Great breakfast spot! Such nice service, quick food turnaround. Ambiance is mom & pop diner with a 50s "old fashioned" decoration vibe. Definitely casual, great for families, friends or going solo Could have better coffee, but it wasn't terrible.

My hubby and I drove in from Chicago and craved breakfast so we checked in. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Delicious breakfast, fried perfectly, comes to the table fresh from the kitchen, nice and hot. Service is excellent, family owned and are onsite. Looking forward to their lunch! Oh and its a cute neighborhood diner

Every time I have been here the food has been not only delicious but also very fast service and fresh food exactly what I look for in a food diner . Also there serving sizes are very reasonable for the price . Highly recommend one of the mango flavored ice cream things they have up front .!!

We live close so we thought we'd try this diner. Well never again. It was so hot and humid in the restaurant! I am always cold, well I was sweating it was so hot. Then they gave us our silverware and my spoon was super dirty (see photo). We were given water and told they are out of ice. We saw many more people come In and they were all given water with ice. When My husband asked if we could have ice we were told they were out. The food was okay. Not terrible and it was warm. But over priced for the quality. When we paid we paid in cash. They didn't have enough money in the register to give us our change. So we left.

Not open when they say they are

Both Apple Maps and google say they are open. The sign outside the door says they are open 7-3. Currently standing outside a locked door at 11:45.

Greasy country fried steak with under cooked hashbrowns and cold scrambled eggs.

I would avoid this restaurant at all cost. The customer service is awful and the food is low quality. I will not be returning.

4/20/26 Lunch with family today was so FUN and DELICIOUS!!…read more We were seated by our server, Parker J. He was SUPER FRIENDLY, very courteous, knowledgeable about the menu and exceedingly efficient. Taking drink orders shortly after seating us AND they were delivered minutes later. Lemonade for my sis-in-love and GUINESS for the rest of the party. She had the apple, pecan salad chicken salad which was thoroughly enjoyed. The menu contains a nice variety of choices. I had the Chicken Salad. It was BEAUTIFUL! Avocado, red onions, craisins (YUM!!) and a beautifully prepared chicken breast. It was fantastic! My husband ordered a blackened turkey with white American cheese on chula mayo on cheddar crusted Vienna bread. He loved it! It looked really nice - - and it came with fried to perfection and seasoned sour cream. The sour cream was an additional cost, but a nice touch for sure. Our brother-in-love had the monthly special. Called "The Oh-MaMa" it looked super.

The beef patty is a little under seasoned and I would've liked a little more cheese inside the Juicy Lucy patty. The waffle fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seasoned sour cream is a little on the runnier side and not super flavorful. The chicken nachos were delicious! The queso was flavorful and the chicken was cut into bite sized cubes. The queso and toppings were spread out over all the chips so there weren't a bunch of chips at the bottom that had no queso or toppings on it. I had the snack size of the Golden BBQ bone-in wings. The wings were juicy and I liked the sweetness paired with the slight vinegar tang in the golden BBQ sauce. The snack size had 5 wings. Service is fast and there is plenty of seating available, with a mix of tables and booths.

Food is always consistent. We usually do the prime rib because we can't pass on a good prime rib. The kiddos love the Mac and cheese so we usually do those as our sides. The chicken critters are a must try. Really can't go wrong with anything here. Sadly our waitress did not come back to check on us often, we needed a few things and waited a while for it. So disappointed we barely got any bread unlike the other times we've been there. That's the best part! It was very busy for fathers though so it was fine but service could've been better. They had activities outside for Father's Day, a bounce house, face painting, and bags. I love how they make it fun for the whole family here.

The cactus blossom is a classic and the dipping sauce that comes with it goes well with the fried onions. The twisted mozzarella sticks are nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They have A1 steak sauce available, and all day $5 10z margaritas (flavors are an additional dollar), long islands, and 16 oz Castle Danger Cream Ale. Their salad greens are super crisp and fresh. During peak times it gets very loud inside, but even during peak times food comes out pretty fast. I've also catered from this location for a party of around 40 people and they were super easy to work with. Service from Jeff was exceptional and the food arrived piping hot and on time. Catering delivery is available for an additional fee. The catered dishes tasted just as good as dining in. I would definitely cater from this location again!

And I overheard another patron request a table for 34* (all ball teams). B&B did not show hesitation to accommodate the unexpected groups. Neither Dan, nor his servers looked panicked or even slightly overwhelmed. They were very organized, moved with purpose and showed strong teamwork. From where we were seated, it appeared everybody, ball team and the regular dining customers, got smooth and professional service. I didn't feel that our food/bev times were affected whatsoever by the large groups; and we received our usual personal, attentive treatment (shout out to Calvin) And the truly talented chefs. Plus those fabulous bartenders. Wow! So happy Brick and Bourbon is showing such success and popularity in Apple Valley. If you haven't tried Apple Valley's Brick and Bourbon you should really check it out. Tasty food, tap beers, cocktails, dessert, modern atmosphere, they are the whole package. *Idk if the 34 stayed or left

We were seated right away upon arrival and service was good and we were well taken care of the whole time. Starting from apps, we ordered the duck bacon wontons, and the brisket poutine. The duck bacon wontons were almost empanada size and were truly tasty. The pomegranate sriracha dipping sauce was the icing on the cake here as it was so sweet and rich and flavorful. The brisket poutine was pretty solid as well. There were definitely some beautiful cheese pulls involved when pullling apart the fry's. I wouldn't have minded a little more gravy, but still this dish was still pretty good. For my beverage I had the You're my boy blue beverage which is a bourbon, agave, blueberry and lemonade drink. It was tasty and the blueberry really stood out. Lastly, for the entree I had the anytime monte which is their take on a Monte Cristo sandwich. I love this thing wit a passion. Delicious French toast bread with fried ham and bacon and cheese inside. I then slathered it in the jalapeño strawberry jam which makes this sandwich complete. I asked for the sandwich with Fries and let me tell you, they know what they're doing with potatoes. Unbelievably crispy, double battered double fried fry's. So good! I think that this restaurant has wonderful staff, wonderful food, and the one thing it's maybe missing is the interior design is a bit dreary. It's just red everywhere, lots of windows and pretty plain furniture. I think if they can add some flare to the design it would really elevate the dining experience. Still, I was very happy with my time here hence a 5/5

You can make reservations and they have an app with a loyalty program. There often is a wait during dinner time, so if you can plan ahead I would make a reservation. Tavern Grill recently revamped their menu and they have some really great dishes! Some notable dishes: -- The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps appetizer is SO fresh and flavorful! You can add on cashews and avocado. The avocado slices were so thick and fresh. The wonton strips were some of the best I've had -- so light and crispy. The thai peanut sauce on the chicken was fantastic and the ginger sauce had a pretty decent kick to it. -- The Chicken Skewers entree is my go-to dish. It's such a classic and it has consistently been good every time I've ordered it. The chicken is juicy and the peppers and onions have a nice charred grilled flavor. The garlic parmesan sauce complements the dish well. -- The Chicken Wild Rice Soup is on the chunkier side, which I enjoyed! It was nice and creamy and didn't skimp out on the wild rice. The Clam Chowder served on Fridays was a little too salty. -- The Skillet Cookie is so warm and gooey! The ice cream melts right into the warm cookie. The cookie is on the doughier side and the outside is on the softer side. It's almost the size of the entire plate, so it's easily shareable between a few people. -- The Fish Fry Basket doesn't taste too greasy, and the tarter sauce complements the fish well. The fish has a clean flavor and on Fridays you can get a refill of 4 pieces of fried fish for an additional $7.50. You can add on their seasoned sour cream for an additional cost. The seasoned sour cream is thick and adds so much flavor to the waffle fries. Last time I was there I received very friendly and attentive service from Sam.

Spoke to Mike who claimed he was the GM. Mike was rude didn't want to help. I explained they charged me quite a bit more than the tip and bill. He stated he wasn't there and he couldn't explain why I was charged more. Said he wouldn't fix the bill but couldn't explain why I was charged more. I told him then he should just remove the tip and have it match the receipt. He said he wouldn't do that because I digested the food. I stated I'd pay for the food but you aren't going to tip your establishment 50% of my bill when I never authorized that. He hung up on me. Response to Tavern T the owner. As you may have read I already spoke to Mike who claimed he was the GM and he wouldn't resolve the issue. Why would it be different now? I even advised Mike I would be writing reviews and potentially filing a lawsuit. It wasn't about the money as much as principle. He laughed and said he encourages me to. Clearly he doesn't care about his patrons and is willing to lose business over small amounts of money
