Food was not good at all. Tasted like reheated food, no flavor. For the quality, prices are too high

Ok, so we used to love this place and would order sometimes twice a week... BUT tonight ...not so good!!! My wife ordered Garlic Shrimp and I ordered Udon Noodle Beef. The food got here and it was piping hot (a good thing) but it was not garlic shrimp and my udon beef noodles had eggs and vegetables and it just had an unpleasant smell to it. The worst part was when I called to tell the guy who took my order he acted liked it was my fault or like I was trying to rip him off I guess. He did not seem to care about taking care of a good regular paying customer. Sorry, Fang Bistro but that was our last time. read more

Tried Fang's Bistro for the first time and it was an excellent experience. Called in order for pick up which was ready within 15 minutes. Staff was helpful, pleasant and welcoming when I picked up the food. The dinner combination of Szechuan chicken with steamed rice, hot and sour soup with crab puffs was hot, fresh and very tasty. Portion size was very generous and food was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Fang's Bistro. Give them a try! You'll be glad you did! read more

Dine in visit Feb. 2022. Service was great throughout our dining. The hunan chicken was excellent! Fresh veggies, white meat chicken, and a wonderful sauce with some spice. The House Won Ton soup was also excellent, lots of fresh veggies, nicely flavored broth, chicken, shrimp & pork. The vegetable fried rice is also nicely flavored with lots of fresh vegetables. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the freshness and flavors of the various foods. The restaurant was clean and the servers wore masks. I stopped in after discovering it earlier in the day. I have a regular Chinese joint down the street and a good back-up not too much farther. But I'm always down for good Chinese. I visited Fang's Bistro around 7:30 on a Saturday evening. My first observation was parking could become an issue, especially if anything else opens in that building that's open late. My first impression of the restaurant itself was clean and modern, without being distractingly over-the-top. Not a surprise for a new restaurant in a new building. The place was relatively full, with the booth I was offered being the last unoccupied one; those who came after me sat at tables with chairs. Service was expedient, overall, but I did have to signal across the room for a tea refill. I was happy to see the lunch combos were also available for dinner, though for an additional $2. I hate it when dinner menus only offer big entrees, so that was a big plus in my book. There are also some deviations from the boilerplate special offerings and I chose the Bourbon Chicken with steamed rice, hot & sour soup, and crab Rangoon. The soup came out quickly after ordering. I'm a big fan of good hot & sour and will rule a restaurant in or out based on this, alone. Fang's hot & sour is acceptable, but I found it too watery for my taste; I prefer a thicker soup. I found the Bourbon Chicken tasty, but I felt it could be more flavorful. The chicken had quite a bit of gristle, but it wasn't enough to turn me off. I ignored the two florets of broccoli. The rice was....well....it's hard to screw up rice. The crab Rangoon option came with two pieces and were crispy, the way I like them. My bill with tip came out to about $16 and I felt satisfied without feeling full. I think the extra $2 for a dinner combo is unnecessary and without it, I feel the meal would be right on target for value. In sum, I'll add Fang's to my rotation. It won't be my go-to Chinese joint for now, but I still need to try more entrees. read more

So glad we found this place just minutes from home. Food is delicious in the restaurant, and now that we can only order out, they didn't disappoint. Delivery is fast and food is hot! My kids miss going to the restaurant because the waiter is always so pleasant with them. Must add to your list of takeout/delivery restaurants. read more

Great take out! I've stuck with the same takeout for years now with the exception of trying the other to see how they compare. In my opinion nothing compared to the place I used to get Chinese takeout from until I tried Fang's! They have a great selection with some stuff you won't see at any other Chinese place around here! They deliver to th house for a cheep fee and as far as selection huge , prices are hirer then the place I use all the time so I expected something more it was ok but for what I like and quality I'm going back to my regular haunt which is great ‼I would recommend this place if your more into sushi rolls the list is endless.Although I haven't tried any! read more

Best Chinese food in Cypress So far we have ordered Pineapple Chicken (my new go-to dish), Sweet & Sour Chicken, Sweet & sour Shrimp, Steamed dumplings, Egg rolls, spring rolls, and Sesame Chicken. Everything has been delicious, lots of flavor, the ingredients are fresh, the chicken is not chewy like some other places. And I love the Sweet & Sour sauce. Another reviewer commented that they skimped on the Sweet & Sour sauce but I have found that to be the opposite. They give more than enough. I think the prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area and the portions are large. It has been years since we've had a decent Chinese delivery option out here. I just found my go-to Chinese restaurant! We ordered Mongolian beef, general tso chicken, egg rolls, wonton soup, and a crunchy roll. Everything was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and not overly breaded. It also wasn't chewy like some places serve; the chicken tasted fresh and real! Ha! Crunchy roll was great too! Decided I'd write this review while I had the time sitting on the pot (since this establishment's food handling practice is the reason I'm sitting here sick on the toilet). How do I know it's this place that made me sick? Because my wife and I ate all of the same stuff yesterday, with one exception: chicken lettuce wraps from Fang's Bistro on Barker Cypress. I knew something wasn't right with the chicken in them after I ate the first one. The chicken tasted bad--like spoiled, dry chicken. I'm willing to bet money that it had sat out all day or it was leftovers. It wasn't fresh at all. Since this is a new restaurant, I'm going to assume they're trying not to waste any leftovers and aren't throwing out old stuff to save money. Now, on to the rest of the food. The sesame chicken was 2.5 out of 5 stars--your "run-of-the-mill" sesame chicken you can get at any other place. The vegetable fried rice was 3.5 out 5 stars. The tempura shrimp and crab rangoons: 3/5 stars. Overall, the food is just average. Their food handling: 1/5 stars. So, this place is getting 2 stars in the end. I'm going to pass on any future opportunities to eat at this place. read more

I'm trying to put more good reviews up as I come across restaurants that go above and beyond. This place earned their 5 stars. I've tried just about every generic Chinese eatery around my house, and unfortunately nothing has really made me want to come back. Yelp informed me that Fangs had just opened up outside of my neighborhood. I have them a shot. We ordered honey chicken dinner platter and general tso chicken. We also had wonton and hot&sour soups, egg rolls and crab wontons. I also ordered a crunchy roll of sushi as a side. Everything was a 10!!! Everything was not only done well, but the flavors were fresh and vibrant. Service was excellent as well. I'm so happy to find this establishment. read more

This was our second time visiting here. We find this to be quite a nice new restaurant. The ingredients seem to be fresher than some of our area Chinese restaurants. And maybe a little less greasy. I love this place! The food is delicious & the prices are reasonable. I have rated the Szechuan Beef, Garlic Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, & Kung Pao Chicken 5 out of 5 stars. Those are the only menu items tried so far - but I have a pretty good feeling that all the other menu items rank as high. As if this wasn't enough, the hot & sour and egg drop soups were excellent - and the egg roll & crap rangoon were nice & crispy. Can't wait to go back very soon!!!! read more

Mongolian beef is actually Mongolian onion w like 5 bits of beef. Chicken wings are bland. Egg rolls are tiny and bland and soggy. They forgot our fried rice said we could come back and get it. But we asked for a refund. We were supposed to pick up our order at a certain time. We arrived in time but waited 20 min more. We picked up the order but wasn't allowed to open the bag to check. Got the sushi combo. About grocery store quality, more or less. Salad was meh. Ginger dressing had too much daikon. Hot and sour soup was only hot. No sour and no black tree fungus in it, which I love. Crab Rangoon are alll wrap. Hardly any filling. They forgot our miso soup too. Basically a third of our order was forgotten. I'm not picky but any means but this was a $60 disappointment. This was at most 30$ of food. The Mongolian beef actually p$ssed me off with HOW LITTLE BEEF there was. Like. Average Chinese take out. We ordered the dinner special, which was mongolian beef and general tsao chicken. The beef was cooked to a good temp but it wasn't quite the Mongolian flavor that I have tried before. Chicken was ok, extra saucy which was a little much. It came with soup, eggroll, and fried rice. The egg roll was actually pretty good, it was soft didn't get too crunchy like some do. The fried rice were a little on the dry side. Not sure if I will go back. read more

We enjoyed our first visit. We received a flyer in the mail that stated they did not use MSG. Since they're very close to home we decided to stop in. Service was very friendly and the food was really good. Some things were hit after our preferences but the overall flavor and freshness was good. Tried Fang's today Jan. 24th. I must say this was amazing Chinese food. I haven't had such great Chinese since I've left New York city. The sweet waitress told me everything is cooked fresh and not reheated like most Chinese places. I ordered orange chicken it was spicy and delicious. I ordered 2 rolls: St. Patrick and Sky Diver, meat fried dumplings and shrimp fried rice. The rolls were pretty, but that's about it. Bland and I should of never ordered the St. Patrick, it was awful and I couldn't even finish it. The ingredients did not taste fresh. The dumplings were burned a bit on the bottom, but probably the best part of the meal. The shrimp in the fried rice weren't so small that they could not of been deveined.
