We ordered from here since we were visiting my mother at LIJ. My father suggested pizza and this is the place he wanted. I was suggesting Iaverone since we have all been there for dinner several times. I'm such a brat when I go home because I don't want any gourmet pizza; I want that classic NY style slice. Thin, orange grease, and crispy crust. Of course I browsed through all the Yelp reviews and pictures. Everything looked decent. Since we were visiting my mom, we were unsure of the delivery options to hospital rooms so we called ahead to place the order. We ordered pizza and garlic knots. They told us the usual 20 minute wait. My dad opted to pick up the order- he is very old school and does not use any delivery apps or opt for delivery since everything he orders, he figures he can drive to. In my opinion, I did not like the pizza. I hate excess tomato sauce and this pizza was full of it. The bread of the pizza was too thick for my taste. I was starving so I ate what I could but became exhausted trying to get all the excess sauce off. My parents did not complain but I don't think they are as snobby as me regarding the particulars. Straight and simple pizza place, no fancy gimmicks to pull you in. The crust was great, crunchy on the inside, doughy in the center, just how I like it. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch and a buffalo chicken pizza and those came out to $8.60. Even though they were speciality pizzas that was a bit pricey. My chicken bacon ranch was great but the buffalo chicken wasn't spicy to any degree. Luckily I ordered my slices to go and had my bottle of Frank's to douse on it. Gotta get a kick! I don't like the fact you cannot see the pizza being made. Most pizza places all the work is being done in front of you so you can see it's clean, but here there is a separate back room where this happens. I was in the area and was in the mood for pizza. Stumbled upon this place and eyeballed the ziti slice and a pepperoni. I usually like my pizza well done so requested it a little crispy. I like when the pepperoni starts to bubble. Took a bite first from the pepperoni and noticed right away the crust was almost paper thin, almost too thin. It was still decent but nothing great. The ziti slice was certainly better because when you add carbs to carbs, how can you mess that up? There wasn't a lot of cheese on the ziti slice which is how I prefer it. I have been going here for a long time now (just about everyday during lunch) and always used my credit card. One day I show up and they started charging $2 service fee for purchases under $10. Now I understand that they would want cash if I was purchasing like a 2 or 3 dollars worth of stuff, but my usual purchase is $7. it is the price of 2 slices and 1 bottled drink. I think they should accept credit on 5 or more with no charge. I own a business myself and know credit card companies only charge .17 cents + .0325 percent of total purchase per transaction. That only equates to less than a dollar for anything under 10 dollars, which means they are making a profit for swiping your card. Very unhappy with the direction they went in. read more

A zesty Italian dressing isn't overwhelmingly oily and delivers just the right amount of tang. Other menu items are solid. From soups to appetizers to pasta and heroes, you will get a satisfying meal that tastes home made. The food isn't cheap, but I guess it's smart to take advantage of prime location on the intersection of two major roads with strip mall parking. Went to this place a couple of times for lunch when I go for my Dr.'s appt. and I love their bread. I guess I always come here when I'm starving coz I thought the food was decent. I came in today with my kids at 8PM (they closed at 9PM) and asked if they were still open and the manager/owner immediately said yes! We waited 35mins for our food. Saying that the food is tasteless is a compliment because it was awful and tasteless. Awful because the alfredo sauce should be called oil and butter sauce on an uncooked cream. My 7 years old had to put so much salt on his food to be able to add a flavor to it. While we were eating the manager or whoever the guy in charged started sweeping the floor and you can see dusk going all over the place I bet some went on our food. Where I'm from, it is rude to broom or sweep floors when people are eating because you are putting dirt on peoples food. That's not even the worst part! He brought out his mop and the chemical he was using was so overwhelming I had to tell him to please wait until we leave because the smell is too much. He stopped but left the chemical there. I know people are smarter than that to just do stuff like this. I can literally taste the chemicals and had no choice but to just wrap everything up. We left at 8:45pm and stayed 10mins our bill was $56 for 2 tasteless pasta and small pizza. I should've just spent it at Vacarros OR Ciros. I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK to this place and please save your money and actually enjoy it somewhere else. Some staff are Rude and unprofessional not to mention that the food is so bad! read more

I was in a real bind and they came through! I had a business lunch scheduled for approximately 50 people today and due to a series of miscommunications my caterer was unable to meet my time deadline. I called Allessio the second they opened and placed the order for ten pies and a salad . Not only did they not question the 1.5 hour lead-time they delivered exactly on time and everyone said the pizza was delicious. The favorite was the White Pizza with Broccoli and Spinach... A great quick stop for an average slice, the slices are better on some days than others, ranging from good to Tombstone frozen pizza. If you want an authentic, freshly made pizza that could really hit the spot then this is the place. An old school kind of pizzeria that gives the slice with the right sauce, thickness of dough with the right price. We ordered the original, pepperoni, margarita ,grandma and garlic knots. All to our satisfaction after trying many various others, all being the most popular in Nassau county. This is by far the best and our go to place from now on. Consistency of the dough and sauce being an issue we found with most reputable pizzerias on Long Island. This place doesn't disappoint after all these years. Also, staff are friendly and accommodating. If you want to customize your orders it's never an issue and they won't get pricey as some of the other places. I ordered delivery for myself. The girl in the phone was polite. My order was semi detailed, picky and weird. Everything came out exactly how I ordered it. The delivery was super fast, I questioned if it was my food or my friend who was supposed to come by at the door when the bell rang. The food was very fresh. Even the hero bread was fresh and soft.
