We have been going to this establishment for a couple of years now. Tonight we have decided no more. The food is delicious but the wait staff is incredibly horrendous. You will get your dinner with missing ingredients and the waitress says it's busy. You will get your dinner but have no silverware. You have to ask for silverware and napkins because the waitress just doesn't know to bring it. She says it's busy. If you ask for salt and pepper, you will be finished with dinner when she finally decides to bring it. She says it's busy. Mind you, she's only serving two tables. Tonight we ordered angel hair pasta, the bill says angel hair pasta but we got regular spaghetti because the waitress decided it was better!! I always pass Naples Street Food omw to the gym & have had it on my list of places to explore for some time. After hearing a friends amazing experience - I made it a priority this Saturday to finally check it out! The place is small & decorated in a way that feels very homey & welcoming which i loved as soon as I walked in. Staff is on top of making sure you've been attended/seated in a timely matter. Not to mention they remain super attentive once you're at your table (if you choose to eat in). My brother & I ordered their Piccante Calzone (which i didn't get to snap a pic of cause it was gone before i knew it lol - so yummy) along with their Aurora pizza (what I actually took a pic of). Both were very satisfying & made with much love. We finished out meal with the Nutella pizza which we also inhaled . Definitely need to come back more often & try everything on the menu! TOO MUCH SALT!!!! that said, the waitress was fantastic and polite. They use way too much salt in their pasta and pizza sauce. I ordered the penne arrabbiata and the extra salt made my nose run. My friend pizza was also drenched in Salt with had Italian ham and way too much salt that we didn't eat most of the pizza but they accommodated us with a complimentary side dish of chicken. I've been meaning to write about this place because I so love it and want it to stay open. If you're a Neapolitan pizza purist who has bemoaned the lack of options in Nassau County, you've officially found your joint. No need to trek to Roberta's, Motorino, or San Matteo if you've got a craving--you've got the real deal at Naples Street Food. I've tried several of their pizzas and found them to be perfectly blistered and crusty yet chewy. Don't forget to ask for some olive oil to drizzle on top before you eat. Heaven! Oh, and you better not be tossing the crusts--they're the best part! Besides the perfect pizzas, the family that runs the place is so welcoming and friendly. Like another reviewer mentioned, I hope they expand next door. They've got the main draw but I'd love to see some wine and simple tapas style apps added to the menu--maybe sliced figs, honey, and ricotta crostini in the summer? Maybe toasted almonds? A salumi platter? And while I love the simple and satisfying arugula salad, another veggie or salad appetizer option would also be great. (Maybe with lemon??) I am so happy we finally tried this hidden gem. Our server was sweet and explained all the options on the menu. We were pigs and ordered way too much food but it was worth it. Nothing was over salted, everything was super fresh and tasty! The arugula salad was amazing. My family and I have been dying to try this place since we always drive by on the way to my grandmas. We read about it in Newsday and it was rated one of the top wood fired pizzas on Long Island so we knew we HAD to try it! Well I'm sooo glad we finally did!! We got the Margherita and the Vegetale pies, both were very very delicious. The dough on both the pies was cooked perfectly, soft and chewy in the middle with the crust well-done around the edges. The margherita pie was awesome, you could tell the ingredients were extremely fresh from the way the cheese melted into the sauce so perfectly. When my dad ordered the Vegetale pie, they asked if we wanted it original how they make it or with sauce. He decided to go with the original, and figured we were better off trusting the people who make the pizza than ourselves, they probably know better. Well my dad was right, I'm soo glad he decided to get it the original way with olive oil on the base of the dough, it paired just perfectly with how the vegetables were cooked. This pizza was absolutely delicious. Although I didn't give it five stars, I feel it might have something to do with the fact that my dad ordered it early and had it in the over on warm waiting for me to get home from work. I think maybe if I ate at the pizza place or ate the pizza right after it was made I might have felt like it truly deserved 5 stars. For that reason (and for the fact that I really did love the pizza) I will definitely be back for more!!!! Yes everyone, I have finally found my favorite brick oven pizza on Long Island. I'm shocked I haven't been to this place before since I live so close but I'm glad I heard about it!! The personal pie is cooked at 1000 degrees for 90 seconds (yes you heard that correctly). When I took my first bite I went into pizza heaven. What I loved the most was the sauce to cheese ratio, it was perfect! Not too much cheese, and little sauce and not too much sauce with little cheese. I would suggest trying the Calabrese which is sauce, cheese and some spicy salami!!! My favorite. You can tell the sauce is made from real, fresh tomatoes and also all ingredients seem of the highest quality. I DEFINITELY recommend coming here. This was my first time having pizza from Naples Street Food and I have several qualms with my overall experience. The only positive point I can think of was how quickly we were able to pick up 2 large pizza pies, and a salad on a Friday night. We were told the price for our order (reminder: JUST 2 pies and a salad) was a womping $71.79. My initial reaction was...oh, they must've misheard and doubled our order. But, nope!!! That really was the price for our order. Based on the owner's menu prices, there is a huge discrepancy in the listed prices & what we paid for. I didn't bother bringing this up with the individual I spoke to because it was Friday and the family needed to eat! So fast forward to sitting at the dinner table with our two pies and salad. The burrata 12 oz salad was extremely bland and had no flavor (is this what farm to table tastes like?. The margarita and norcina pie were both cold, lacked flavor, and definitely not worth the $30 price/pie that we paid. There was more crust than pizza and I don't think we got what we "paid" for. This is truly a gourmet pizza place, but I don't think that means bumping up prices to a hefty $30 ticket price can justify subpar pizza. But if you are going to charge that much please 1. We ordered the truffle pasta and paid a hefty price of $24.99 for an awfully small serving. The pasta was dry and lacked any flavors. It was a true disappointment. We also ordered pizza and asked for the oil on the side. First I got an email saying they're charging my card more for extra sauce, which I was okay with. Not the end of the world, but you're a pizza place, and the pizza has sauce!! Then the delivery driver called me to find out where I am, and was also speaking with someone else and told them "hold on while I speak with this Knuclehead", referring to me. I still tipped him 20% because I figured a person like that can use some good vibes in their life. When I thought that was the worst of it, turns out they sent me anchovies instead. I called back and spoke with the business owner who was super rude and said their "policy" was that they don't issue refunds, and I'd have to get a different pizza re-made and delivered whenever, even though I told them I'll bring the whole pizza back at some point and just wanted a refund, since I had less than a half hour before this place where I was studying closed. At this point I didn't wanna eat from this place. I asked to see this policy and she said "Okay, I delivered your food. Bye" and hung up on me... i had to call me credit card company and report this. Honestly, I wouldn't deliver from such a business again. I was more than reasonable with them and they were completely rude and delivered such terrible service. Ordered their amazing porchetta sandwich that I haven't had for several months. I was craving it, and didn't care it's $20 for a sandwich. This thing is huge, with thick slices of freshly roasted pork and delicious broccoli rabe stuffed inside brick oven bread. I couldn't wait to try it. Welllllll, when I opened the box, it looked like a long pancake. I opened the bread and inside was MORTADELLA and 5 strings of broccoli rabe. Naples street food has been my favorite restaurant for 4 years and always my go to recommendation when friends ask me where to go. That's why I am so sad to write this but I have seen a huge change since chef Gigi has started. I have ate inside pre covid and ordered in during covid and have been disappointed almost every time. When I went to eat there before Covid, the staff was extremely unorganized and messed up everyone's order entirely. During quarantine we ordered about 4 times, including last night and I am getting frustrated. I was hoping that Gigi was just working out the kinks and I kept trying and giving it a chance but I think I would rather drive to oceanside to get great pizza from the other location. Although Gigi's pasta is delicious when made correctly, the pizza has taken a turn for the worse. I ordered my favorite pie last night, the aglio e olio. There was no red pepper on it and maybe about 4 pieces of ricotta (one on each slice) and the crust is not what it used to be. Small location with limited seating, but excellent wood-fired pizza. My boyfriend and I got the capricciossa and the tartufata pie to share. The capricciossa pie was good, but I think there are better pies you should get instead - the amount of toppings actually takes away from the pie and it's pretty overwhelming. The tartufata was extremely delicious, it had truffle oil, mushrooms, ricotta, mozzarella, and Italian ham. I highly recommend this pie. The place can get pretty crowded for good reason, the service was attentive enough, and there is seasoning and various oils on a stand nearby the seating. This is a Neapolitan pizza parlor. All the pies are made to order. Lighter crust with some unique toppings. I had a 12 inch pie with four slices that had mozzarella, truffle and speck. Delicious but needed some Parmesan and red pepper flakes to bolster taste. I started with a Cesar salad which was mixed with small grape tomatoes. It was excellent. We ordered an appetizer which was supposed to include fried zucchini flowers, rice balls and potato croquettes but when we received it, no zucchini flowers.
