    Lamb bolognese, very tasty

Very very good food and beautiful dining setting. Strongly recommend trying VT cheese plate to start. For entrees we had the cod (exceptional in a leak, bacon, and potato chowder) and lamb bolognese (I little bit salty for my taste but still delicious). I would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner during the ski weekend.

My boyfriend booked this for me because I have always wanted to go to Vermont. The bar/restaurant was unfortunately closed for renovations during mud season. Being from Michigan, we were unaware of mud season (runs April - mid May and is a time when many places shut down and renovate due to the change from ski season to summer season). However, we still had an absolutely AMAZING trip and would not have changed a single thing! We debated which accommodation to book because the map online makes everything look really far apart....but it's not! Everything is within easy walking distance. We ultimately chose the Woodshed, which is a small cabin to its own. The main room is the bedroom. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life! Not only was the bed comfortable, the duvet/comforter was perfect....it cooled me down when I was warm and warmed me up when I was cold!!! The room was appointed with a welcome letter, unique snacks, plenty of coffee, and plenty of wood for the indoor fireplace (which we did not need to use). The bathroom is large and is stocked with top of the line toiletries. The shower has great temperature and water pressure! There is also a large closet/room that has a small refrigerator and microwave. There are 2 beds upstairs in the loft which we did not use but seemed comfortable. Outside, we had our own patio and firepit, which we used all the time. The property manager, Steve, was always dropping off wood for us (without us having to ask), but there was also a large pile of wood right around the corner if we ran out (which we didn't, even though my boyfriend tried lol). We spent a lot of our evenings sitting outside enjoying the sights and sounds of nature and the property. We also enjoyed the river and walking the property/hiking path, but we did not partake in tennis or basketball, but those are available, along with other amenities. When we were off property, we were exploring the local surrounding towns and easy-moderate hiking trails. Vermont doesn't disappoint! What a beautiful area! The FRE (Farm Road Estate) family was incredibly accommodating and hospitable. Many times throughout our stay, while we were outside, staff checked up on us or to simply say hello. We were shown some of the renovations of the blue stone patio at the Sawmill Restaurant, and it looks absolutely phenomenal, we can't wait to come back and visit!

Absolutely loved our stay! Girls trip and we stayed in farmhouse 2. The grounds are immaculate. We hiked the trail. It was wet this time of year but still doable. Used the pool Saturday and sat at the bon fire. Staff went above and beyond at every chance. Ate breakfast on property and it was excellent. Will absolutely come back!

Our stay at Farm Road Estate AMAZING! Couldn't recommend this place more, although I'm hesitant because it's totally a hidden gem. The onsite restaurant was absolutely delicious and it was so nice to have good food, good drinks, and great atmosphere after a long day on the mountain. Plus the ambiance throughout the hotel is amazing. Cozy, welcoming, clean and safe (covid-wise). We stayed in room 5, which is in the main building and it was perfect. The beds were SO comfortable we literally asked where they got the duvet so we can buy one at home. Last but not least, the trip was made absolutely perfect thanks to the General Manager Steven. He is awesome and truly does it all!!! From welcoming guests, to waiter service in the restaurant, to making a fire for us to enjoy while the rest of our family was at the mountain, to local recommendations. He is the beyond exceptional!! I typically don't leave reviews but this stay was just so perfect I had to share with others!

The beer selection is well pretty wide. All craft or micro beers most from New England but a few further afield. If you are a sour beer fan this place is for you . It would be like a Christmas any month of the year. I am not a sour beer fan, in fact I really detest them. But if you like them, you will in a very happy place here. I had the Stone Corral Oktoberfest (Richmond Vermont). It was a pretty fine take on a . Marzen style ale. We shared a pretzel and the cheese board. The pretzel was your typical enormous soft pretzel. This one was just at should be fresh, slight chewy crust and soft inside. The Dijon mustard dip was good. The cheese board was huge enough for two for a lunch . A Brie like cheese, a pungent delicious blue cheese and a smooth but distinct hard cheese as well as a nice fruit jam , some slices of salami and actual fresh green grapes . Good service and pleasant staff. I didn't have them but the oysters look good and the prices for oysters on the half were quite reasonable

Every single detail of the property has been so thoughtfully considered, it's truly incredible. The attention to detail in every square foot left me in awe!!! Lisa is the kind of host you can only dream about. She pours her whole heart into making sure every guest feels cared for, and you can truly tell. It felt less like staying at a rental and more like being welcomed into the home of an old friend. It's rare to find a place where you feel so completely at home, only better!! From the warm welcome to the smallest touches, everything made us feel completely spoiled in the best way!! It's rare to find that balance, but somehow it's all here. The property is beautiful, every little detail inside has been so thoughtfully chosen, and the price point is beyond fair for the experience you get! I would give more starts if I wasn't limited to only 5! I honestly can't wait to come back!! (And I haven't even left yet, I extended my stay here two more days) I'd make a trip just to stay here again, and I'd recommend it to absolutely anyone looking for something truly one-of-a-kind!

By far the cleanest and most organized B&B I've ever stayed at and I have been to a lot. The location is perfect for people wanting adventure or just a nice relaxing day or both. We took advantage of the location and went on a 5 mile hike which was wonderful. We relaxed with a bottle of wine and a nice hot bath after the hike. It was perfect. We highly recommend staying here and will be coming back for a few nights next time because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you Ariana and Scott for making my birthday weekend so special. If you're looking for a full service resort/spa/conference center with three restaurants and ski on/off access, check out Grand Summit Resort - also owned and operated my Mount Snow. Snow Lake Lodge has an on-site bar and restaurant, and they serve complimentary continental breakfast to overnight guests. They're also equipped with a year-round indoor and outdoor hot tub, game room, and arcade video games for the kids too. And even though they're not slopeside, the free ski/board-friendly MOOver shuttle (see here: http://www.moover.com/routes-timetables/mount-snow ) makes pickups right outside Snow Lake Lodge every 15 minutes, providing rides directly to the Mount Snow base area and high-speed lifts. If I was writing this review five years ago, I'd have given this place four stars, but (a) the condition, cleanliness, and attention to detail of this older hotel continues to deteriorate, while (b) the prices for stays steadily and consistently increase year after year, unjustified. Charging nearly $200 a night when comparable neighboring inns/lodges are priced way less for the same dates has left me shopping elsewhere for Mount Snow area lodging (see The Lodge At Mount Snow, Red Oak Inn, and Austrian Haus Lodge). While Mount Snow's operation of the Snow Lake lodge guarantees friendly and top notch customer service, it's lost the "mom & pop" feel of the other aforementioned lodges. Top that off with asinine 3-night minimum stays during holiday weekends (forcing you to take off a work day to even stay there) and it's hard to wholeheartedly endorse this hotel any more. Mount Snow is an excellent place to ski close to New York, with varied and challenging terrain, and awesome staffers from the ambassadors to the lifties, but they've really gotta step up their game at Snow Lake Lodge, or just sell it off to someone who can.
