I wanted to give this place a higher star rating for everything that it offers for a skiier. No, its definitely not a 4 star hotel, but for everything it offers it deserves 4. First off, the hotel is very accommodating, it's huge and almost never sells out (here for NYE and booked days prior) with a very low cost (around $115 a night even for NYE) The location is perfect, free and frequent shuttle bus called the Moover will take you to the main lodge at Mt Snow in 5 minutes. Free large breakfast which seems way better than "continental" which is usually only coffee and a muffin. Soft beds, dark curtains and renovated bathrooms-- what else do you need to crash after a day of skiing? Did I mention on-site bar and restaurant and HOT TUB (in & outdoor)!! I expected a raging college crowd from the awful reviews I read but I was surprised to see families, children, all sorts of people... Friendly staff too. Really pleasant place. All in all, nice clean place with no bugs- i check all my mattresses and these were brand new. But if you're high maintenance and need a 4+ star hotel this isn't the place for you. A few major CONs: -shower pressure sucks (at least water was hot) -walls were paper thin -TVs are from 1995 if you care about that - gratuity is included in bill (what for??)

This is from the dining hall where breakfast is served in. The wood is half gone and is rotting away. It's like this all over the lodge.

It strikes the perfect balance between high-speed efficiency and classic East Coast après vibes. The Mountain: 86 Trails of Pure Variety With 86 trails, there is a clear "mood" for every face of the mountain. The Main Face: Where the Bluebird Express (the famous six-pack bubble chair) lives. It's 66% intermediate, making it a "blue cruiser" heaven. North Face: Hit this if you want the steep stuff and glades. It's where the expert terrain hides. Carinthia: 100 acres of pure terrain park. Even if you don't hit jumps, riding the lift over this area to watch the pros is a show in itself. When to Visit Go: Late January through early March for the best snow. Mid-week is the "pro move" to avoid the Epic Pass weekend crowds. Avoid: Holiday weekends. The lines at the Bluebird can get brutal. The Logistics: Fireplaces & Live Music The Vibe: For that classic lodge feel, head to the Grand Summit Resort or the Fireplace Lodge. There is nothing better than thawing out your boots by a massive stone hearth. The Party: You haven't truly "done" Mount Snow until you hit Cuzzins. The live music here (look for local legend Bruce Jacques on Saturdays) is electric. It's loud, high-energy, and the quintessential "dancing in your ski boots" experience. The Mandatory Pitstop: Vermont Country Deli Do not--I repeat, do not--drive back south without stopping at the Vermont Country Deli in Brattleboro. The Order: Get the Mac and Cheese. It's roughly $4.29 per 1/2 lb (or $12.99 for a "Take & Bake" tray). It's famous for its heavy, crispy cheddar crust and creamy center. Pro Tip: Add their maple pulled pork on top. It's life-changing. Verdict: A world-class lift system and the best terrain park in the East. Just be prepared for $199+ window tickets if you don't book in advance!

The staff at the mountain were all very helpful, friendly, and professional. The mover vans were convenient, taking us from the lodging to the mountain. They run every 15 minutes like clockwork. --Speaking of sticker shock the food at the mountain is very expensive, like ridiculously expensive. Six dollars for a 12 ounce bottled water! $8.50 for a waffle with some chocolate syrup on it? Even the 'authentic' NY pizza is $10 a slice and the slices are small and don't even really look like NY pizza. --The saving grace with the food would definitely be the macaroni and cheese, and they have many versions: like Pesto!. It comes out hot in these giant skillets. Definitely the winner if you're eating on the mountain, but I would suggest bringing your own food and water or else you're going to get fleeced. --Although the skiing and food were very expensive, the experience was worth it, and we will definitely be returning. --FYI-People from Vermont are super nice and helpful. TY.

Every single detail of the property has been so thoughtfully considered, it's truly incredible. The attention to detail in every square foot left me in awe!!! Lisa is the kind of host you can only dream about. She pours her whole heart into making sure every guest feels cared for, and you can truly tell. It felt less like staying at a rental and more like being welcomed into the home of an old friend. It's rare to find a place where you feel so completely at home, only better!! From the warm welcome to the smallest touches, everything made us feel completely spoiled in the best way!! It's rare to find that balance, but somehow it's all here. The property is beautiful, every little detail inside has been so thoughtfully chosen, and the price point is beyond fair for the experience you get! I would give more starts if I wasn't limited to only 5! I honestly can't wait to come back!! (And I haven't even left yet, I extended my stay here two more days) I'd make a trip just to stay here again, and I'd recommend it to absolutely anyone looking for something truly one-of-a-kind!

This is a small motel close to Mount Snow, 3 stories. The parking lines aren't clearly drawn out…read moreunder the snow, and they don't shovel it all of the way (there's a good shovel on the central walkway but sometimes people park there), so sometimes cars are double-parked or tight. Watch the parking lot exit - snow piles up and makes it hard to see folks coming on the road so several near-misses. Check-in on your phone (they text you a form and then send you a code to your door when the room is ready). Doors use a security code to enter the rooms. Desk hours are 9-5p, so if you go down at 4:45p and ask about why your door code doesn't work - and then find out the staff is already gone for the day, that was a problem. The day we checked in, a lot of people had issues with their room (all different reservations from different groups, too), and the staff left early that day. Eventually after texting a number and the hotline for customer service goes to the closed room (no one picks up on the number and there's no central phone line staffed), they get back to you via text - I believe the staffer on duty was apparently in the shower as she came down with wet hair after about 45min of folks getting anxious about what to do, and she had folks take a key to use instead of using the door code. Rooms are small, simple, and have an exit to the long shared balcony areas; good to put food outside and let it chill since there's no room fridge. Lighting is a bit dark, but suffices. TV has no issues, cable channels. Bathroom door opened the wrong way so you can't come into the room and open the bathroom door at the same time. Was clean, though, so that was good. Breakfast on the weekend included bagels, boiled eggs, and yogurt in a small fridge to the side. They also have a coffee machine, so you could get hot water and coffee. Breakfast bars and tea by the coffee station. There was also a water cooler to the side, but the staffer didn't have any water to refill that after it was empty in the first hour we were there... so only hot water for the rest of the long weekend. Hallway had a closet for self-service on the towels and supplies. Another closet at the entry for your skis, boots, and snow board to hang and dry a bit. Shared common room for folks to eat and play games. Downstairs, a little library, fireplace, pool table (needs some repair, had to put some logs into the bottom to avoid losing balls, ripped surface), a bar with plastic cups, a piano that's out of tune, and some card and board games. Good for the kids to run around and enjoy talking loudly away from the rest of the motel, which was good. Outside a hot tub (we didn't use it). Upstairs some seating and fireplace area, too. Overall, value the place for the location, 5 min from the mountain, and it's a motel. Don't expect 24-7 service, and it is convenient to restaurants and other areas nearby. Shuttle stops by to get to the mountain, too.

I do not understand the great reviews. Came for one overnight for a fall foliage drive…read more Pulling in, the motel did not even look like it was open. A random doorway with no signage led to the supposed entrance. Check in and out was via text. Not one person around to answer questions. A sign on the wall stated which rooms were on which floor, that was it. Never saw any public spaces at all. I will say the bed was very comfortable and had a flat screen TV but that's it. Tiny Bathroom with very dim lights. The room looked like a mud brown box, no decoration at all and very ratty old rug. Odd that some things looked good, but others were unfinished. Clean, very basic. All in all it appeared like it was the middle of a hotel flip. Construction, ladders in entrance ways, and workers pounding at 9:30 am.
