonings. It was mouth watering. Great job on the food and service. It was slower, but I only waited around 5 minutes. Quick for turkey burger and fries. You go and pay at the gas counter. I would venture back!

    Brisket! Very tender and tasty

I wish I could give them an additional five points for this dank gas station brisket! So tender and delicious

I'm late to the party on this one, but this is seriously top-notch smoked meats, burgers, sandwiches, and even street tacos served from inside a gas station. Are you starting to see a trend with my love for gems hidden in gas stations? And the meats are smoked daily out back in a massive smoker--no joke! Chef Mik Germanhas for sure put some TLC into the quality here and I'm sure they'll continue to sling the same great items after his departure. I went with one of their newer sandwich offerings that looked like a beast. Check it. The Franklin ~ brisket, Mac & Cheese, smoked jalapeño, and Texas bbq sauce. **I'm not kidding with y'all when I say this is some of the best low and slow brisket I've had since living near Kansas City. This sammie slaps hard as hell!

Was flying into Minnesota to see family & since flight arrived @ 5:45am was looking for a breakfast place. Out of the 10 I bookmarked opted for this place for the reviews. Asian man was very nice & helpful & nice when ordering & even great when I went back to ask for salsa for oue burritos. Hispanic woman had an attitude & was rude. When she was calling out the order for pick up I went right up when I heard ours & said that it was mine. She looked at me kept calling out the order & I said it is mine again. Then with attitude says where's my receipt. Mind you I've watched all the other people (all men) be given their orders without a receipt being requested by her & with a smile. Would have been 4 star as the food was great but the horrible attitude & rudeness of the woman singling me out in front of other customers knocked it down 2 stars.

For a restaurant that is inside of a gas station this place far exceeded our expectations! We had been receiving coupons in the mail all summer for this place and finally decided to take a chance and order some take out. When we pulled up the restaurant and saw it was in a gas station we were instantly a little apprehensive, however, we still decided to press on knowing that we are generally pretty laid back people so how bad could it really be? We ordered a sandwich and a burger to go and man it went above and beyond what we were expecting. Both of our meals were full of flavor, cooked well, and at a pretty reasonable price point. We are looking forward to trying other items on the menu the next time we are in Eagan!

What they advertised their chicken sandwich looks like.

I've had decent food in the past here, but this was comically bad. My chicken sandwich was about the size and thickness of a pringles chip. The kids had a dried out hamburger. The cheese curds were solid, and I think they have me a larger order to try and distract me from the pathetic chicken sandwich.

    Monster burger with side salad

Solid and great value. Got the monster burger with a side salad for under $10. Brisket on top of a burger with onion rings.. sign me up. Brisket had great flavor and wasn't dry, rings were crispy and they don't over due it on the bbq sauce. Def will be coming here more.

I returned here today and ordered the Tennessee Brisket that I used to like. Attached is a photo of all the fat I needed to trim off the brisket. Where are the standards? Looks like they don't give a crap. Also son's order was supposed to be with fries but was chips. Luckily I looked inside box. Go elsewhere!!!!

Was in a rush, looking for a burger joint to go to around 9:30pm near burnsville. Went with this place because of the rating, but should've paid more attention to the reviews. It's a deli inside of a gas station. Once you make your order at the deli, you are given a receipt to take over to the store register to pay for, then you go back to the deli to wait for your food. They do have a lounge area for you to dine in, which looks nice. I ordered the fried chicken (2.5/5) with onion rings (4/5) on the side. The fried chicken was thoroughly cook but not evenly cooked. Some parts of the chicken was over fried, which made the meat very dry on the inside. The burger consisted of a handful of dill pickles, which was a bit more than enough and I did take some out. The onion rings was coated with a well flavored batter and deep fried well. They were probably the only high light of the meal. My son got the bacon cheese burger (2.5/5) with fries (2/5). The burger had a very sad, very thin slice of beef patty. The fries were flavorless, stale, and soggy. Not sure if it was due to the late night that the food turned out like this, but I probably wont be returning even if I was in the neighborhood.

    Chicken Tinga Bowl
    Lauren B.

Sitting here in Farmer's Grandson blissing out because I am eating a whole bowlful of Chicken Tinga over retried beans. No one has ever offered let alone served me an entire bowlful of chicken tinga, usually I have to settle for a couple of fabulous tacos. Not here--Farmer's Grandson made it up exactly as I requested. And it's wonderful. Ordered it spicy and it is. My son got Al Pastor Tacos and loved them, but he ate them so fast I couldn't get a picture. Happy customers.

Watermelon salad with grilled chicken was delicious as was the mad cow burger (3/4 lb!). The chicken sandwich on Texas toast was good but after eating half we realized it was still pink in the middle. Server (Amanda) was wonderful but overall we were disappointed that half of our food missed the mark. One last note - bartender was constantly adjusting her hair (she must have been hot), and then resumed making drinks (grabbing lime wedges etc, eek!). They should probably wear their hair back to keep their hands clean? Total bill came to $80ish.

The interior is modern and inviting, with some fun wallpaper making a statement. We cozied up to the bar during this visit. I will say that bar was a bit sloppy during our visit...bartenders' water bottles cluttering the visible space, bartenders spilling our drinks a bit during delivery, and weird transitions of staff that were a bit distracting. The Espresso Martini was the best item I ordered! Well balanced and the addition of the cold foam really made for an enjoyable sip. Would absolutely return for that one! The bites we ordered had great flavor, but some fell a bit flat when trying to live up to their creative ideas. The Fried Pickles were the best food item: perfectly crispy medallions with two delicious dipping sauces. The "burnt ends" cauliflower are really just roasted cauliflower with BBQ sauce on top, missing out on the umami juiciness of their namesake. The Chips that came with the Dip were just ruffled potato chips, not housemade or interesting. Solid spot for happy hour if you're looking in the area!

Very reasonable for the quality and vibe. We ordered the cauliflower burnt ends, fried pickles, and chips & dip. Everything came out flavorful and fresh. The cauliflower especially was a standout -- seasoned well with that perfect texture. The staff was helpful and very informative, which I always appreciate when trying a spot for the first time. The atmosphere gives after-work energy -- a place where you can unwind with coworkers or commune with family and friends. And the background tunes were on point. Happy Hour is getting a 4.5/5 from me. I'll definitely be back to keep this series going.

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.
