Great breakfast spot! Such nice service, quick food turnaround. Ambiance is mom & pop diner with a 50s "old fashioned" decoration vibe. Definitely casual, great for families, friends or going solo Could have better coffee, but it wasn't terrible.

My hubby and I drove in from Chicago and craved breakfast so we checked in. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Delicious breakfast, fried perfectly, comes to the table fresh from the kitchen, nice and hot. Service is excellent, family owned and are onsite. Looking forward to their lunch! Oh and its a cute neighborhood diner

Every time I have been here the food has been not only delicious but also very fast service and fresh food exactly what I look for in a food diner . Also there serving sizes are very reasonable for the price . Highly recommend one of the mango flavored ice cream things they have up front .!!

We live close so we thought we'd try this diner. Well never again. It was so hot and humid in the restaurant! I am always cold, well I was sweating it was so hot. Then they gave us our silverware and my spoon was super dirty (see photo). We were given water and told they are out of ice. We saw many more people come In and they were all given water with ice. When My husband asked if we could have ice we were told they were out. The food was okay. Not terrible and it was warm. But over priced for the quality. When we paid we paid in cash. They didn't have enough money in the register to give us our change. So we left.

Not open when they say they are

Both Apple Maps and google say they are open. The sign outside the door says they are open 7-3. Currently standing outside a locked door at 11:45.

Greasy country fried steak with under cooked hashbrowns and cold scrambled eggs.

Decided to try this place for the 1st time on 07/03/16. First thing my husband and I noticed was how sticky the floors were at 7am. Also the glass was very greasy. Obviously they don't clean very well. I ordered a hazelnut latte to start and hubby got a white chocolate mocha. Both tasted like powder was added to water. $3.75 a piece for each, both cups were only 1/2 full and no refills. Both tasted terrible and appeared to not contain caffeine. Hubby ordered the country fried steak and I got the "special" crab cakes benedict. Hubby said it was the 2nd worst country fried steak he has eaten. Very greasy. Also his scrambled eggs were cold. As for me, my poached eggs were cold but since they were placed on a crab cakes straight from the fryer the eggs cooked over hard and I got no runny egg yolk on my benedict. Both our hashbrowns were barely cooked and we're mostly raw. The service was also terrible. There were two servers and two tables. We were the 2nd table. After food was served our server didn't check back for 10 minutes. Our tab was over $30 but why? Needless to say we won't be back. Worst breakfast experience ever.

Galaxy "Grand" Omelet. Forgot the cheese apparently, nothing holding the omelet together

Really good food for great price! Staff is also friendly! Laid back casual atmosphere. Often times busy but worth the wait.

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

What a disappointment today. Party of 4 to celebrate a birthday. I suggested the restaurant and was…read morequite surprised by how drastically different this visit was compared to the previous. I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.

The restaurant is spacious and bright. Even though there's tons of seating, spots fill up fast! I came around 9am on a Saturday and was seated right away, but by 10am the entry room was full of people waiting for a table. -- The Northwoods Hashbrowns are absolutely delicious if you're craving a savory breakfast. The portion is huge and can easily be shared. The default hashbrowns are on the softer side, so I like to ask for it extra crispy so you get a better bite. It has the perfect amount of spice from the jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. -- The 49er Flapjacks are like the denser cousin of the crepe. The texture is so velvety and the butter just glides on. Absolutely delicious when it's smothered in butter and syrup. The 49ers are thin but they take up the entire plate, so it's still quite a bit of food. -- The cinnamon roll pancakes are arguably better than a standard cinnamon roll. It's the flavor of a cinnamon roll with the moist fluffy texture of a pancake. They do not skimp out on the cinnamon sugar filling or the maple cream cheese frosting. -- The cold brew is nice if you're looking for an iced coffee option, but it does taste a little watered down. It does not come with any refills. -- The thick sliced bacon is around 1/4 inch thick and is flavorful. You can ask them to cook it to your desired crispiness level.

My cheesy hashbrowns were great. The avocado benedict was also very good. It was the poor service and having to wait 20 minutes for the check that lost a star on the review.

My go to is a Sicilian pizza which is salty, slightly spicy and full of meat. The toppings steal the show for this pizza. We thought that was super strange and I asked "are you closing?" He said "no" and just stood there... We said "ok well can we get a table then?" And he said "oh sure, just pick one" Not a great start. However, our waitress was wonderful! I didn't get her name but she was an older woman with long black and white hair. She was so sweet and took very good care of our table! We got onion rings whichwere great! They had a crunch and the onions were done well! Im not sure if they were beer battered, but it tasted that way! They are served with a side of ketchup. My mom got the chicken dinner with a baked potato and coleslaw. She said it was all very good! She said it did taste different than years ago, but still very good! My boys and I got the thin crust half cheese half pepperoni pizza. Again not quite the same as what I remember but very tasty! This is a very greasy pizza which would probably taste amazing with a cold beer and a game on the tv!
