Gino's where have you been for the last 26 years of my life? Actually the more appropriate question is how could I miss this gem and goldmine of a Trattoria and Pizzeria when my Mom lived less than a mile away from 2004 to 2018? I was in New Hyde Park this afternoon and en route to the airport. So I did the awesome Yelp search and Voila! I started with the Mediterranean salad - it had to be the most balanced, seasoned, fresh and delicious Med salad I have ever had. The grilled eggplant was so well seasoned and perfectly done. The blend of the chick peas( perfectly cooked), mixed greens, diced onions, cucumbers and feta was just eye and taste bud popping. I got the balsamic olive oil dressing and an 3xtra hints mustard and all I can say is Wow! wow! WOW! Well the tone was set and the palate and tum tum were screaming " Bring on the pizza". Boy did they bring it! I started with the perfect cheese slice, then two more and had to get the pepperoni that was solo and lonely. The perfect thin, crispy and foldable crust and the cheese n sauce. Gorgeous! I was so into my meal that I completely blanked at my awesome server's name - spunky, quick, knew exactly what I needed and just great care. Loved the outside, loved the inside. Their Northern Italian menu looks very appetizing. I got my foot in the door. Be back very soon. Loved Loved LOVEDDDDDD Gino's. read more

So since yelp only allows full stars, I'd give this a 3.8/5. We ordered pizza for delivery, and got a plain pie extra well done. I can't speak on the service or ambience of this place since we got the pie delivered. Now some of the great things about this pie was we ordered it crispy and even tho it was delivered it remained its crispiness and had absolutely no flop which was great. It's a very very good pizza pie especially to hang with friends and enjoy some games etc. only added garlic powder to it to give it more flavor, I do wish the sauce had a bit more flavor but overall it's a very good pie. I haven't tried anything else from here so I can only speak on their regular plain cheese pie. So take this rating lightly, as I will try more of their menu items. But overall it's a very good pizza, I just wish the sauce had a little more flavor but overall a good pizza. Oh btw even on delivery it still came out pretty piping hot which was nice. read more

This week at work, Pizza was ordered from Gino's in New hyde park which I had never tried. I only managed to take a picture of this one slice, but I chose to try veggie slice and I'm glad I did. The veggies tasted fresh and overall the pizza was warm and good for my liking. The crust was also a favorite! read more

Gino's has been a go to for me and my family for years. We love their grandma slice and the pizza selection they have. Their baked ziti pizza slice, chicken marsala, bruschetta slice and their Joe's club salad are our favorites. Can always count on Gino's for a pick up/delivery for lunch or dinner. read more

Finally took the time out to sit down at Gino's and I'm more impressed than I am when I pick up take out orders. Service is good the waiters are attentive to all tables not just the ones in their section. Baked ravioli was really good I don't remember needing to add salt. Chicken was seasoned and the Alfredo was nice and creamy. Table bread and salad was good as well. read more

Nice spot on Jericho Tpke. that opens early for guys like me who eat breakfast at 4AM a few times a week & are ready for lunch at 10:30. Their pizza is very good, not thin or thick but with an excellent sauce to cheese ratio. Service is friendly & quick. Prices are what you'd expect in 2026, or even slightly better. read more

I have been here before and was always good and now it's under new ownership for a while and definitely stepped up a notch. Brandon is the new owner and with his staff they are very dedicated to making this establishment a staple in the community and Long Island. In the past year I have dined here many times with my wife and friends and attended several parties. The food is always good even with large parties which they can accommodate in one of their 2 party rooms. I have had their pizza, several types, Coffee, Cappuccino, different types of Pasta, and most recently the Eggplant Rollatini, sorry no pic on the Eggplant, all were awesome. Also, their Cannoli and Biscotti are also great. Have not tried their cakes yet. The menu is extensive. Every time we come the staff are very polite, caring and efficient, even if just getting takeout. I am glad we live nearby so we can come often. Kudos to Brandon and his Staff!! read more

To be honest, I thought it was walking into Umberto's, but since I've never been to Gino's, I figured I'd give it a try, the place was dead. I was the only customer so I ordered a buffalo chicken and a margarita slice buffalo chicken was good. It was a heavy hardy slice. The chicken pieces were definitely too big for the slice and the margarita was lackluster, it almost looks like umbertos from the outside. I think that's the whole point of Gino in that area is to get the overflow from umbertos. I wish them luck. I won't be back. read more

Pizza was good we got the garlic knot pie it was thin and well seasoned. Customer service for us personally not that great ... and for that reason alone I won't be back I can't enjoy food at an establishment that serves attitude it felt like we were a bother to be there from the moment we walked in around 7:30pm on a Tuesday night read more

I recently went here for my gf's friend's birthday and to be honest, I wouldn't come here if it's either a Friday or Saturday night. We had to wait an HOUR for our shared appetizer (clams oreganata) and they didn't even taste fresh (fishy). My entree was okay but it honestly could've been better (the sauce could've been fresher). I understand that all restaurants tend to have bad services, but if they can't even handle the food quality, that's an issue. read more

Impressions: We walked in at different times but got quick seating, followed by quick waters, including the lemons I asked for. Solid. Then came unexpected breadsticks! They came with butter not oil, but tasty as a start. The waitress offered more bread and even noted she could bring Italian bread instead. Service: 5 stars. The place had soft background music, nice lighting, plenty of space inside. Ambiance: 5 stars. My friend got garlic knots for the table. They're huge, and super soft, and absolutely delicious. Plenty of marinara for dipping. Even the burnt looking one was perfectly done. 5 stars. Out came the pie, split 50/50 mushroom and sausage+garlic. I had one of each and Oh. My. Goodness. This is the best pizza outside of maybe Staten Island I've ever had. Chock full of toppings - worth every penny to add those. Perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Perfectly crispy crust. Absolutely divine flavor through and through. 24 stars. If I'm ever going to be enticed to come back to Long Island, it's going to be with a visit to Gino's. I have NO CLUE how this place doesn't have 5 stars but trust me: This'll spoil you on how good pizza can be. Nowhere else is gonna measure up. Eat at Gino's. Period. read more

Gino's Pizza - part of our pie: mushroom vs sausage pepper - Pizza Near Me - New Hyde Park, New York

We've been getting pizza from Gino's for a few months now and it's gotten to the point that if we're offered pizza from anywhere else, we ask if they've ever had Gino's. It's not "traditional New York pizza", it's better! The seasoning you normally add to a plain slice, is added to the pizza during the cooking process. For god sales, they have perfected the garlic knot pizza!!! read more

New owners so I thought I would give them another chance. The food wasn't very good. The pasta was overcooked and the pizza was doughy. But the worst part was the attitude of the owner. It wasn't to me but I heard him being rude and obnoxious to another customer. The customer was asking for a particular type of pizza that they were out of and the owner went off. Worst customer service ever! read more

I've been going to Gino's for years now, at least a few times every month. They always have great specialty slices, which is what I usually go in for. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu though. I decided to finally write a review for it after ordering dinner here last night. I saw that they were having a $55 family take out special so I gave it a try. I wasn't sure how much food it would come with, but wow did it come with a lot of food. Tons of chicken parm and linguine, a huge salad, and a grandma pie. Easily enough to feed 8 people. I would highly recommend Gino's to anyone looking for a quick slice for lunch or anyone looking for a quality dinner. read more

I work in the area and have been there 3 times. Almost became a regular. Girl in there did not judge me when I contemplated ordering a beer after a stressful nail appointment. Imagine my confusion when I paid $20 for a slice and garlic knots today that was $13 dollars according to the clerk. I even sat down to eat and he never gave me my change. Won't be back. Yesterday I order the spaghetti and meatballs. The worst you can have. It was bland with no taste. There was no seasoning on the sauce or meatballs. Not worth the $18 plus tax when you can cook it yourself at home. read more

Wow what an excellent place for pizza. In the days of Covid, I ate my food in the evening stars right in my car. I mentioned that as why I have no photos. I was hoping I could give Gino's a higher rating, really hoping, but one of my biggest tests for a pizza place is the buffalo chicken slice. I know. But for me it could be a make it or break it situation. I came in here during the New Hyde Park Street Fair. The place with abuzz with action and it was nice to see this restaurant get some attention that its competitor down the street is known for. It was hot, and all I wanted was a buffalo chicken and a water and to sit somewhere for a few minutes with my mom. She ordered a slice of regular and I ordered a buffalo chicken. The regular didn't need to be put in the oven because it was piping hot, but my buffalo chicken did. Not a problem. After a few minutes, I rejoined my mom at a table with my slice. When I went to go pick it up, it was very hot, so I have it a minute to cool down. I was wrong in it actually being hot, because it wasn't. I don't know if this is normal for them, or if they cook their crust to this standard, but it was rather doughy. With such a heavy pizza I would expect there to be a little crisp on the crust to help structure the slice. But alas, doughy, and if I do return to Gino's I'll make sure to request a well-done slice and see if it comes out the way I prefer pizza. As for the buffalo chicken... I was so... so... disappointed? Sad, more like it. There was no heat. No pinch of heavenly hot sauce fire. Just mediocre sauce on lukewarm chicken pieces. I ate it despite it lacking the oomph a buffalo slice deserves to have. I was hungry and left a bit sad I didn't get that hot sauce fixing I was craving. I believe Gino's can do so much better then what I had, and will make it a point to return when they are less busy. read more

I wanted to eat pizza for dinner. I arrived at Gino's approx 645. Marinara none available Grandma's none Sicilian none Regular pizza only 2 slices available which we passed on. Looked like it was made yesterday. I walked out with 6 Zeppoli's which were hard and tasteless. When I called Gino's to complain the Mgr.said they were baked in the morning. I asked if they were new owners and he replied yes. .It's a shame I've been eating at Gino's for years and unfortunately I will not return. read more

I came here for a psychic event which was held in their party room. It was a nice size room with a bar in the back. The room was pretty plain but there wasn't anything bad about it. There was a bit of confusion when we first walked as no one from the event or the restaurant was there to greet us, but it seemed pretty lax and we found a spot just fine. I was a bit nervous about the quality of the food being that is was going to be massed produced being that there were approximately 50 women there. But we received four courses and each course was really good. An appetizer of mozzarella and tomato, a bowl of pasta (the sauce really good!), a choice of an entree (I chose the tilapia) and cannolis to end the night. The service wasn't anything spectacular but I wasn't expecting anything given that we were at an event. All in all I'd come back for pizza or dinner for sure! read more

Without a doubt, the waiter from Montenegro that served us stands alone at the top of the best servers we have encountered. He was patient with our big and very loud group. All of our questions regarding items on the menu he answered them all in a friendly, polite and professional manner. Each item we ordered from the menu had such delicious flavors, cooked to perfection, sprinkled with the love of the hard-working staff members. We loved the French Fries with Mozzarella. It's the Italian version of Disco Fries. When we went to pay the bill, we did not realize that the gratuities were already included in the final bill. Our fabulous and very honest waiter from Montenegro came rushing back to tell us that we had made a mistake and overpaid him. What a respectable young man, it was so refreshing to see how he handled that situation. Go to Gino's Trattoria & Pizzeria; you won't be disappointed. read more

Pizza. I like pizza. Actually I love pizza. What's not to love really? Bread, cheese, goodness - it's all there. I was in New Hyde Park for a work meeting and we ordered in lunch from Gino's. It wasn't really my choice to have pizza, but I mean it was there so of course I had to have =) We ordered in some plain pies and a large tray of salad. The pizza was pretty good - nothing outstanding but not bad either. I like my pizza to have a slightly thinner crust but I've seen worse offenders. The salad was fine - the Italian dressing it came with was tasty. I'm not familiar enough with the Long Island pizza scene to make a judgement to whether Gino's is upper crust or not; however, from my experience today I can say they serve a solid pie. I'm not running back, but would't be against trying them again. read more

This place has changed ALOT. The owner needs to take charge. Ordered a calzone. Had to wait a few minutes. No problem. I would have waited 5 more for one that was cooked. It looks like a free for all behind the counter. This wasnt a bad place. Hopefully it doesn't go under read more

I tried Gino's instead of my usual Italian restaurant because they left a menu in my door and I thought I would give them a try. I ordered grilled salmon fillet, pasta primavera, escarole with white beans and a Caesar salad. After 45 minutes the salmon was very dry and the vegetable that came with it were the same vegetables with the spaghetti. It was a vegetable "melody" that after tasting I'm not sure if it was fresh or frozen. The Caesar salad and the escarole and beans were fine. I thought the price of such average food was a little high and when I checked my receipt I found that they added a delivery charge even thought they are only 1.5 miles away. The delivery driver was polite. Their menu says they deliver but not that they charge extra for delivery. read more

Our food was not ready when we arrived for pickup, even though we took longer then the told timetable. The bread of our chicken cutlet parmigiana heros was very soggy and was light on cheese despite them being parmigiana. The pasta on the penne slice was too Al dente and the crust tasted stale. The crust was also soggy. I was also told quite a few times that I was allowed to use my certificate for pick up but after my order was placed I was told I was not allowed to use it and only for dine in. They used to be excellent. This is the first Ginos that I have ever gone to where I will not return. read more

Wish I could award 0 stars. All of our 4 dinners had watery sauce to the point that when you tried to eat you would be splashed. Why did the cook not drain the sauce? To add insult to injury we were scammed on the bill. The receipt states that 3.5% will be deducted for cash payment. The bill came at full price as shown on the menu. When we asked the cashier about the cash discount she said that it was taken. We showed her it was not. Then she said that if we used a credit card the 3.5% would be added to the bill. We explained that that is not what their own receipt stated. She persisted in in denying what their own receipt said. We paid and left never to return as we do not need to be scammed on a bill that was almost $150. Shame on Gino's. read more
