One of our family fav breakfast spots. Great for greasy comfort food, if you're into that. I highly recommend their country fried steak and eggs - the meat always has a crispy crunch and the country gravy is delicious. I also love their steak and eggs breakfasts; it's not the most tender steak, but still tasty and great value for the price. Ambiance is how you'd picture a local diner from the 1950's. My kids adore sitting at the counter, sitting on the vintage red spinning stools. Service was outstanding, despite the restaurant being so busy and full on a late Sunday morning. read more

Small restaurant but they turn tables quick! We got there at 10:30am on a Saturday and were worried when we saw a wait but only ended up having to wait about 15 minutes. Went to Junior's on a whim. I have had their breakfast burritos brought in to work before and they were great. Nice little cozy diner with the counter bar and some tables. A great no-nonsense breakfast joint. Their food is good, the service is snappy, and they have a huge menu to choose from. I'm a big fan of their veggie omelette and my friend likes the chicken fried steak, though it's sometimes a bit too greasy (not always the most consistent item to order but when it's good, it's GREAT). They get packed on weekends so you do have to come in preparing to wait or take your chances on a spot. The place only seats about 40 but it's a wonderful local spot. read more

Had one of the best burgers in a long time! I couldn't tell you how good it was...well...yes I can! I ordered the Kelly burger with crinkle fires. The Kelly comes with bacon, that is the main reason for eating ANY burger. The bacon was thick and juicy and not too salty...perfect. The burger was also hot and juicy as were the fries. I ordered the burger to the pink side of medium, that's exactly what I got. Service was prompt! They cook it right on the griddle, you can watch if you get a seat at the counter. The chocolate malt put the meal over the top. "Old-fashioned" malt in the silver cup, enough for two whole malts(one in the glass the rest in the silver cup. Juniors even uses actual malt powder in the malt, absolutely phenomenal! I have been very disappointed in eating out lately, prices are crazy and quality is at a low. Juniors was breath of fresh air. More restaurants should come to Juniors and see how it is done. I will make this a more frequent destination in the future! read more

Good food and great service! My family and I only ordered a few things since we were there a little after 9am and I was meeting a friend for lunch at noon, but everything was really good. The cinnamon roll is the biggest I've ever seen and it was tasty. My wife tried my son's French Toast and she said it was really good. I only ordered some cheesy hash browns but despite needing a little salt, they were pretty good. Though the place was busy (all seats taken and people waiting for seats) the service was very good. My husband and I love to find new breakfast places and we aren't sure how we missed Juniors, but we're glad we found it. It is a very small place, so be aware of that if you going during peak eating times, but we got there early on a Sunday and were one of the first people there so no problem. The atmosphere is Diner, and after sitting at a table for two, I wished we'd chosen the counter. Not because of space, but because I absolutely love watching the cooks at the grill. Next time! The food was really very good, and generous as well. I had the Cajun breakfast which is one of my favorite things to try when I see it on a menu. Previously my favorite version in the City was at Grandview Grill on Grand Avenue in St Paul...but Juniors surpassed it today! Great flavor in the hollandaise, excellent spicy and juicy Andoullie sausages, perfectly prepared eggs, and nicely crunchy hashbrowns as a base which complemented everything else really well. Loved it! My husband had the breakfast quesadilla, which was also very generous, and he said it was terrific. We shared the French toast as well. Crunchy outside and soft inside with a wonderful vanilla/cinnamon smell that permeated from the plate! The service was fantastic ...friendly, very attentive to the coffee and beverage needs, and quick to remove used dishes which was nice especially with a smaller table. We will be back to be certain, and I will probably never try anything that is not the Cajun breakfast because I just really felt the "Happiness" with that dish :). But I will sit at the counter next time so I can watch the artists at work making our breakfast! read more
