Inconsistent quality. Sometimes, our order is great. Other times, it's all wrong. Like our most recent one, in which I ordered a gluten-free 12" pie with full pepperoni, but got only half; a 20 oz soda, but only got a 16 oz, garlic knots with no sauce, and both pizzas were cold upon arrival. Rosa's and I go way back. This is the pizza I grew up with in Queens when I was able to scrounge up enough change to buy one of their sauce on top sicilian slices. It was my go to for many years. It was great coming into to this location and checking out the case that was absolutely filled with a variety of fresh pies. On this occasion I went for one of their Chicken Caesar slices. I remember when I used to get this I would scrape off the salad and chicken onto a plate and heat up the dough part so it was nice warm bread with cool salad. The counter guy just heated up the entire slice which probably isn't the best treatment for lettuce - still delicious though. Anyway, anything you get from here is probably going to be tasty. AMAZING AMAZING PIZZA. I had a Macy's pickup order close by, and was feeling for pizza. I went on doordash and stumbled across this pizzeria as it was 7 minutes away. I ordered 2 BBQ chicken slices , 1 buffalo chicken slice, 1 white pizza slice and 1 rigatoni slice. ALL WERE PHENOMENAL. I had to take a bite of each of my families slices lol. The slices are also HUGE. There was a crowd inside , but I waited no longer than 5 minutes for my order. The men behind the counter are super friendly, and there is a variety of pizzas, garlic knots drinks etc . There is plenty of room to sit as well, with tables and chairs . I'm giving this review based on experiences I've had with nearby pizzerias. This is the best one in Great Neck. I wouldn't say the best I ever had. It's a little lower on the list. When you're used to Brooklyn pizza it's tough. The prices are typical for GN so they're high. They don't take too long on orders and the employees are usually nice. It's good the pizza doesn't have an annoying sweet sauce. Too bad they don't have a good thin slice. They have a good variety of pies and other menu options. We were in the neighborhood and decided to try a slice. There were quite a few different pies to select from. They had veggie pies, meat pies and some In between. I went with the veggie pie that had broccoli, tomatoes, mushroom, onions, pepper. To our surprise there were some pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Loved it!! There was a person to take your order. Stopped in today for a bite to eat. The Panini with Grilled Chicken looked delicious so I ordered one with a side of house dressing. It was delicious! It seems to be on a big garlic knot. New favorite!!! I also picked up a Chicken Roll for my grandfather and this thing is probably a foot long! I'm sure he will enjoy as well. Each item was about $8.50 cash price. I'll definitely keep coming back to Rosa's. The food is good, the service is friendly and quick, and it's nice and clean in the dining room. I wish I could give it 0 stars honestly. Every single time we have ordered from here there's been a problem. We have ordered at least 3 times in the last few months. We either have missing items, they're delivered in poor condition, or we just don't get our order at all, which is what is currently happening to us today. Every time we call, we are met with EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional service, they hang up on the call, lie about the status of the order, and they are currently arguing with us regarding a refund. It's one thing to have a bad day, and we have often given them the benefit of the doubt... but at this point, they just suck. They really do. It's unfortunate I have to write this review but after multiple times of having the same issue I feel it is necessary at this point. The food here is honestly good, that's not where the problem lies. Unfortunately, almost every single time I've ordered, something has gone wrong. Either an item is missing, or I receive the wrong thing. My fiancé and I ordered for delivery 2 salads and 2 regular slices and one of the salads was missing. The next time we ordered a buffalo chicken salad with FRIED chicken and 2 regular slices. Instead we received grilled chicken on the salad and 1 grandma slice. (??? What happened to the regular slices?? A grandma slice wasn't even part of our order) . Those are just 2 examples. The ironic thing is they always staple the itemized receipt on the bags of exactly what you ordered meanwhile the bags don't contain the correct items. It makes you think, are they even reading the receipts themselves. Clearly not. At first, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple orders with the same issue, it's really disappointing -- especially when you're spending good money and looking forward to your meal. It's a shame because the food itself is good, but the inconsistency with the orders has really left a not so great impression. It shows a massive lack in attention to detail. Let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVE Rosa's Pizza...ALL the Rosa's Pizzas, everywhere. Their upside-down slice has sustained me since my days of working as a musician in Manhattan in the early 1990's up until this day. Rosa's of Great Neck is no exception. Although the counter service is as gruff as every other pizzeria in the region, their food never disappoints. But here's why I will not be going back to Rosa's of Great Neck. At some point, NY State labor laws gave restaurant owners yet another way to underpay their workers. By introducing the possibility that servers could earn tips, they could pay workers a sharply reduced salary from the minimum wage. Now, all the owner has to do is add a tip screen to their checkout display, and the $15-16 minimum wage is reduced to, I believe, $11. This also enables restaurants to advertise a price lower than what you will ultimately be shamed or bullied into paying. I have long accepted the reality that when I go to a restaurant and a server runs back and forth to the kitchen for me throughout the meal, I am expected to tip them. And I usually tip generously. However, when I go to a pizzeria (not specifically this one), where all the "server" does is yell "Who's next?" as soon as I walk in the door (and then usually hurries me along to make a decision about what I want), I do not see any reason to pay a nickel more for my slice than the menu shows. And I do not see why I should be expected to tip more for a slice with mushrooms than a slice with cheese, even though it took the same amount of effort for the counter person to toss it into the oven. The last time I went into Rosa's of Great Neck, the woman behind the counter flashed that tip screen at me. I gave her a look and said something like, "TIP? Come ON!!!!" and proceeded to enter "No Tip." Of course, when you do that, the tip screen stays active for what seems like a full 60 seconds, just enough time for everyone around you to see that you didn't tip. This was followed by what felt very much like a sarcastic comment from the cashier, who looked at me sideways and said "Thank you. You have a nice day, sir." From this point on, my slices, however good they tasted, were ruined. I was agitated and couldn't wait to leave the pizzeria. And even though I have long made a habit out of stopping at Rosa's every time I am in Great Neck, I knew this would be the last time. I know you have a very wealthy clientele in Great Neck, my friends, and my guess is they don't mind adding $2-3 on to the price of two slices of pizza, but the rest of us can't afford to help you pay your workers. Hopefully, if enough of us stop coming in because of this, you will realize that it's more profitable to you to pay workers a decent wage and delete the tip screen from your payment terminal. read more

I called the restaurant, and they assured me it would be there in under 20 minutes. Fast forward to 8:45 pm, and the pizza finally arrives--cold. So, not only did I wait over 2.5 hours for a simple delivery, but the food was practically inedible by the time it arrived. No updates, no apology, and no sense of urgency from the restaurant. I pass by this pizza shop frequently but finally decided to get some pizza here since one of my friends told me about their large fresh pizzas made to order. When a photo looks good, you hope the pizza tastes even better. A slice is about $4 which is pretty average nowadays. The eggplant was sliced thinly and evenly spreaded on the pizza. The BBQ chicken was loaded with small pieces of chicken with sweet BBQ sauce. I would prefer if they left my pizza in the oven for a few more minutes because I want my slices hot with crispy edges. I used to be a regular customer but will NEVER order from ROSAS again. I ordered delivery and they left out my drink. I called them back and they said they would bring it over, I said it's fine, you can refund me instead, but he insisted on bringing it over. I open my bottle of soda, and it explodes EVERYWHERE on me. Ruins my new shirt and pants. Obviously this was done on purpose because the driver was pissed off he had to come back to drop off a bottle of coke. But you could have just given me a refund like I suggested!!! I speak with the manager and explain the situation to him and he said it probably got a bit shaken up during the ride. I order delivery all the time and this has never happened before.
