Best real Italian food on Long Island period. Not Italian American but real Italian. There is a difference. It's literally the closest thing to being in Italy. The pizzas are outstanding and the pasta dishes are outstanding as well. All the pasta is made fresh. Many ingredients are from Italy. Gigi takes great pride in his food and it shows. Fantastico!!

This was my first time ordering from Chef Gigi's, and I opted for Delivery, as they had a great promotion. The first thing worth celebrating: the delivery time was accurate to the minute! I thought, "There's no way it will be here by then..." and I was right on time. Kudos for time management, efficiency and accuracy! All 3 pizzas were phenomenal: Salsiccia Pizza, Prosciutto E Funghi Pizza and Pizza Cacio E Pepe. The flavor and freshness of the ingredients shine, and it's a revelatory experience to have them combine once you bite into a slice. My favorite was the Prosciutto E Funghi, very closely followed by the Salsiccia Pizza. The toppings don't distract from the rest of the pizza; and the sausage was savory and perfectly crumbled. The pizza crust didn't disappoint and the wood-firing does have a distinct texture and taste. High praise all around. I look forward to sampling more of the menu after this experience!

Incredible small ristorante with a wood fired Italian oven. Sit in the back. Always go for Chef Gigi's special dishes. We had an incredible pizza with Tuscan Boar prosciutto and an arugula salad with fried burratta. Then we had lobster stuffed tortelloni with Sicilian red shrimp! Yum. To top it off Gigi made us a special dish with Tuscan pici pasta with a prosciutto and a gold sauce ( tomato and butter) and green parmesan (basil added to 24 month aged cheese) and cracked black pepper. What more can you say? Go and have Chef Gigi feed you.

Was in Baldwin, NY for a quick trip and trying to beat rush hour (major fail) stopped and timed a margerhita to be ready as I pulled up. Intending to eat while I drove, when i.opwnes the box I decided that I needed to eat it while it was still steaming and I am glad that I did. Classic neapolitan style executed very well and I'm disappointed that I hadn't dined in for the whole experience but definitely planning to go back. Awesome find and portnoy rated their Roman style pie an 8.2 if that means anything to you.

Very lovely spot in the middle of Franklin square! Came here with my family and felt like I was in Europe. One thing that makes me nervous though, is their seating. It's a small tight area in the back of the restaurant with no windows and as someone who's still on edge with Covid, it wasn't my cup of tea, but I got over it quickly. You can also bring your own wine. CGP is very authentic from the restaurant to the servers to the food to the decor. I really liked the vibe and the hospitality. I personally felt like the pastas lacked salt but that's something my parents were appreciative of. We ordered: Burrata and speck over arugula - yummy and fresh, I'm just a dressing snob so I wish there was a balsamic or something but I figured this place was not the place to ask for changes or something on the side. It was still good though! CALABRESE PIZZA PICCANTE - this was my favorite. Absolutely incredible and that Nduja is LIFE CHANGING: Tomato sauce, mozzarella, Nduja spicy spreadable sausage, and spicy salami. Drizzled with extra virgin olive oil PAPPARDELLE PORCHINI AND TARTUFO- super filling but wish it had a little salt and that I could taste the truffle more. I wish I opted for their gnocchi instead: Tuscan pasta, Porchini mushrooms and black truffle creamy sauce RIGATONI ALLA "CARBONE" - spicy and good. It's 8 big pieces, spicy but good: Inspired by Carbone Restaurant in Little Italy. Rigatoni in spicy vodka sauce Black bucatini with prawns special - really enjoyed this. The prawns and sauce were incredible. We got zeppoles for dessert - it's a massive portion

Wow! This pizza blew my mind with its flavor I am a lover of Neapolitan and Roman style pizza and this pizza is the same as the Neapolitan one although I ordered takeout I was able to realize that they have home made pasta ufff, fusilli and rigatoni is my favorite I have to try it!

Ever since actor Stanley Tucci took a gastronomic tour of Italy and sampled The Four Pastas of Rome, I have been doing my own Roman culinary odyssey right here on Long Island Chef Gigi specializes in making the Four Pastas of Rome, not just "Naples Street Food". I recently devoured his intensely-flavored Pasta alla Gricia, which was made with heaping tablespoonfuls of guanciale and Pecorino Romano. I will be back soon to try his new version of Cacio e Pepe: Fettuccini Cacio e Pepe with pistachio crumbs and black truffle. A photo of it is on his Instagram page: #chef_gigis_place For an upcoming beach house BBQ on Fire Island, I will purchase some Cacio e Pepe chicken wings to serve as an appetizer and either the Pasta Carbonara or the Pasta All'Amatriciana to serve as the main course. I am impressed with the Roman cooking style of Chef Gigi. He also has a gregarious personality. The prices are reasonable in this pizza/restaurant. Check out his website, NaplesStreetFoodMenu dot com. Many weekday specials are available. Example: He has a Jumbo Chicken Wing special and a Pizza and Chicken Wing special. There are also Deals and Coupons. Discounts are given for online orders. The dress code is casual. There is plenty of public street parking in a bustling shopping district. I highly recommend Chef Gigi's Place, especially for connoisseurs of The Four Pastas of Rome.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in every detail, and that carries straight through to the food. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The crust strikes that perfect balance--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, while the cheese is perfectly melted and generously layered without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and crafted with care. What really stood out was the consistency and attention to detail. With that out of the way, let's get to what I got at this pizzeria. Since I had just come from Dario's, I decided that one slice would be good to get a feel of what KU offers. First off, the ambiance and look of the pizzeria is my favorite of the trifecta and the customer service is fantastic. I got the white slice and on the whole, it was heated to perfection, had a wonderful balance of mozzarella, ricotta and basil. Anywho, the taste of the slice was fantastic and I think this outclasses Umberto's and Da Angelo's white pies by a long shot. The display case had a great selection of wonderfully made pizza and other items for takeout. If you come here, you need to try their grandma pie as that it's claim to fame (I wish I could have it, but damn gastritis! ) I met Giovanni, one of the owners and he was friendly and loves having conversations with his customers and hope to meet him again. This has easily become one of my top favorite pizzerias on Long Island and will make the trek again, this time with my family in tow. Cheers!

Sorry I won't sound that way in this review. I don't jump on YELP to review right away unless something's really got me irritated and fed-up. The Ambiance is basic pizza place IMHO.. Plenty of tables and space. I've eaten pizza and pasta dishes for at least 65 of my 70+ years on this earth and worked in a pizza place during the late 70s-early 80's and I KNOW my pizza AND pasta, especially the sauce. Today's baked ziti and baked stuffed shells was literally out of this world, meaning it tasted like it came from an alien, possibly one of those we've been hearing about on the MSM news. It Was HORRIBLE! No, I don't have pictures because I do NOT have a cell phone or a cam. My wife does but she is not home today. Trust me, I do NOT knock pizza places unless it is well deserved, like this place. This was the 3rd time I've tried this place. The 1st time I ordered the same as today. It was delicious. The 2nd time I ordered a round cheeses pie which was a bit too well done for me, so not satisfied. The very 1st time I had just a slice or 2 and was very satisfied, which is why I went back. Today, I'm sorry I decided to stop there. It's a total waste of $27 as I can't even eat this. It looks and tasted like leftover food from last night. The stuffed shells were way overcooked. So soft that when I attempted to transfer to a big bowl, they fell apart. Too soft and the "ricotta" was not creamy or melted. It looked like ricotta does when it's gone bad. I was afraid to eat it, THAT'S how bad it looked. I did TRY it along with the baked ziti, but not good at all. So, you might wonder how the baked ziti was? HA! NOT GOOD AT ALL! The ziti tasted as it looked. Overcooked. Some brown "burn" spots on the mozz, (very little cheese) and the same "expired looking" ricotta. I tried a couple fork fulls but it tasted burnt to me. well done, burnt and dry. Sorry guys but this was horrible and unacceptable. This was to be for my wife and me tonight. Now I'll just make my own, which I'm quite capable of and KNOW it will be edible and much much better than the garbage I was given today. I would call but the convo would not be pretty since I'm in a rotten mood, so I am just writing it here. I won't waste my time or gas in bringing it back. This place is NOT around the corner. I was just passing by again so I figured I'd get some hot food. I should've stuck with the pizza. I mean really; how do you screw up baked ziti and shells? There's 3 ingredients plus the pasta. The Ricotta HAD to be bad to begin with and then the overcooking it compounded it - or vice-versa. I hate throwing away food but this is going in the garbage AFTER I get my wife to take a couple pics. Both meals are in a big bowl, mixed together since the shells fell apart and I THOUGHT maybe the ziti could be salvaged using some of the sauce from the shells but even then, it tasted horrible. Obviously, Enzo's is off my fav. places to eat pizza/pasta list. It does take the #1 worst ziti and shells spot though. So bad I wouldn't even want another order if offered. I'll take the loss. It's not the first time I've wasted cash. Live and learn. Calda, Positano's, Sbarro's, Gino's and a couple other places nearer to me have yet to disappoint, so I'll stay with them. So now, having just wasted $27 and annoyed at that thoughh it could've been worse, I'm going to drink my blues away with a beer or 3 and then I'll feel better - or fall asleep in front of the TV. If my wife takes a picture and we can figured out how the heck to upload it from her phone, I'll do that as soon as possible. EDIT: The bread given with the meal was also hard and cold as if ( again ) it was leftover from yesterday or even before then. But from what I recall about the bread, it looks a lot better than it tastes. I'll be throwing that out too.

I've driven by Tandoori Pizza many times and was always curious to try them. I had the opportunity to finally try Tandoori Pizza since I was at an event at another establishment down the block. I did takeout, and ordered the following: -- Archari Chicken Pizza w.extra garlic sauce (14" large pie for $31.80 with tax): Anchari chicken is typically very spicy, which I was looking forward to. The chicken was barely spicy and extremely dry. I had asked for extra garlic sauce (+ 50¢) in the pizza but I'm not sure if they actually put extra sauce, since it was so dry. Also, the dough reminded me of Dominos crust; very doughy and not very crusty. The toppings were skimpy and the pizza was mostly doughy bread. -- Lamb Kebab Pizza (14" large pie for $31.30 with tax): the dough was the same as the Achari Pizza; doughy and dry. The flavors of this pizza were stronger than the Achari, but the crumbled lamb was extremely overcooked, making it...you guessed it...very dry. Also, We found the price of these pizzas extremely high, given the skimpy amount of toppings and the size of the pizza. $31+ for a 14" pie with skimpy dry toppings and dry doughy crust is unwarranted. I don't know. Everyone else has rated Tandoor Pizza very high, so maybe it's just us who didn't like them. Or...maybe you have to douce the pizza in Ranch Sauce like everyone else?!?! I personally don't like Ranch Sauce on my pizza so that a big no thanks for me. Sorry! I still love Indian Pizza in general, and will continue to enjoy it, but at other places. I'm glad I finally got to try Tandoori Pizza though... curiosity satisfied! On a positive note, the staff is very friendly, polite and welcoming!
