We understood it was a busy Saturday, but we ordered quickly and told our server, we had to be…read moresomewhere in about an hour. Almost one hour later our food arrived and it was crap. Never saw our server Hannah again. I had to wander down back hallways observing a huge sloppy mess of dishes and old food to find anyone. They finally dropped a check and we paid the bartender. Food was horrible and a little pricey for such a dive. Not even sure what the 3.5% fee was for, but we had to go. They held us hostage way too long on a beautiful Saturday we hoped to spend in Stillwater. Go somewhere else. Also, they share a dirty restroom with the run down hotel next door.

So pay or show you can pay first before I put your food order in to be made? I didn't like that request as I wasn't starting a tab. I was ordering food, but it's the pub policy. The food arrived and the sandwich was nice but the corned beef was a little dry for my taste. It did have good flavor and if I order it next time I will ask for a condiment that pairs well with it like horseradish sauce. The French fries were crispy and I ate them all. The Coke was a Coke nothing special. I decided to order dessert and went with the bread pudding and I should have started with that first. That was a good bread pudding not too sweet and not too bland. The cream on top provided the needed moisture. Do order the dessert! Yum. I'm giving it a solid 3.9 but it would have been a 4 but that ask for a card upfront got to me. I'm not used to that unless you are opening a beer tab.

Family was starving after being held hostage by Main Street in downtown Stillwater. Didn't know where we were going and accidentally bumped into this little gem. Food was amazing. I have experience with good food so I don't say that often. Hubby's burger was yummy, 5yr old had a pb&j pizza and I had a fantastic turkey melt. Perfect fries with lots of different dipping sauces. She did not come back to our table until we were finished, so ended up eating the well done burger which was $12.50. When she did come back she didn't ask us for dessert, which we wanted. Great food and tap beer. Give the English Ale a try, good stuff. Food is excellent and price fair. Only drawback is that it is small with nowhere to stand if waiting for table. Also if you sit in first table by front door it gets cold, no airlock between inside and out, so cold draft hits first table. I would go again, but probably avoid friday or sat pm unless you have patience to wait for table. Good place read more

Yet, the Wasabi Mayo sauce doesn't complement very well--and if you leave the mushrooms for more than 15 minutes or so, they become soft as the frying oil settles. They're good. Entree: - Steak Dinner w/ Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Garlic Bread, and choice of a side (I chose Asparagus) for $22. First, the Asparagus was thick, seasoned well, crunchy, and perfect. I could eat a plate of them! They proudly proclaim all steaks are from Creekstone Steaks Black Angus. I've never heard of them, but my medium rare 8 oz. NY Strip was chewy and a lacked some marbling which made it dry. The steak should really use a good salting and coarse ground pepper coat before cooking. The steak was cooked a minute past perfect medium rare, but close enough. Still, I NEVER use Steak Sauce, but I did add some Bulliard's Steak Sauce that was on the table. Not really impressed with the steak's pre-cook seasoning. Steak Sauce: Bulliard's Steak Sauce is similar to A1 Steak Sauce, but more Smokey and less acidic. Service: Prompt, friendly, efficient, and attentive. Great! Ambiance: It's a HUGE place with many booths, tables, and seats at the bar. The Bad: their signage outside on the building is not lit, so at night, you may miss it (it's next door to a Sushi place that does have outdoor signage that is lit. Overall: I would say the experience was middle of the road. Affordable prices, plenty of food, but nothing stellar. I may visit again and try something else--and will ABSOLUTELY order the Asparagus!
