My fiancé and I had a lovely stay here. Vince was extremely helpful and Meagan was a treasure. The food was amazing as well! Make sure you check out the gift shop too. I wish we had a chance to stay longer! Can't wait for our next stay

Fish fried is amazing. LOTS of strip clams with it :-)

This place is just awesome. Third year in a row we came to kick off our summer time. The place is quute and relaxing, the staff is very kind and polite and Vince is great. On top of that the quality of the food at the restaurant is terrific. Definitively will be back next year (again)

Local VT spirits. Maple whiskey is outstanding.

I have been coming here for 7 years. Vince is amazing. The food is to die for. Pet friendly. Cozy. Walk to Magic Mountain. I can't imagine coming to Vermont and not staying here. It's a tradition the whole family (and dog) looks forward to.

Centrally located to our "day trips" this was the affordable dog friendly choice for us. Quiet location far from main road. Nice backyard for playing with dogs. Hotel is dated and our room had some issues. Nothing huge but should be addressed. Comfortable beds. 2nd bedroom with children's bunks. Large deck off front bedroom. Great water pressure in shower. HOT water. No a/c. Bring a heavy duty fan in summer. Inn keeper was always friendly and helpful. Occasionally noisy with neighbors slamming doors but it was more random than continuous. Overall we both enjoyed it very much. It was perfect for our needs. Look forward to our next stay. Recommended Fantastic complimentary coffee & muffins in morning.

That red building behind the trees? That's the ski area base lodge. Short of sleeping in the parking lot you can't get closer.

This is a beautiful lodge at an iconic mountain. I had a clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious and inexpensive. Vince makes great french toast. I ate dinner there as well; it was fantastic. A great staff - warm and friendly and genuinely welcoming. It was perfect; can't wait for my next visit.

This little guy enjoyed his stay.

We stayed at the Upper Pass Lodge for a weekend as the seasons were changing from fall to winter, and while the weather and scenery weren't ideal (already cold, not leafy anymore, and not quite snowy yet), it made for a very nice, relaxing time. The draw for us was that the Upper Pass is truly pet friendly. We adopted a dog earlier this year, and as we were considering places to bring our little buddy for a weekend getaway, a lot of hotels we looked at had long lists of arbitrary rules for pets and their owners that scared us away. Not the Upper Pass Lodge - the staff made us all feel welcome, and the entire place was just warm and full of charm. The hotel isn't the fanciest, but our rooms were clean and comfortable, and we felt right at home. We had a LivingSocial for two nights, which made our stay a steal. Along with the room, we got a delicious hot breakfast to order every morning at the hotel restaurant, a cheese plate with two glasses of wine at the bar, and a thoughtfully curated picnic lunch. Vince the hotel manager was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. He suggested that we enjoy our lunch at the nearby Lowell Lake, and even though it was cold, it made for a great afternoon excursion. The Upper Pass Lodge is located in a great area on Magic Mountain with lots of places to explore nearby. A group of locals joined us at the bar one night, and they were all extremely down to earth and friendly, which is how you could describe the entire area. The hotel restaurant and bar serve only Vermont spirits, and many of the menu items are also locally sourced, so it was kind of an adventure every time we sat down for a drink or bite to eat. Having a great restaurant and bar just footsteps away from our room was an added bonus to our stay.

Amazing!! The maple buffalo wings were so crispy and my pasta with veggies and shrimp was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend loved his burger and my mom loved her blt. The service was exceptional. You can tell that they really care about the quality of their food and service. Highly recommend!!

I had to leave early in the morning to catch the race, so she made a lunch bag with a fresh muffin, snack bars, a box of juice, and a yogurt- and had it waiting for me when I got out the door at 6:00am. The motel has a truly hip, retro architectural vibe. The rooms are all updated, always clean, and stocked with goodies. Jen and her husband are very accommodating- the customer service here is like no where else. Very family friendly and they truly care that you're enjoying your stay at the motel and finding great things to do in the area. We've priced other places in the area. But you really get a vastly better experience and value at Snowdon Chalet.

It was pretty much exactly what I would have imagined a BnB to be in a northeast ski town. The hospitality was second to none - warm smiles and helpful local hints, great big breakfast with toast, fruit, with eggs, bacon, and sausage all from local farms. The cat was even friendly, who curled up with me as I worked to catch up on some business in one of the many open gathering spaces late at night. If you ask nicey, David might show you his ski collection or even take you out for a personal tour of the mountain (although he did say he rarely gives lessons anymore, but something tells me he's still game). To start, our room was immaculate; upon entering our room, we were greeted with homemade shortbread cookies and flower petals on our bed to commemorate our fifth anniversary. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was beyond comfortable. There were just so many little things that the inn had thought of- from Diptique toiletries to the most comfortable bathrobes laid out for us. After arriving, we spent the day meandering around the quaint town of Weston. Once the evening arrived, we arrived at the amazing Left Bank. The front desk helped us organize our reservation. One of the most enjoyable parts of our evening was finding out that the restaurant has their own sommelier to help us find the right wine! We had a cheese platter to start, steak frites, as well as ice cream and chocolate mousse for dessert. It was all divine! Once the evening winded down, the inn had everything to make us have a nice, relaxing, evening. We sat by the fire outside for some time and enjoyed the tranquility of the Weston. The next day, we were greeted with homemade blueberry muffins and coffee. We also stoped by their bakery, where they had a plethora of delicious breakfast and lunch options, such as farro salad and homemade rotisserie chicken. We are so sad to leave the Weston and will definitely be back soon. The highlight of our stay was: the amazing staff, impeccable attention to detail, delicious food, and the quaint town of Weston. I'm a sucker for beautiful Millwork, and the room I stayed in was built so perfectly it felt like it was handcrafted. I'm attaching 2 pictures to show how detailed it was, and with all that detail there's an extra layer of soundproofing which is excellent because I was working remotely during the day. Along with that, the wifi was very fast and had no lags for video calls. From there, it's shut laptop, head downstairs to The Left Bank for a meal and a drink.

Matt was kind enough to let us tag along on the 6:30am chores (I know, most reviews talk about how much children loved meeting the animals - but these 30-somethings loved it too!) and we had the pleasure of meeting Sarah the next morning. The breakfasts were divine - fresh ricotta with honey and pepper, scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, fresh baked bread with butter and jam, yogurt with granola - and all farm to table. Portions were more than generous and while I don't usually eat bread (and always say I don't miss it), I wound up having two pieces of Irene's bread with my breakfast. I'd miss bread more if all bread could taste like that! Irene was also kind enough to show us how she makes ricotta and yogurt, which we loved (almost as much as eating it!). The hosts and staff give very generously of their time and we absolutely loved our stay. We are already scheming excuses to go back to pet Muriel and Charlie, visit with Pippi (my favorite goat of all goats), and maybe convince Irene to let us take a cooking class with her (or try her pletzels). Thank you to everyone at Cold Moon Farm for a great weekend; I really can't say enough positive things about the experience.
