It was my first time coming to this pizza store. They have a wide selection of different pizza's. The staff is very nice it does get a little crowded but the staff moves quickly to get everyone's order in. The pizza is really good. The crust is nice and crispy, and the sauce tastes great. They have seats in the back if you decide to eat in. The staff is always wiping down the tables as soon as the customer leaves. I will definitely come back and try their other slices.

    Some good looking food here.

My wife and I had a few errands to run and we wound up the Stop & Shop shopping center at lunchtime. We ran into GiGi's Pizza for a slice and drink. It's a small shop up front with some booths in the back, a comfortable location. They had a plethora of pizza in a small area up front on display. Honestly, anything you can think of was there. (Except the slice with Pineapple.) A friendly team member took our order and asked kindly to wait just a few minutes. It was just that... a few minutes for get our slices. Well cooked, tasty sauce and cheese with a crispy crust. One slice of Pizza and they passed all the tests. We go to that area often so I am looking to try some more of their items. I always like to experiment. KUDO's to the team at Gigi's Pizza

When you first walk in, it looks a little small, but as you go through the front of the store, the back area where you eat at is very spacious for two or a group service was quick and friendly a Mom and pop type pizzeria vibe. Great neighborhood pizzeria. If I may say the pizza was off the chain straight up delicious old school style Pizza crispy cheesy saucy with a thick crust style. They had the TV on there was some music playing. Looks like they were getting for dinner rush, but if you're in new Hyde Park area and a hungry or got the munchies stopping to Gigi's pizzeria you will not be disappointed!

Great pizza when your full order is ready on time , had my pizza sitting for 20 mins while waiting for an order of wings and my food was cold. Only ordered wings for the buffalo sauce to dip my pizza , they said I couldn't just purchase a side of sauce so I had to order wings and they don't give any sauce...

    Buffalo chicken and grandma slice.

Traditional pizzeria inside, seating area to eat in located towards the back and pizza/ordering right when you walk in. 2 folks ahead of us when we came in, service was fine. Nothing terrible but nothing outstanding either. We got a vodka penne slice, grandma slice, chicken bacon ranch slice, and Buffalo chicken slice. The slices are large, which is cool. The flavor was unfortunately bland, I threw a good amount of garlic on my slices to get some level of flavor. The crust was thin and crunchy, which was nice. They charge a 3.99% fee to use a card, all together came to just over $20, which aligns with price of pizza nowadays. Probably won't be running back any time soon.

Very quaint pizza shop, the food looks so picture worthy through the glass. Customer service was average, I asked if they could cut my slices in half because they are very large and they did. Very mediocre taste, I was quite disappointed by the penne vodka slice, I've had it at other places and have loved it but this one was super greasy and you couldn't taste the vodka sauce at all... it was just like having basic macaroni thrown on a slice of pizza. The plain slice was surprisingly the best of the three I tried but still nothing to rave about...

I ordered for pick up which was quick and easy. Pizza was fresh and made well. No complaints. Service was kind when I walked in.

The fried potatoes were delicious, and most of our mains were decent. The sole and second crab cake were fine, spinach was good. Unfortunately, their signature lobster pasta was a major disappointment. It arrived as overcooked, mushy pasta that was scalding hot, like it had just come out of a microwave, with almost no flavor and zero texture. It tasted like cafeteria food, not restaurant quality. We sent it back twice. When we asked for a third try, they said it would take 15 minutes and seemed to discourage us from ordering it again, even though they admitted they could make it right with fresh al dente pasta. That wait time honestly made no sense for this pasta. Desserts and coffee were also weak. The staff was friendly and the wine list had a couple decent options, but the kitchen needs serious improvement. They have potential, just need to cook like professionals instead of taking shortcuts

The new hostess and the greeting by Phillipe could not have made us feel any more welcome. We were offered a choice of seating and while we love the look and feel of the back patio it was a bit too cool and breezy out there.... We decided to sit in the front room as it is generally quieter and more low key. There were many larger groups with celebrations and you could see they were all having a good time. Our waiter Luis, came and introduced himself, brought our menus and inquired about water, drinks, etc. We told him we wanted only pumpernickel rolls: they are warm, fresh out of the oven and truly addictive. Our waters and my white Zinfandel arrived shortly thereafter. Our fresh goat cheese salad arrived with the raspberry vinaigrette and as always it was carefully divided. Luis came to check on everything as he and other staff members ( both members who we know through dining here repeatedly over the years) and new additions. Everyone always treats you like family. Very good pacing of the meal.... Nice and leisurely, not rushed but no long breaks between courses. Then our main dishes arrived. My husband had the pappardelle with mixed seafood, no sausage- plentiful and loaded with flavor. I get the shrimp a La Rodos.... 5 very nice sized shrimp with with lots of diced fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, served with my 2 favorite side dishes- mashed potatoes and beets.... All YUMMY and very generous portions. My husband's Stella Artois arrives in a nice cold glass with the main dish, as requested. Luis again checks on everything and then shortly thereafter we get the surprise of the evening. Peter, the new owner stops by and chats with us. It was a pleasure to meet him: we are sure he is very busy running back and forth between his two restaurants. and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We had a lot to talk about. Well, he has a tough act to follow but so far the food, service and hospitality are still 5 star !!! We ended our meal on a high note. A FABULOUS meal has to end on a sweet note. We were offered about 5 or 6 dessert choices. We selected the chocolate mousse cake. A rich, creamy sweet conclusion to a superb meal served by a warm, caring staff. Everyone including Luis, Felipe and the new hostess gave us a fond Farewell on the way out. We eagerly look forward to returning after their vacation at the beginning of August !! Congratulations, Peter, Phillipe and staff !

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

This is because the food was overpriced for the quality of dishes served. The bread was room temperature and was obviously purchased from a bakery. I was expecting warm bread, recently baked in an oven--the kind that would instantaneously melt butter smeared with a knife. I had the fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was somewhat rubbery, and it was coated in a tad too much flour. I prefer mine flash fried in a dusting of flour. The calamari did not taste fresh caught, either, and It was served with a side of garlic aioli. My preference is for a side of marinara sauce, which pairs perfectly with calamari. I had the Lobster Il Toscano, which cost $85. It was lobster meat from two, one pound lobsters sautéed out of their shells. The lobster was between firm and mushy. It did not taste fresh caught, like what I get in the summertime for a similar price while dining in any of the seaside restaurants in the Hamptons or Montauk. I also ordered the New Old Fashioned, whose main ingredients are Maker's Mark and Vermouth. I did not like it because I do not like Vermouth. I overlooked that it had Vermouth in it when I was looking at the cocktail menu. My dinner cost me $132 because they put a mandatory $20 mandatory tip on the check. The bill was originally $112. CAVEAT EMPTOR: There is a sign saying that they want CASH TIPS! There is free parking in the lot across the street once the ticket is validated in the restaurant. The restaurant is in a Tudor-style dwelling, and it is big enough for celebrations and events.
