Our server Karey was a superstar: friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable regarding the menu options. My mom said her eggs Benedict was the best she's had in quite some time. My sausage scrambler was loaded with sausage, mushrooms, peppers, cheese and green onions and it was very filling. My only gripe was when I looked at the receipt after we left and saw it cost $7.90 for two cups of coffee. And the coffee wasn't even in the realm of good, so they either need to up their coffee game or lower the price. read more

Sadly, the Oasis we once knew and loved is no more. We've been to Oasis 4-5 times since new ownership took over earlier this year and have been disappointed each time. Not only did the prices jump substantially, the quality (and quantity) of our go-to favorites all declined. The burgers are not fresh and/or poor quality beef and the fries are over seasoned. Even the Mickey Mouse pancakes are a fraction of their previous size (I mean, how much does pancake batter really cost?). Breakfast burrito - also more expensive with smaller portions. My husband heard about this restaurant from coworkers. I have never visited Stillwater before, so I decided to give it a go. I ordered a soup of the day, which was tomato basil. It kinda just tasted like pasta sauce, but the toasted bread with it was delicious. Ordered the Chipotle burger, and I thought it was good. The toppings on it were pretty good and fresh. The fries were crispy and tasted good, and the ranch was really nice as well. My husband ordered the other soup and said it was okay. He also ordered Jack Daniel's burger. It was messy for him, so he forked it I like the look of the restaurant inside. Didn't have to wait long to get a table, so that's nice. I will come back for breakfast next time. As you pull up, the scene of a towering bluff over this small diner almost feels out of a movie, and that feeling is only amplified once you step inside. We sat at a small booth near the kitchen and hearing the staff singing, cracking jokes, and just going about their day adds to the sheet joy of this spot. The initial greeting is SO RUDE! The place can be empty, and they will seat you in the worst spot. 4 booths where open the whole time we were eating. It happens every time to everyone. They just verbally attack one at the door to seat you in the worst spot. I was never going back after the waiter said to me and a friend of mine, are you really going to do this? After asking for a booth. My friend and I walked out and when to lunch in Hudson, WI instead. However, my son came from London to visit, and he wanted to go. A man, I assume was the owner, was frequently walking around checking on guests, bringing coffee IN MUGS to people waiting for a table outside, and even offered to pay for a nearby child's breakfast if he could win a game of tic tac toe. This type of care for your customers has very much become the exception and I hope Oasis keeps defying the stereotypes in this regard. Hubby got a haystack which for the cost was quite small and he didn't get the eggs or toast and it was still almost $20 for Average taste. I felt the gravy could have used a tad more seasoning, but that might just be me. parking is a little tight, so if you come at a very busy time, you might need to park down the road a little and walk. it's not far though... less than 50 yards. overall, it was a great breakfast and a great value. the biscuits and gravy (comes with 2 eggs) was $10, the pancakes and eggs were $8, and the side of bacon was $3. very reasonable prices. the view was nice and the staff was friendly and very efficient. read more

Got takeout from here during Covid. I got the Chainsaw chicken sandwich. It's a fried chicken sandwich breaded with Captain Crunch and Corn Flakes. I loved the texture of it. They said it would be done in 10 minutes but my drive there is a bit over 20 minutes. The chicken sandwich and fries were still crispy and warm when I got my food. I looooved it.
